I don't think people understand what 'inception' is supposed to mean. It does not mean something inside the same thing (Dream in dream) but it means giving someone an idea while making them think they came up with that idea
I think when most people say "inception", they don't mean the word "inception" but the movie INCEPTION. I loved Inception as it embraces the concept of, as you mention, dream in dream. so when they see something inside the same thing they refer it to Inception.
People have HUMOUR so that's why thy are able to laugh at the joke but while you....

Not only do I remember the first time I watched this movie (in which, I left the theater literally shaking), but I also remember the next two times. The second time, I watched it at home with my parents (my mom already saw it once, as well). My Dad is not a movie person at all, and I was afraid he just wouldn't understand and lose interest. Surprisingly, he enjoyed the movie so much that we had an hour long discussion about it afterward. The third time, I watched it in a college class "studying" how the movie is really a contemporary film noir. This made me look at the film in a whole new light.

This movie is actually meant as less of a mind-blow type than just a movie to make you think. Each time you watch it, the more things you notice, and each one ties into the plot so beautifully. It's probably the smartest movies I've seen.

The movie is flawless...
Except for the 2 hours worth of expository dialogue and an extremely unimaginative dream state and wasted opportunity to really explore the subconscious and the human condition...except for those glaring flaws it's flawless.

No movie is flawless. Just watch "Everything Wrong with Inception". There are tons of mistakes in the movie...tons of mistakes that you will obviously ignore.
It's one thing to love and enjoy a movie, it's another to completely turn a blind eye to any plot holes and issues in the movie that other people are pointing out. I loved Inception, but there are definitely fundamental issues surrounding it that CinemaSins, ScreenJunkies and HowItShouldHaveEnded all point out.

That was based on the view of their actual age (specifically outside the dream). In the end, it's revealed that their minds truly aged in Limbo, hence why it showed a flashback of them looking older. Realize that despite mentioning how they lived for so long, they still look like their actual age when Cobb was narrating their time in Limbo. It's intentionally done that way to hide the truth of Cobb and Mal's time together, and to foreshadow the ending when Cobb finally let go of his wife.

brian head is not fantastic. Is good, but is just that. There are much better 'mindfuck' movies out there, who actually have a viable history. The history on this one is clumsy and has some plot errors. But hey that's just my opinion.

They took the most open ended premise and used to create.... the same old action flick, but with slow mo time, very little creativity, and copious convenient coincidences.
They can dream up anything and they dream up people with guns and themselves with guns...
