- Richie is an Aussie teenager struggling to come to terms with his homosexuality; which is not helped any by the fact he has a huge crush on Hector, an older married man. His 'coming out' is a tortuous one at times, but eventually he finds love with a boy more his own age.

I freaking loved this. It was almost like a mini-movie!!! I loved Richie, and even though he had freakish tendencies, he had his really cute and quirky moments as well. I really enjoyed the fact that his mother was so supportive of him and wanted him to come out to her! Also loved how comfortable and direct Lennon was with Richie, which in turn made Richie more at ease with it all. At the beginning i thought he looked like a total tool but by the time the thing ended i was half in love with him. I love videos that do that. Brilliant story.

This is such a beautiful story about friendship and love in a young person's experience. Thanks so much for sharing this. It's true that the issue of homosexuality is still a big problem in U.S California because we are too puritanical. This is why I love such stories from the UK. They are more open and accepting about these issues.

I liked this. It was very sad that Richie tried to kill himself because he is gay. I'm glad that he survived. I live in California and gay teen suicides are still a big problem in the US. California is the first state to pass a law that went into effect this month making gay history a mandatory part of the curriculum in our public school system. Finally we are teaching our students that it is ok to be yourself whoever you might be, that it is ok to be gay! Tolerance, acceptance and Love!

Great episode. It's very difficult coming out, and sometimes the road can be extremely rocky.
This guy made a huge mistake. The girl is the only one that could talk to someone that she was being raped. He had nothing to do with that!!!! That girl made a mistake too. Only Richie could talk honestly about his sexuality to his family!!! Secrets only can be revealed by ones whom possesses them!!!!

Hector is married to the woman who fires Connie. He's also the man whom Ritchie takes pictures of in the swimming pool dressing room. Connie & Ritchie were both obsessed with him. Apparently, Connie lied to Ritchie about the rape. At the clinic, when Ritchie accuses Hector, Connie lies that only Ritchie was obsessed and outs him.
Lucky that Mom finds Ritchie in time and he finds a boyfriend at the end so quickly!

I loved how real this was.Richie's dad was cussing and smoking from a bong with his porn mags,his mum was working dating knew he was gay.I loved how cool she was when Richie couldn't tell her and when he overdosed.The ending was awesome.That wasn't a joint?
You never know who or what is waiting for you around the corner. It's best to hang in to find out. Life does get batter, and you have to stick around to see what happens.

I don't get it. All these people being cold with Richie, while it's Connie who lied and made him out Hector as a rapist. What did Richie do wrong?
Moreover, when Connie learned that Richie had told the ''truth'' to Gary and Connie, she said all those things about Richie... But the reason Richie stalked Hector was because he wanted to reveal the truth, no?

At first I also got confused here, but then I got the nature of that mouth-kiss: it is but a intimate expression of friend affection (just like in some families) or more like a highest loyalty covenant of fluids-sharing (cf. \a blood or spit covenant), if you go back to that kiss you can see nothing sexual in it; besides, Connie has got a boyfriend herself.
