Building Flaps for a Sonex

  • After playing around with open source avionics for a bit, I've decided to get back to work on the physical airplane. In this video I complete my flaps.
    Be sure to review any drawing updates on the Sonex website. I built my first flap without checking and found out that I needed to remove over 60 (!) rivets because the original, printed drawings called for shorter rivets that weren't correct. You can find the drawing updates here:

      Thanks. My father was an American soldier stationed in Germany, where he met my mother. I was born one of the times they were stationed there.
