I'm still amazed at the banter you share as a news team. Here in MD, all the anchors, sports and weather people are professional but so uptight and when they do interact, its contrived and pointless. Whoever the GM is at your station, they're pretty open minded with letting you all be yourselves.

I don't use book marks nor fold pages. I just remember where I last stopped reading. I can pickup a book and within a minute remember exactly where I left off.
Sending you a bookmark from where I work to the station... those of us who work in public libraries certainly don't like turning down pages, but for personal use it's your choice!
I've never dog-eared a page in a book, but I can see why people who don't have a bookmark handy might do so. People who use bookmarks typically don't have the fancy bookmarks -- they use any scrap of paper to get the job done. The past 10 years or so, I often either use 3x5 cards or Post-It notes. People who use memory systems can memorize the page, but it kind of depends on your reading habits and how often you're reading that book. If you're reading more than one book, on an infrequent basis, you might have to spend time reviewing and refreshing your memories, especially if you're reading lots of other stuff and/or extraordinarily busy. Books I own I'll sometimes use a pencil to write in the margins to draw attention to important passages. I would never do that with a library book, or a book issued me in school though.
I'm surprised you don't always have a future boyfriend in the metaphorical " batter's box" and also a whole slew in the dugout just waiting for an opportunity at a chance for a relationship. Then again, there are only so many Chad's out there.🤷
