Great process and beautiful result! I really love the idea of the initial careful drawing with architectural lines and shapes, then the introduction of some chaos and textures that give a more organic feel to the painting. Theses splashes and stains match really well the 'spirit' of New York, a city that has a lot of personality! 🚕
Thank you for sharing this. I was amazed and impressed by Tim's unusual watercolour techniques. Very inspiring.
Tim, I watched the whole thing -- it was absorbing and wonderful!
I just started using paynes gray to sketch in my values. So far, I am happy with the 2 paintings I've done and watching this demonstration tells me I am on the right path. I am not seeing all your splashing as a positive, especially at the end of your painting. But I am learning and probably will understand better as I progress in my skills. Thank you for a very informative demonstration. You are a good teacher.
Thanks so much for posting this - a great learning experience.
Very informative and pleasant demonstration. To say I've been inspired would be an understatement! Thank you Tim, your work is amazing.
OMG I never know before that we can use bristle brush for acrylic and oil for water color. Thanks for share.
Love he validation of things I have learned by trial and error, but which are generally considered outre by most of my peers.
A delightful exploration into your process Tim. Hopefully more to come.
Pretty fantastic! I got a lot of good tips from this one!
What a wonderful way to express the versatility of watercolor ! I enjoyed your process from start to finish 🤗 thank you for sharing 🙏🏻
That's awesome!
Fantastic!
Gracias maestro!...🐗❤🎨🔥
So interesting to watch. But hard to see you splatter paint on top of all your first work. Gorgeous at the end. Thank-you
Amazing!

Awesome, Tim💗 What a beautiful demonstration! 💗

Wow so brilliant! Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful! Thanks.
Even if he would have left it at the grisaille stage it would have been awesome, great work

What brand heat dryer is that?
Excelente trabajo Tim , me gusta . Quisiera saber que tipo de papel usas ( lbs o g/m2 ) . Gracias .
At minute 3:50 he says 300lbs.
Are you talking to a live audience? I see shots where you're looking out somewhere and not at the camera.
What is the point of photographically copying reality? Especially of copieng photos of NY? It's like painting the insides of a sewing machine - the same aesthetic. Shouldn't the painter interpret what he sees?
