- In a horrific incident a mob has attacked students in Ahmedabad based Gujarat University after they offfered Namaz during the month of Ramzan on campus. The students, many of them international students from Africa, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan said there was no mosque on campus. The students have alleged that policemen stood by while the accused fled. The police has said one arrest has been made and severe action will be taken against the accused

The university authority must specify that offering namaz in the university premises is valid/illegal or not; what's the rule of the university?
They were given permission by the hostel as they are foreigners as the mosque was far from their hostel

The international students of Gujarat University were praying special prayers "Taraweeh" during Ramadan in their hostel as, there's no provision or facilities of prayers in the University complex.
These international students formed a small group among themselves to pray congregational prayer without any disturbance.
Some people are claiming that foreign students should respect Indian values and culture.
Where's the question of disrespecting Indian values arise? These students were simply praying as per their religious obligations.
It is RW Hindutva Hooliganism that disrespects other cultures and disrespects international students in this country.
If India can not respect the customs and religious obligations of international students, the RW fascist Modi government, should better stop accepting international students in Indian universities.
