One of the GREATEST American bands of ALL time!! Rock On .....!

  • @RikiNewtonMusicianSongwriter

I love Los Lobos soo much !! I think they're just ace.. So many of their songs make me wanna dance - yet go weak at the knees by the beauty of the music too. Two examples : would be 'Don't Worry Baby' & 'Evangeline'.. Or 'Will The Wolf Survive' .. Also adore their brilliant covers of 'La Bamba' & 'Come On Let's Go'.. Great songs to make yer feel good when life feels difficult to deal with. My love & respect go out to those guys - & peace (Give It A Chance) be upon all man (& woman) kind across the globe. Rxx

When Bill Graham put on a benefit he ALWAYS did it right! Unlike the company that now owns the name Bill Graham Presents, who have never put on one major benefit, Bill ALWAYS made it a point to give back to the communities that he worked and lived in. This show being a prime example of this dedication!

I'm in Thailand and haven't seen them since about four years ago at Stanford at the Bing or maybe Hollister at Pepper Tree but Louie was one happy guy and they always rock and one of the greatest dance bands you can find anywhere next to the Dead and the Dead ain't no more so you can do the math ... the Wolf shall survive andale pues with peace and love

Wasn't this the Earthquake Relief Benefit? Yeah I hate to brag, even though I wasn't at this one; I saw them many times along with Santana for free at U.S.C. where I used to work, but also with Black Uhuru, as well as several times with Grateful Dead including at the A.I.D.S. research Benefit at Oakland Stadium and the bill Graham Memorial free show in Golden Gate Park. Lastly, for free the last time the so-called Street Scene was still worth a damn down here in San Diego (also at the L.A. Street Scene, obviously similarly before the gangbangers made it get discontinued). Notice on the organ the Grateful Dead sticker!

In 2011, Los Lobos received the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement award, yet they still aren't in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?! What a travesty! The R&RHoF's website states, "Inductees are recognized for having contributed over 25 years of musical excellence." I guess the Rock Hall had to recognize such important bands as Def Leppard first. Give me a f'ing break!

I graduated from Watsonville High. Funny they played in Watsonville and not Pajaro across the river. The Mexicans, Filipinos and okies lived in Pajaro. My mom and Mrs Venezuela were best friends. Mom would take the family food on Sundays and we would play with the boys and girls. We didn’t know we were poor till we went too High School in Watsonville, they let us know. Watsonville was a racist town back then. If you want to see the real Farm Workers in Watsonville, Delano, Tracy and Stockton. See the real farm workers documentary about “.
