some friends and i biked there when there wasn't an event or anything and somehow ended up at the top and had to run away from angry cows and try not to fall in holes. we also almost lost our bikes in some random farmer's field who spoke lots of Irish at us. what a time. it's on a super secluded part of the Inis Mór and is hard to find, and has minimal roads.

+Melissa x The same way you can spin a office chair without touching the ground, start with some momentum and use moment of inertia to change rotation speed and direction.

Molo mono But you can't spin it that good without moving a lot, and I don't see them do that.

Melissa x They start the motion with a set amount of rotational energy, by playing with weight distribution and inertia they can rotate around however they like. When they return to their starting position all that's left was the rotation they started the jump with. Which is right before they hit the water.
That's why one arm goes up and the other goes down to rotate and why they pull their legs or/and arms in to rotate faster.
