A version of this has been around a while for driveways. I think the expanding version like this that’s cheaper is somewhat newer, but I could be wrong.
Okay for a walkway but my trucks and car tire's always dig into my gravel driveway, over a short time because I park each vehicle in the same three places they each would each that plastic up and I am back to square one. Also just a pickup but 6600lbs that plastic is going to tear and collapse. Yes diesel is torquey.
I’m going to see how it feels once the whole thing is done. Right now it ‘s pretty solid without compaction. But I might try tamping the whole thing just because I imagine with rain and over time it would naturally settle a little bit without it.

Other than being a raking guide and a borderless border what is the advantage of this approach over an metal edge?
