My napkin rings were made simple with embossed Stitch only in solid colors. Thank you again. I am very new to crocheting. Learnt during pandemic by watching you tube videos. Aren't you slip stitching in the SAME stitch, then slip stitching in the NEXT 2 stitches? That is what it looks like, to me. However. your instructions say to slip stitch in the same stitch, then slip stitch in the next stitch. It doesn't say to slip stitch in the NEXT 2 stitches.
I agree. I tried this today and my flower had nine petals. But it looks cute.

That's why I had 8 petals. It looks pretty from the back tho. I followed the written instructions. 😅
I tried it your way and still got 6 petals. I wonder how you get five petals
