Alfa make good engines and bad electronics. It's the Alfa way.
It gave more of a V8 growl when it was fully open
@@DeathByKappa Alfa doesnt make electronics, they buy it from Bosch, microchips, wires, sensors and so on! They use the same electronics as they are in Audi, BMW, Opel, VW, Mercedes and more! I drive only Alfa's for 16 years now, why i never had any problem whatsoever with electronics or mechanical parts? Alfa never left me on the road, whenever i go i reach my destination without a problem, but strangely enough i have seen plenty of german STATE OF THE ART cars that are sitting and waiting for road assistance

10:27 fun fact, when they launched the Z3, they actually balanced a 7 series on the A pillars to prove it didn't need a need rear roll-bars. Weirdly enough however, a year after launch they installed roll bar mounts to the car and included the roll-bar as an option .. then the roll-bar itself became standard fit later on (it's a nice mod to do to an early Z3 without one). Guessing they had a few 'incidents' early on so quietly updated the car .....
I dont think it was incidents it was legislation as youll notice all convertible had roll over bars fitted, either fixed or pop out
@@CGCTV I'm guessing they all learnt from the incidents of previous models that thought they could make an A pillar strong enough. Delicately balancing a 2 ton vehicle is very different to flipping a 1500kg car over and dropping it, like a roll-over.

That test drive of the BMW gaves me flash backs to the first test drive my mate and I had in the home brew turbo 1.8 mx5 that we done. The stupid giggles when it first hit boost and made turbo noises and the test drive in the dark smiling like idiots 😂❤

@@simonwillgress I don't know but I would think you're looking at £1k+. A nice Milltek etc cat-back is £6-800 depending on the car and they're mass produced. This man is an artist with a welder.

As fantastic that would be , it’s unfortunately unlikely as the Banks brothers tend to build 105 , 115 chassis cars and other transaxle Alfas . I don’t think FWD interests them 😢

I've gone off MCM lately... not enough nuggetness! and too many subarus! 😂in all fairness, when they did the Golfs I lost a lot of interest in the content and never really picked it back up! Preferred the series like 2wisted vs 2sexy or wasaabi, or the vtec mini!

I had the V Reg 2.5 V6 156 Alfa Romeo few years back with a cone air filter & stainless exhaust system ( can’t remember the brand / make ) but OMG did it roar . . . . . Daniel.

I think they're awesome man. We got very few in the states and I've always loved the way they look. The power figure for them is also very good for the time they were in production here.

I would have been surprised if they went over... we had a B16a EG civic racecar with a side exit straight pipe (terminating before the rear axle) and it was 121db

I know our parents told us we shouldn't have favourites, Taylor has always been mine🥰 While Alex is the noisy jock - and obviously keeps the whole thing running - sometimes Taylor makes me giggle just by a look. Him and Alex clearly get on as pals and colleagues but being fairly new to the series, other than that general impression I know little to nothing more....
So I come at this without the benefit of knowing too much about them but from the start of my discovering the channel, I have cackled at least once during any episode featuring Taylor as I find it both hilarious and charming that, to my eyes, he comes across as camp as tits - although more Charles Hawtrey than Kenneth Williams 😀 I have literally no idea where his preferences lie and what his what my mother would call "domestic arrangements" are - it makes no odds but even if it transpires he is happily married (to a woman!🤣) I'll simply make him an honorary gay - actually, he's probably not bitchy enough for that: I think he sort of exudes long suffering and beatific patience which is just as well given the task of keeping the lid on Alex's puppyish excesses! Although it doesn't occasionally prevent a look which is more "Oh Chraaaiiiisssstt, do you really think we should do that?" That, or an expression that speaks to his mocking pity of the heterosexual man's total lack of vision and imagination 🤠
I may be so wide of the mark but I also think of Myfanwy chastising Daffyd for being a bit prim and precious about his unique status in the community thanks to his male - oriented affections. Once he's blown it (pun intended) and they're at the bar together, she often huffily tells him that's another opportunity missed with the delightful words "you could 'ave 'ad a bit o' cock!"😂😂❤❤
For me this takes a good slice of that irreverent sense of good fun - and kindness and tolerance which is such a signature of us Brits - and slaps it onto a show that happens to be about cars. But through its nuance and personalities, I don't even look at what they buy and what they do with their purchases - I just enjoy the energy💃
