What a gorgeous piece of music, and wonderful video. Am I imagining things, or are there parts of "Longing for Heavenly Country" that are almost identical to parts of "Stunningly Beautiful" (e.g. from 50 seconds onwards in that piece)?
Dear Jestrada, thank you! I am grateful this piece and music video are a blessing to you. Your question is interesting, as I have never thought about this before. These pieces were composed about two years a part and are unrelated. When I listen to them I believe the left hand four chord progression is the same in places, but in a different key. The melodies are unique and the tempos are different, even through they may sound similar in a few places. This was very kind of you to notice this. I first noticed the similarities of these two pieces because on "Treasures of Peace II" these two tracks followed on right after each other, so it was quite noticeable ("Hey, didn't I just listen to that melody already?"). Thanks for taking the time to reply. I've only recently discovered your work, and am really enjoying listening to your `back catalogue'. Delightful work (especially since I am also a Christian, and appreciate the thought you've put into each piece), and I'll be recommending it to my Christian family and friends.
