- The FG61TS has ample power and fly's over scale. Its not a 3d plane by far. When I get more comfortable I will work out the STOL performance. 1st flight the flap mix isn't there at all and very needed to keep level flight. Flight 2 needed to get more expo in the elevators. Fuel consumption in this plane is like none. I flew 8 minutes only using about 1/8 tank. I estimate an easy 25 plus minutes of flight if you wanted. See below for info:

Looking really good, Brenden! That Saito sounds great.
Thank you as well, Kevin!
Man, that is a badass plane. Those flaps really make the plane settle on in. Very well done!
That flew nicely.
Very nice!!
Nice plane!
Thank u
Bravo! 👍👍
There used to be a Piper plant not far from where I live. Quehanna Piper, way out in the sticks. Sadly it closed many years ago. There's a low security "boot camp" state prison standing where Piper used to be.
That’s different
Great stuff! Nice video and great plane! You should come fly with me in the Real full size XCub!
Let me know when and where. I am in. Serious!!!!
I’m in Palm Springs, CA. Any time after August 1, 2020. 😎
Just a bit of throttle on landing will smooth it out, and landing on one wheel is cool too.
Thanks. Still trying to work that out. Just went from a 22x8 from to 22x10 hoping to help keep air moving a bit.
Saito sips fuel...silver wings , cloudy sky? Saito sounds like a truck in the air...awesome... flaps are speed sensitive...
Oh for sure almost 25 minutes of runtime. Thanks for watching
Excellent flight! I have a question about the wheels. On the Espirit Model website it says that say, an 8" wheel weighs 625g- is this one wheel or a pair? I'd like to get a pair of 6.25" for my Carbon Cub 15cc - it says that size weighs 370g. The 6" Kavans weigh 190g for a 2x 6" ones- I'm just wondering if these bring the strength and softness of the classic Dubro 600RV ones with the lightness of something like the PRBush wheels or Kavans. If so, I would buy a pair of 6.25"
Did you weigh each wheel before putting them on?
Michael W. Backus great questions. I did not weigh each before putting them on. I would say that weight though would be per set. They are not super heavy. I have ZERO air pressure in these and they support a 26lb model with a small amount of flex. On landing they cushion some. I am assuming typical 8inch wheels are meant on planes weighing a lot more thus the ability to put air in them. Overall I don’t think you can go wrong here. Esp for the price, the quality with the hubs and bearings is outstanding.
Excelente avión. Que marca es el avión y que helice usa, Gracias
Hanger 9 XCub from www.HorizonHobby.com
hey whats size prob are you running
I have a few questions, can this pane be run with an electric engine or is it to big for that? I'm starting my flight training with a elite Cub S2 in RTF option. I plan on getting the 2.1m Caarbon Cub once I get to be a better flyer and finally I'd love to find myself flying this but in an electric version. Can I ask what this kit cost? and who you bought it from? Maybe you can provide a link?? Thanks Bill your newest subscriber!
Bill, thanks for watching and subbing. Feel free to also check out my Instagram.
Here is the link. www.horizonhobby.com/product/cubcrafters-xcub-60cc-arf-116/HAN5260.html
They run 999.99. You can def go electric.
hey brendan what batterys u runnin in cub reciever and ignition what
voltages
Brenden McCormick awsoem thanks a lot I was wondering y that receiver has to battery connection
Well of course it's going to balloon up when you're almost full throttle 😂 Slow her down
Can you please tell me the Wing Span on this XCub?
116”
@@JustPlaneCrazy Thank you for the response..Wow,,that is big..i was debating this or a used 12FT Telemaster my friend is selling ..i didn't know which was more bigger...
rhampton1914 i have another Xcub vid I made yesterday. It will get posted soon. Hope you subscribed and hit that bell and selected all so when it comes out you’ll see it.
what are those tires?
Flying Clint tires Are called bush wheels or Tundra tires. All links for the items I used are in the description of this vid. Thanks for checking it out.
Cub Crafters makes the full scale not Piper so its not a Piper,
420°F temperature?
Temp sensor that is not compatible with
@@JustPlaneCrazy aw ok. I’m running Spektrum telemetry on the same engine on my Seagull Nemesis and I’ve been getting 300°-330° during wide open throttle. I opened up the cowling exit more and baffled the cylinders better hoping for improvement. You’re the only person I’ve found with this engine that has had temperature for reference.
@IllFlyIt I would try and get that down near 220-200.
Mute that transmitter voice! That would drive me nuts.
😅😂
Ditto
You should NEVER maiden any model using flaps. Not required on any model, and just asking for trouble with a untrimmed/unflown airframe!!!
Thank you for your strong opinion, Ken.
she is a bouncer
I found by changing the prop to a 22x10 it kept the airspeed up a bit for landing. The extra air moving over the wing made a difference. Thanks for watching
Does not seem like you have been a pilot very long slow down on approach full flaps nose up throttle back and you can land that plane on a dime
Well, I guess I am new. 25 years to some can be considered that. A 26lb 10ft wingspan plane on the second flight that was just released could be a bit of a challenge to master. I fly many things, some better than others. Still to this day tweaking the setup on this plane. Thanks for watching. I always enjoy feedback😜🤪😜🤪😊
@@JustPlaneCrazy Lol
He’s. Definitely not a natural. He must me a new rc pilot.
