- In this animated lecture, I will teach you about ionic bond and covalent bond in chemistry
Also, You will learn that how ionic bond forms between sodium and chlorine. How covalent bond forms between chlorine gas. The Lewis Structure of ionic and covalent compounds.
Q: What is Ionic bonding?
Ans: A chemical bond which is formed by complete transfer of electrons from one atom to other is called ionic bond.
Usually, Ionic bond is formed between metals amd non metals.
Metals, having low ionization energy, lose electron or electrons. While nonmetals, having high ionization energy, gain electron or electrons.
For example, the bond in table salt or sodium chloride is Ionic.
Q: What is Covalent bonding?
Ans: A chemical bond which is formed by mutual sharing of electrons between atoms is called covalent bond.
Usually, covalent bond forms between non metals. One atom share its valence electrons with other atom to get stability.
For example, covalent bond exists in oxygen gas, chlorine gas, hydrogen gas, etc.
To learn more about ionic bond and covalent bond, watch this lecture till the end.

May u get all the happiness u deserve😊
Ur a bot
Fantastic explanation of Covalent and Ionic Bond with examples, thanks a lot of Sir.
Yes you are right!
No long explanation no theory, just 2 simple things better taught by other teachers ,thanks!
Tomorrow is my exam and don't no what is ionic and covalent bond thanks for explaining both of these bond
What you do in school or class? Lol

I saw many videos but finally got here.
Thank u sooo much sir
Sir.... Please make more videos. I understand the concepts very easily by your videos.
Sir u said at 3:45 to 3:55 that the non metals will become stable but then u say that they become cations and anions. Plz clarify which one is correct sir. And plz know that u r doing a very noble work by teaching us. Plz continue it....
Exactly...🙌🙌
Good answer..
🖒🖒🖒🖒
Oho... that means the ionic bond is the thing which makes the two molecules stable right??
@@HiddenScholar1 thank u so much. U made my day....
@@NAJAMACADEMY luv u sir...
