Joy Shaba She did that because she thought Mary had sent her a coded letter that said to kill Elizabeth. It turned out that it was not Mary after all. It was someone trying to get in between Mary and Elizabeth. Lola thought she was following orders from her Queen. You could tell she was actually friends with Elizabeth and did not want to do it, though.
