I don't collect Joe's, but did as a kid. The Snow Serpent was always one of my favorites. This one looks so fn cool. The wolf hood is badass.
I believe Robo described T.A.R.G.A.T. as one of his childhood Joes... That would make a cool Classified, but surely would be a deluxe set.

The space guy was the T.A.R.G.A.T (Trans Atmospheric Rapid Global Assault Trooper), part of Destro's Iron Grenadiers. One of my first and favorite bad guy characters. In fact I think he was my very first Cobra/Destro figure.

Love how the opening highlights the inherent absurdity of it all, not just serpents in the snow, but when Robo has a perfectly good snow themed character to use for the skit, he instead chooses Beef Boss. Hat's off to you Robo, the Joes would've used the same tactic.
I may be selling off my Classified collection but I can still appreciate that they are great figures, this one looks like it's no exception. That said I'm debating keeping and going with with collecting just the Dreadnoks, my inner Mad Max fan connects with them more than the other figures.

Remember when it was tough to pick your top ten Marvel Legends? Now pick your top ten Classified. I was a Joe kid. My brother and I had a decent sized collection. So Classified is Nostalgia Extreme for me. More polar/Arctic characters or variants please! Frostbite, Beachhead variant, Snake Eyes variant, Scarlett and Baroness variant, Ice Viper, etc… I’ll take em.

Can't wait to get this one in hand. Classified continues to kill it with each new figure. I think Scrap Iron might be my favorite for this year. But Snow Serpent is pretty cool. And then there's Maude.
The knife can be stored in with one of the rockets in the backpack. The rocket fins hold the knife blade in place perfectly.
The GI Joey gun is the one from the cartoon. LOVE that one.

Sad to say the gummy weapons are apparent with the recent releases. Spoiler: tunnel rat pistol and knife 🥲 still a great figure though 👌

Night Creeper is the last of my Needs that hasn’t been put out or announced in the Classified line.
I'm pretty sure that at pulse con they name dropped night creepers. I hope it's pretty much retro. I definitely want the leg sculpt and paint deco of the 80's figure. Not what they did with the "Core" figure legs. Upper body of the "Core" for character design I think was acceptable. But, I would prefer full retro for night creeper. I'll start with buying 6 of them please! And then we must get a full retro night creeper leader, in his orange and black tiger stripe pants and shirtless glory! Then, later they can use movie Snake eyes body in teal blue (I think that was the color) for ninja force night creepers. I'll take 3 of those as my elite night creepers.
I ordered 5 snow serpents because, I'm bad with money. Got the 3 from Amazon, waiting for the 2 from BBTS. I hope they give us the version 2 snow serpents with the purple cobra headed rocket sled. That's the one I had. I'd need a few of those, as well! And Blizzard can be the next snow joe! And Iceberg, and some joe snow mobiles.

When I was growing up it was TMNT, Star Wars, dinosaurs, and superheroes (Batman, etc).
I never got into MOTU, GI Joe, or Transformers, which is crazy any time im reflecting back
I was the same with Action Force/GI Joe. I thought the toys were cool looking, but the setting and storyline didn't grab me. I think I was a little too young to fully appreciate it. I preferred toys with more of a fantasy element (He-Man, Star Wars, Transformers, etc), so the military stuff didn't appeal to me until I was older.
@@Rocket1377 my mom was, and still holds true, that she never liked the idea of kids playing with guns... so we never owned a toy gun or anything of the nature... aside from space blasters in Star Wars I can't think of many other toys I had the would have had guns. Hell, I even had a few Gargoyles when that started coming out but still no guns.
The whole thing stemed from her belief that playing with guns would kinda "desensitize" a kid into thinking they were fun, or a toy etc and how easy it is for kids in their imagination to pull out an invisible gun or toy gun, point it at a person, and "fire" and she always felt it unnerving for a child to do this.
She was also a cop up until I was born... I'm the 80s... and she did have her police issued gun in the house. I never used it, I never played with it or looked for it, but I know it was in the house and I didn't ever look for it.
... so military toy lines she probably wouldn't have bought for me even if I did like the cartoon lol

That rifle is indeed too small and bendy, so I used it as a catheter for my Granny. And there's a hole in the back for the knife, says Snowjob.

It is a pretty decent figure, with plenty of accessories; my only nitpick would be the fact that they included that knife and yet the figure doesn't feature a sheath for properly placing it.
We'll probably never get a blacklight figure so this might go in that spot

Man I wish Marvel Legends had this articulation set up, for the upper torso you may want to Dremel part of the socket for more forward motion on the arms, I don't understand why they didn't do that when the cut would be hidden by the harness but at least it's an easy fix.
I would like to replace the head sculpt with Outback's head and keep the wolf "hat".

My guess is they didn't bother to tool a spot for the knife because it wasn't originally intended for him. Besides the rocket launcher, he weapons all came with the Cobra Valkaryies who do have the sheath for it. And since the knife is probably in the same mold as the guns, it was probably more cost effective to just leave it in instead of tossing it after it was molded.

My snow serpent as a kid was the other release where it had purple in its suit colors. So no nostalgia for me for this version. I just think its pure awesomeness.
White base, yellow/or green? fur parts, purple face cover? That's the one I had, too. It looked to me like a ninja version of snow serpents. The snake shaped rocket sled that version came with would be badass in classified!

The purple snowboard is the best part! It had a snake sculpted into it at the front, and rocket engines at the back. I think the file card called it a rocket sled.
I don't exactly remember how much purple was on the figure. I was just mentioning the notable details of the design. And I liked the figure because, it gave "snow ninja" vibes. I think I had just missed out on the version 1 snow serpents when I started getting Joes. Like Scarlet because, she was released year 1 in 1982. My first ones were from 85-86. So, I didn't know many of the figures that existed because, I was very young, likely picking through whatever lasted on the pegs the longest. Lady Jaye and Quick Kick were my 1st two.
I was describing it by memory. But, I think I got the important details. I'm a bit color blind. So, eyes/brain have trouble perceiving certain information about color. Like I'm missing something about certain greens where it takes someone telling me it's green, and not yellow. So, I default to, "It's yellow/green" because, I know I could be mistaken when I say only one of those colors. I can tell a Hydra soldier's green body suit from Wolverine's banana yellow. But, I've come across a bright vibrant yellow-green where I seem to only pick up the yellow and miss the trace amounts of blue.

@@shincedon655 I kept all my Joes from the 80's. But, my mom let my nephew get in to them and boy was I mad. Not sure anymore what ones I lost because, of that. But, I retrieved the most important ones I could remember. She did that several times before my yelling at her finally sunk in that they're valuable not just to me but, could be very valuable to someone else. Meaning big money for me unless some little kid destroys them. That was 15-20 years ago, now! I think I still have the snow serpent one place. And the snowboard another place with a lot of other figure's accessories. It will be a fun project for my retirement replacing all their O-rings. Time made them stiff and brittle. Most were broken last time I looked at them. The plastic pieces are still intact. I just the plastic threading for the screws don't give way when I do that.

Those are my favorite, something I haven't thought about in years suddenly flooding back. The Ramen Toys 80s Commanders Blue Antagonist Cyborg did that to me recently and it's still sitting here because of it.
You just know that as soon as you get all his accessories on, he will need to use the bathroom.
They went with the McFarlane setup for the butterfly joints and crotch 🤦♂️
The crotch has always had that set-up, with a rubber overlay.
So many of his accessories have to be packed in teh box which is unfortunate. A cut in teh stomach pouch or the wrist fur could have stored a knife. You cant store teh shoes if he has the Snow board or vice versa. Im thinking of a modification so he can carry all 500 lbs of his gear at once.
Everything is good to me but i just think the wolf cloak should've been white
It is not a great solution, but if you put one rocket in the back of the zooka, the knife can clip into the hole in pack...🤷
Also wish that the snowboard bindings were adjustable, I can't have all my troops riding down the mountain goofy footed, as a 25+ yr regular footed skateboarder it just won't do 😕
Snow Serpent is easily their best figure.
