Here I see one thing, These cities of Namibia Windhoek and that one of Botswana, and the rest cities of South Africa, are historic cities (old cities) they have been built by colonizers. While Kigali ❤🇷🇼 is a new city, modern city, African ideal city. So you can't compare because those people have a colonial mindset while Rwandans are self-reliant. Thanks!

@@derickcastor8008 Yes, that is true.. a historic with relatively new city... but other aspects, they have in common... like the cleanliness and great infrastructure makes them unique and stand out in Africa
Swakop is another vibe.
Namibian cities are more developed than cities in Rwanda, infrastructure is at a higher level in Namibia, I visit and live in both countries so I speak from experience. The only thing that Rwanda has more than Namibia is greenery, but the Namib desert is beautiful. Swakopmund is more beautiful than Kigali, if you visit these cities you will understand why I say that.

How can you compare a capital city to a small town? But still Swakopmund won. You cannot put a price on historical architectural art compared to cheap modern infrastructure.

@@derickcastor8008@derickcastor8008 You don't know what you are talking about . All those buildings that you see in the CBD of Gaborone the Capital City of Botswana were not there in 2009 . The whole CBD of Gaborone was Just a bush before 2010, but in less than a decade the Botswana Government managed to construct the whole CBD which never existed before 2010 . If you want you should Visit Gaborone and ask any Tswana and you will be told exactly what am telling you . There was no CBD in Gaborone before 2010 . All those buildings in the CBD of Gaborone are still new that's why they sparkle . Even in Windhoek the Majority of buildings in the City were build after the country got independence . Infact Windhoek and Gaborone have many New buildings that Kigali . You are even wrong to think Swakopmund Namibia is only full of buildings from colonial days . What you don't know is that Swakopmund Namibia is the only town in Africa where every new building is required to be constructed according to the German Architecture . Infrastracture in Swakopmund is highly regulated to maintain a uniform standard of infrastracture and to align the uniqueness of the town with European type of buildings. Most of those buildings that you see in Namibia, Botswana and South Africa were built after the countries got independence . They were even built using African resources and it's really pointless for People who think like you to say Windhoek, Gaborone , Cape Town , Durban, Swakopmund and other developed African cities were built by colonisers . If you think it's Senseless to use anything that was designed by Europeans ask yourself these questions . Who designed the phone that you are using, including the motorbikes and cars that they drive in Kigali roads ? Whose language did you use to write your the comment ? What about the Suits, Pair of Jean trousers that you wear, are you really sure they were all designed in Kigali ? For information Namibia is one of the youngest Nations and the Country got independence in 1990

After what happened in 1994 the country was completely destroyed in National bank they were 4000 rwf and they destroyed all infrastructures even though there weren't there due to the bad colonial Belgian even though colonisation is mpt good but all they did something good to African country but see countries colonised by Belgian Burundi Rwanda and Congo see them now!!!!

History tells us that the Civil war that happened in Rwanda lasted for 100 days only from April 1994 - July 1994 . Rwanda is not the only country that has ever experienced Genocide . Even Namibia experienced Genocide that's why the Namibian Population is very low . The Population of Rwanda was about 6.5 million during the 1994 civil war . About 700000 civilians perished in the war . This means only about 13 percent of Rwandease were lost in the Genocide . Do you know that in Namibia 80 Percent of Namibians were killed by Germans in the 1906 Genocide against the Herero and Nama tribes ? The percentage of Namibians who Perished in Genocide is far much bigger than the Percentage of Rwandease Genocide . Using Genocide as an excuse of low development in Rwanda will not justify your point because many Namibians perished in the Genocide than Rwandease. Namibia with a small Population has managed to use few people to build massive modern infrastracture than many African Countries, including Rwanda . That's why when Wode Maya Visited Namibia in a video entitled why do Africans visit Dubai instead of Namibia ? Wode Maya said in his entire Journeys across Africa Swakopmund and Walvis bay are the two most beautiful places that he has ever Visited . Search for the video & listen to what Wode Maya said about Swakopmund & Walvis bay Namibia at the beginning of the interview .

@@dudy the bikes are affordable; costs less than a dollar. once the populous is able to earn more they will move more towards vehicle taxis like uber.

Kigali is a very new city in Africa where everything is new. During my trips l talk to people and here’s is the over view
1: Rwandans are scared even to talk about the government though they are very good people
2: Namibians are very open minded on so many things- they have European lifestyle
3: Kenyans are the most democratic people l have seen in Africa- open minded as well
4: Tanzanians are very welcoming and super friendly though they don’t know what’s going on in the outside world
5: Ugandans are scared of Their president- They are very happy and lively people
6: Burundians actually don’t know anything at all
7: Ethiopians are walking in fear, so cold poeple and they don’t believe in themselves
8: Batswana people are so cool- they don’t really give a damn because their country is so peaceful

@@dudy I know for sure that Namibia is beautiful. Somehow, Germany has had an influence there. Rwanda is overrated; the government pays many magazines to list it as the best country in every category, but on the ground, the reality is different. Namibia is more democratic, while Rwanda is authoritarian, and its citizens behave like robots.

There are cities that had been built by colonizers like Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, south Africa, they had imitated the designs of Europe because the most places belonged to white people BUT Rwanda is only built in 30 years 😂 it means Kigali is still growing, still new, modern designs and most Engineers are Asians. It might be different!
I get your point- Swakopmund was founded by Germans back in the days and it was a very small town but now the town grew and it’s the Namibian government taking care of everything. All the buildings in this video are actually new. The government spends alot of money to be built in an old style architecture and it makes it one of the most expensive town in Africa.
Kigali is built in 30 days which is very great but l don’t like the fact that the Engineers are Asians: The world knows about Chinese architecture that it doesn’t exist for so long

I'm a Namibian and honestly Kigali is way ahead of both Windhoek and swakop . For a city that was jus built some centuries ago Kigalis infrastructure is modern and beautiful, but it's all love for our African cities.
