My man has 5 daughters, and two are still home. He makes sure insurance, support, schooling, sports needs - everything is done. If he splits cost with ex, that's all him. Our door is open to the girls anytime. As retirees on a fixed income we don't have alot extra yet we give alot of love!

@@silentmessiah1first time wasn't for owing child support, just his excuse for why arrears built up. Plaintiff has to actively chase up the support in family court for him to get his licence revoked and then arrested I believe

I also give her a ton of credit, but she really needs to stand up for that back support!
She understands how important a father's role is to a daughter. Since he apparently doesn't, she's trying to hold on to at least the bate minimum for her daughter's sake. She probably doesn't speak ill of him to her either. In time, the daughter will grow up and understand exactly the quality of both parent's actions.

I agree. Especially about not talking bad about him. I have a situation in my family with a nephew and his ex. She’s on such a path to self destruction and now she’s pulled their 14 year old daughter into the mix. She bad mouths my nephew all the time, meanwhile, her arrest record is as long as my arm - mostly DUIs, speeding, no seatbelt and possession. The cops in the area hawk her all the time because she’s such an easy arrest.
She a better woman than me that’s for sure! She’s amazing and kind and he knows that and takes advantage. Glad Judge Judy letting his raggedy ass have it in front of his new wife and on national television.

Back child support will never go away until it is paid, my EX finally had his tax returns garnish, mind you our child was already 25. However is still owed me this. Me and my current husband had been supporting him since he was 5. My EX and his current wife were not happy that the state took his federal return over 10 grand, and kept taking it until he was paid up. My son NEVER went without we did but never our child.

I know in some states if your behind of child support payments you lose your DL's , income tax refund . I really hope JJ helps this lady and her daughter out . He should be working 2 jobs at least and take public bus sub way or train or ride a bike or walk to work . There are allot of jobs open even if it is mowing yards collecting cans etc ....
