  • Quick tip: Pretend someone's holding your mouth shut and you're trying to yell. Sing your high pitch right after that. You'll activate your support, and space in the back of your throat = high pitch success! 🎶✨

It’s nighttime here. Can’t wait to try this tomorrow! I made an interesting discovery about opening up high pitches…I was outdoors listening to a very loud crow or more likely a raven. It was calling CAW CAW CAW. I started imitating it. Intentionally making it loud and shrill but not at all forced. It opened up the back of my throat and got my tongue out of the way. I created a fun vocal exercise making an ugly CAW CAW CAW. And then I was able to refine the tones up to the highest pitches in my soprano range with a pleasant floaty yet supported feeling. A fun and rewarding surprise. It actually helped me in my recent choral performance!
