This still sounds fresh in 2023, kula shaker are one hell of a band 👌
yo los escuchaba en la tele en un canal de musica de los 80s etc tenia 14 años asi que creci con muy buena musica 😊
Still fresh in 2024......still fresh in marte too
This is a message directly to anyone in the band. When you were filming the video to this song in London you spoke to a bunch of schoolchildren who was on a glass bridge outside of the London dungeon whilst you was on the top deck of the bus you were filming on. We were bunking school that day and shouted out to you asking who you were, and Crispin shouted out that you were ‘Megadeath’ whilst flashing the rock and roll Baphomet sign with his hand. Since we were children (about 14 years old) we replied with a bit of abuse but it was only banter because you was all wearing make-up for the video and we thought it was funny. A little while later I saw the video and actually loved this song and was glad that I was there to see it filmed, if only for a couple minutes. I just thought I would mention it in case anyone from the band actually looks at the comments because it’s probably quite a memorable occasion and you might remember it which would be funny. We all thought you was a proper cool band later on and still do. All the best for the future to you all👍💯🔥😈💙😁
¡Locazo!
this is rich!
Im a middle age argentinian man and to his day I believe England is the eternal craddle of great bands. Period
This is the coolest song in history.
I am a Metalhead but this song

Gracias Radio Doble Nueve Lima

It's the kulest 🤡
classy band, lots of substance, full sound, loved these guys back in the 90's, timeless tune from a timeless album!!!!!!!
I love the music of Kula Shakur from the 90's.
I have met Crispian Mills and his family a few years ago. He is an underrated musician .He sings great songs and he is deeply Spiritual as well. I used to watch his mom in her movies when I was a kid. Haley mills was part of my childhood from her movies and tv shows.
RAIL WAY CHILDREN LIVED UP THE ROAD FROM HER
So lucky to have lived in the 90's, the best decade and this is just a slice of it.
@John Gleeson Truth. You forgot the 70's influence on a lot of the bands in the states. Especially STP and Black Crows
what were the best parts of the 90's?
@@whitebuffalo4904 Oasis, Nokia and Dial-ups...
Nope, the 80s was the best. Just look at how many new genres of music came out in that decade!
50's Rock N Roll, 60's Beatmania, 70's Psychedelic Rock, Hardrock, Glamrock, Disco, Punk, New Wave, 80's Pop, Dark Wave, Gothic, Neue Deutsche Welle, Heavy Metal, Ted and Rockabilly Revival, EBM, Rap, 90's Techno, House, Eurodance, Britpop, Numetal, Hip Hop, Grunge, Crossover, Trance, Goatrance....all decades was great. ❤️🙏
Back in the 90s, I used to say.. the 60s are classics!
Now I am in 2021, listening to 90s music.
Mindblown
Crispian Mills was definitely influenced by 60's music. His mother, Hayley Mills, was friends with George Harrison and the Beatles. Crispian's spirituality would seem to be influenced by Harrison. He also plays such 60's tunes as Hush and Cream's I Feel Free. I was talking to a teenager about Kula Shaker in '96 or so and he said his parents listened to them and he thought they were a 60's band.
本当にかっこいい!懐かしくて、今さらだけど本当にかっこいい!
20 years since I've heard this probably. And I still remember all the lyrics! Top tune, this.
Blows me away every time- even 25yrs later!
It is one of my all time FAVORITES!
What a mammoth song to kick off their 1st album and career! Can't believe they weren't huge in the US, nor can I believe how awesome this video is & that this is my 1st time seeing it after being a fan for over 20 years!!! In a word perfection! Magic from the start!!!
Going to see them in a few weeks at Sheffield Leadmill.. Happy days!
It’s a wonderful record
Oh man, this triggers so many memories. 1996, 17 years old, just passed the driving test, Kula Shaker K on tape blaring out of an '81 Ford Escort.
Brilliant
Snap, except it was a Fiat Uno with this and Firestarter
Then you went to bed, and woke up today 42 years old, wondering where the time went by.
Almost same except I had an 87 datsun pickup truck. I had spent the summer in England and bought back K on tape to Texas.
@@remoteworkboard cool
These guys sat nicely between The Stone Roses and Oasis when listening to my tunes in the late 90s. They was an upswing of psychedelic groove laden bands amongst the britpop onslaught. Kula Shaker stood a bit taller with they raw talent and India influences. Crispin Mills was coming from a totally unique perspective. I still have them on my playlist, along with my beloved Stone Roses and Ride, Ocean Colour Scene, Oasis, blur, The Verve, The Charlatans, The Dylans, Soup Dragons, Suede, Pulp, The 5:30, Top, Primal Scream, The La’s, Cast, The Boo Radleys, The Farm, Inspiral Carpets and so many others....
Jesus thats a playlist of note!
Definitely. A verve and oasis y charlatans s guy …. But this stuff was sooo. Eastern and loved it …..after all it settles to the top Scream and Mondays made the naughties. Of course Ian Brown …. His solo stuff along Ashcrofts was the bomb
... Supergrass, Black Grape, Happy Mondays... What a list, dude! 🤘
@@robotkarban6935 While I wasn't a big Shaun Ryder guy, I did love Supergrass. There were so many bands that didn't get the limelight, but still had a moment in the sun. Whiteout. The Northside. Wolfgang Press. Lush. Menswear. Gene. Chapterhouse. The Longpigs. Elastica. Echobelly. The Divine Comedy. Mansun. Manic Street Preachers. The Bluetones. A-House. Sleeper. Marion. Space. The Seahorses. Embrace. Shed Seven. Campag Velocet. These Animal Men. Geneva. Gay Dad. Rialto. 60ft. Dolls. Dodgy. Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. Super Furry Animals. Heavy Stereo. Hurricane #1....lol. I can't believe I remember all these bands. Some good. Some great, but all had a tune or too that stayed with me.
@@jb8280 What a list haha
この曲にすごくハマってアルバム買ったな~懐かしい。大好きな曲!!
いまだに聴いてます笑
kね!
Heard this for the first time in about 10 years yesterday and was stunned. I don't think Britpop has dated well in general but this song still sounds fantastic!
Nobody was doing what Kula Shaker did. Britpop bands claimed to be 60s influenced but only Kula Shaker really got stuck into Psych!
This video does not do the song justice though!
These guys tricked me into Mantra Meditation as a teenager and I think they saved my sanity in a rural, abusive household now, looking back.
How did they do that?
@@ashleyrichards5194 with theirs music... music is a good form of escape in abusive homes.
Iollllllllllllls SSS I 😊😊
All meditation. Good stuff for literally doing nothing 😊
How did they trick you?
I discovered Kula Shaker with this song and it really changed my world. To this day one of my favourite 3 bands ever.
This song came into my head today, hadn't heard it once in 16 years - my mind decided to play it to me lol.
Great track. Groovy vibe. So present for 2023.
say again in English?
Toba is tatsu?!?! Explain 🤔
I just came to know this band like this year.. I wish I could have know them much earlier.. They rock!!
andreas rahutomo better late than never, yeah? I'm in love myself
Saw them live in Denver 1996 and it's still gold 💥💪
Hell yeah at the Bluebird!! xx
This song is really brilliant! I especially like the bassline. Also, the ending is very cool. AWH WHAT AN AMAZING SONG.!
It sounds further cool after 22 years!
I'm here listening to the music of my youth. Corona has got me all kind of reflective. Time machine to the 90's anyone?
I was born in 99 but I've listened to indie and britpop all my life, I'd love nothing more than to go back to the 90s, one of the best decades for British music
@@cybister4864 I know people who have died from covid so no it's not

I'd go inside that time machine. I get so sad when I am reminded of the 90s.
Kula Shaker was my first concert. Fantastic show! Still love these guys :D
That's a bad ass first. Mine was Page & Plant!
Mine was showaddywaddy. Ok, I was about 10. Saw Kula Shaker twice to compensate.
Brett Hudson mine was oasis

So 90s it hurts. Love it, in 2018 !
Kula Shaker are still fucking awesome, one of my favourite bands and I still think they are Kasabian's inspiration!!!!!!Just a humble opinion amongst billions of minds!!!!!!
For real. I thought I was only person when I first heard Club Foot by them thought it was Kula Shaker
I get that👍
Remember hearing this at Knebworth when they supporting Oasis on the sunday in August 96, they were the first band out of about 5 other supporting bands before Oasis that day. Kulashaker came out at approx. 3/4pm and started with this (which was to be released a few weeks later) after we had all been let in at about lunch time (long wait in a huge sloping field area in baking August sun). As they were about to release it I had never heard it before till that day they supported, next morning after at Kings Cross from leaving Stevenage couldn't get it out of my head, great song to start that day off with, great days, ha.
Great memory, thanks for sharing :)
Been scrolling endlessly for songs of my youth. Got my drivers license back in 96 and 90"s Indies and alternative were a huge part of all those memories. I keep finding stuff I've forgotten about almost everyday and it's a good feeling to reminisce. I remember having to wait for a song to come on the radio so we could record it on a tape!
The best decade. Period
I love this song and the whole Album K
Memories of hanging out at my mate Damien's after school. The house was dank, pokey and stank of cigarettes, and we would play PS1 games while listening to this stuff... I miss those days.
Don't clean up your shit, smoke cigarettes and never open the curtains. Reminisce.
Just brilliant takes me back!!!
Absolute class !! Can't wait for the new album this year,2022......and hopefully a tour also (saw them twice in 2016,they were unbelievable!!!!!!)
Im Australian r u guy's kiwi's, first heard this L8 -90s,. Coola Shaka legends and the mutton birds especially nature song. 🤙✌️All 2020
These guys are so good. Most underrated band of the 90s.
So the lead singer Crispian is the son of British actress Hayley Mills, who famously played Pollyanna. His grandfather was the actor Sir John Mills. Some magic creative genes in that family.
@@iridium8341There are in the genes.
Mr Wikipedia🙄🤪
Wow, I didn't know that...I still ❤❤ this band (2023)
He also wrote and directed the movie Slaughterhouse rulz
Saw them live recently they were fantastic!
Este mantra nunca morirá 🏴🇮🇳 saludos desde 🇨🇱
Born in the 60s saw the 70s loved three years of the 80s then the 90s revived music ,. Not sure what’s happening now
This band was made 8 years before I was born and they rock!
Beautiful video, amazing song. I miss those years...
90s was happy times ❤
I remember being at Knebworth back then and seeing that black strat on the stage on its stand before they came on.. Was a great gig.. Lots of good bands that weekend.
Been listening to this tune for around 15 years, this is the first time I've seen the video haha
I had an intense crush on Crispian in the day. I’m 35 now and still don’t go for guys if they have a short back and sides. Game changer!
Then there's hope for me and my hair yet. :D
Nowt wrong with short back n sides but yeah, I agree, he's well fit.
Me too, I fancied the arse off him but never admitted it
He looks like Dougie fromTravis
im a guy and I have a crush on Crispian
Saw them at a small venue in Nashville or Memphis back when “K” came out- and they were fantastic!! I’m also nicknamed for Crispian Mills’ mother, Hayley.
I love Kula shakers forever
Me, too!!❤

Didn't know Pakistan was Hindu religious based. I thought they were mostly Muslims. That's the sound Kula was dabbling in by the way. Eastern Mystical sounds. Hindu was his belief system
Awesome music video, singing this song made me feel so rebellious...fun memories.
GORGEOUS😂💕
Excellent track, excellent band...
2024 . . . still rocks!!!
Seeing in London tonight, been waiting since K came out for this!
Hey dude,

Best Karaoke tribute band I have seen and heard in many a moon.
I was 9 when this came out and I played it on repeat for about 26 years.
just saw k has a fifteenth anniversary edition out. i swear it was just yesterday when i got all emotional seeing them live! they will always be amazing.
This band is so underrated it's ridiculous
I wouldn't say that. This song went to No.2 in the charts. They are under-appreciated, mainly because Crispian Mills thinks on a different level to most rock musicians where life is concerned. He's intelligent and outspoken and that's what I like about him.
Despite selling millions of records they're underrated....
Saw them at Cambridge Corn Exchange, supported by Soundtrack of our Lives. Still got the sticker given out on entry on my Bass 😎
Love this forever
God, I love this song!
Sounds fresher than ever
One of the best songs of all time.
90's Psychedelic rock. Kula Rocked
Crispian mills- underrated guitar player imo
