Could you explain why or why not we need to correct for autocorrelation in a neural network when using time series data?
The basic fundamental is to check for auto-correlation using Hypothesis tests - Darwin Test. Accordingly remove/correct the autocorrelation as per your business needs. Neural Network helps solving complex use cases, training a complex dataset, nothing special in NNs except for now if we are using Gen AI, it takes care of everything.
