I’m loving your realness way of teaching. “I don’t need it to be perfect… I want people to know it’s homemade” That’s real talk. Great instructional 😊

Sweet video! Some places still sell retro looking embroidery patterns ( Walmart, maybe Hobby Lobby, maybe online). Really cute. I knew that plastic wrap between papers, works with an iron, but didn’t think about the plastic on the back of the freezer paper! Great!🥰

I use a regular iron with freezer paper. I put my image (usually paper or fabric) face down on top of several pieces of ironed cotton fabric to protect my hard sink counter or table. (I think it works better on a hard surface rather than an ironing board.) Then I put the shiny side of the freezer paper down & iron on the back, so only the non-shiny side is between the iron & the plastic side. My iron goes to level 7 & it seems to work on as low as 4 or as high as 7. I rarely use something as thin as a napkin or tissue paper, so I rarely get wrinkles. But with thinner materials ironing on the front might be better if you want it very smooth.
If you adhere a piece of fabric to freezer paper and cut the result to a standard paper size (such as 8.5 x 11) you can run it through a printer. Just make sure you place it in the paper tray or feeder with the fabric side in the right position. Some printers print on the top side and some on the bottom. Then you can peel off the freezer paper and have only the fabric to use in your project.

Just make sure to be careful if you have one of the Quartz countertops because they don’t like heat as much as granite. I have quartz and still love it!Yay!

I just got the wool ironing mat and it is great for crafting! I must say however, I cringed when you were applying the mod podge to the pattern pieces without putting your placement back down! LOL. Protect that wool ironing mat!

@@plethoraofpaper6388 I saw videos about using freezer wrap to back stuff. I think I had a pattern on my desk and it was pretty tattered and I just thought” why not?”. A lot of times I see someone’s idea and then I try to put my own spin on it…make it my own. Hope that all makes sense. I’ve been like that for as long as I can remember…..always making something unique or different is my style!🙂
