Hey everyone, back for round 2 of the hit game show "What Anomalies Did Mark Miss This Time?". Here are the timestamps and descriptions of everything that was altered that Mark did *not* catch: 2:56 - There is now a bottle in the trash bin 3:27 - There is a propane tank in the back of the hallway. It's hard to see, but Mark helpfully zooms in on it (and ignores it) at 4:07 5:14 - TV/Monitor Anomaly, as the monitor now has extra stuff on it 8:51 - I felt bad for Mark on this one. He is absolutely correct that the face was not there before. It's a TV/Monitor Anomaly, but points for effort 9:43 - Graffiti has appeared on the back wall of the train (classification: Other) 10:43 - A Light Anomaly on the middle turnstile 20:36 - The bottles on the left middle shelf have moved apart. You can see their movement at 20:19 at the very top. 31:10 - On the top left, one of the pictures has changed to a rather unpleasant face. Bonus Guess: 19:29 - Mark is agonizing about "missing something". How about some pineapples from the Produce section? Mark blindly guesses their disappearance at 21:45 I can't guarantee that there weren't anomalies that Mark either never showed on screen or that were covered up by his facecam. Also on the off chance that Mark ever reads this: anomalies don't generally appear until 15 minutes into your shift, and you typically get one about every 15 minutes, so use that first bit of time to memorize things.

But the thing is, they have one guy for every anomaly type, so if you select the wrong anomaly type, then the specialist just says "Not my problem." and leaves again.
I love the idea of whoever fixes the anomalies walking into the room and going "Well, there's a door loudly opening and closing on its own, but technically he filed 'Object Movement' and this doesn't count as an anomaly of that type. No anomalies here :)"

@@dantees5734 Yes, if you look at them too long or don't click to the next camera before reporting them some can kill you quite fast, especially if you are waiting for a previous report to complete.

For one thing that you didn't know, mark isn't dumb because he act but because he is and he also has ADHD which gave him hard time to focus or remember.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, because that was a distortion but at the end it combined an intruder so idk??? but i think itd count as distortion because he marked it as camera malfunction first and then it was already too late , if he'd have marked distortion at first he wouldn't have lost the game i think
@@aiden3696 (late reply) A number of anomalies CAN kill you, which is why they have to be fixed right away. If you linger in a Distortion or Intruder anomaly too long, it will end the game. So, if you find an Abyss Presence, Distortion, or Intruder anomaly: report then go to the next camera. In the first video, Mark did not report the distortion right away, and stayed in the camera's view too long, as a result the game ended. The person at the end was an "It's over" mark: meaning you lost. It's not an intruder report, just the game saying you lost.
oh my god, I literally shouted TURN UP THE BRIGHTNESS when I _saw the title of the game in the thumbnail._ I KNEW this would be coming. Good to see it wasn't just me.

Anomalies start appearing after 20 seconds. They can be obvious but also super subtle. There is a penalty for wrong reports, it spawns more anomalies. Four anomalies are too many and you get the warning message when you have three anomalies active. You only get the warning once. Some anomalies, usually certain intruders and distortion can kill you so be careful. Hope this helps :)
I don’t think there’s a penalty to guessing wrong because if there was, mark would’ve died a lot already. The only “penalty” would be not being able to report an intruder in time, especially if you stay on the camera
@@void_iv There is. A streamer who adores the games tested to see if there was a penalty and found out that it spawns more anomalies. It's not a huge penalty but it does happen. It's not super-fast or causes a ton of anomalies to spawn. I guess the correct way to describe it would be that it makes anomalies spawn faster. I apologize or any confusion as I worded it wrong.
I like to imagine that for things like the fan turning off in the market break room, whoever fixing these anomalies just goes inside the building and turns the fan back on
Whenever me and my friends play Observation duty we always joke about how the anomalies get fixed. We joke about how a swat team barge in and aggressively fix whatever’s wrong. Like how one time there was something wrong with a door, we joked for five minutes straight about how the swat team barged in, shot the door, dragged it away and replaced it all within the span of a few seconds. Also I didn’t know whoever made this was/ knew Swedish. That’s cool af.
Someone said this in the last playthrough, but everytime Mark fixes the anomaly, I also picture a bunch of buff dudes charging in there, beating up the ghost, and then leaving.
The train announcer was speaking in Swedish announcing real stations and speaking exactly in the way the pre-recorded voice announces it irl! That was exciting to hear as a Swede :D
In case y'all are searching for jumpscare times, there aren't any huge ones. I've listed the moments that are/could be startling, but they're all minor to medium at best. Also, keep an eye on the clock, it makes a "gong" sound on the hour. 3:37 Multiple anomalies warning 6:30 Game over 10:11 Multiple anomalies warning 11:11 Game over 18:29 Fridge door slamming 20:20 Multiple anomalies warning 25:03 Intruder 25:52 Intruder (This one's the worst) 30:23 Intruder 33:25 Mark That's it!

Markiplier finally realising what the abyss is gives me such major relief from a stress I had long forgotten. The amount of times in these observation duty videos that he skimmed the meaning of it...
I love the observation duty series, here are some quick tips from someone that spent way to much time on them 😅 1. There are 3 anomalies every hour 2. Try not to let the warning message proc until the 5ish hour, it Is technically a save since getting 3 active anomalies is a game over, but if you have that message you can get away with 5 but not for long so its a hail mary saving grace 3. The longer the night goes the funnier and crazier shit happens
if there were only three anomalies every hour, you would only ever see a maximum of 18 anomalies. but most successful nights put you somewhere over 25 anomalies fixed. the most i've seen is 30, even with zero incorrect reports. i'm unsure about the warning "saving" you, also unsure about three active anomalies killing you. when i tested IoOD4 it seemed like leaving one anomaly active for too long would cause a fail, rather than multiple stacking up although i'm sure multiple active anomalies will end a run faster. my guess is that it works like a meter, where an active anomaly causes it to fill slowly. multiple make it fill faster, once it is full you fail, and clearing anomalies takes a chunk out of the meter. it might even empty if there are no active anomalies.

That thing's a monitor??? I think Mark thought it a poster of some sort looked like one to me too. (To be fair we don't have subways where I'm from. So I've never seen such a place.)
@@nyohohoo the guy in suit if i'm not mistaken is called as "Timothy". He is the main enemy who causes all of these anomalies across all observation duty games. Weirdly, he also Made this bureau to fix the anomalies. So he is your boss and your enemy at the same time. He has been dead alive dead alive multiple times, and killed many of these camera operators probably. Every game has secret & easter eggs around him.
For the people who are confused, Mark isn’t playing I’m on Observation Duty 2. This is the second video he’s making about I’m on Observation Duty, it’s not the title of the game it’s the amount of videos made playing this series of games. Hope this helps!
I loved when mark played observation duty 4, and it was so satisfying to see him train at one level and get to know it really well. complete turn around with just randomly crushing it at the supermarket level, king! hope he tries out some more maps on 5 :)
I REALLY think Mark should _MAYBE_ play; *_"I'm on Observation Duty 3"_* since in that one, *you get to walk around the area* instead of using cameras & it could possibly be scarier or more immersive as well.
Isn’t that the one that people didn’t enjoy as much? I think it may be rated lower than the rest, plus if I remember correctly if that‘s the one where you have to take pictures of anomalies it was kind of nauseating to watch 😅 I’d vote for #2 personally, because that one’s in color which may make the changes easier to spot and has weirder anomalies
The anomalies in 3 are repetitive. John Wolfe got the walking shoes I think, 2-3 times in one playthrough. Plus it’s boring. Mark should avoid it and play the more traditional ones.

I don't know how Mark keeps doing this but his mind needs to be studied. The Market is LITERALLY the HARDEST map on this game and out of the ones he tried he did it in one. Like....HOW?!

Something that's really excellent about this game is the sense of paranoia it gives you. It can make you freak out over a bottle of shampoo rattling or a door opening, it's insane. You freak out at nothing because you're convinced everything, even the smallest things have changed when in reality the game is just playing tricks on your mind, but then you get an intruder right in your face when you've been looking so closely for small discrepancies. It's just so well done.
Mark, this is why i love you, you bring me everything i felt watching you as a kid, i also remember watching your "i am on observation duty 4" when i had online classes, it was fun.

mark please pay more attention to auditory anomalies you missed like 4, the fan going in the school, a woman laughing in the subway, audio distortion where the escalators where, and whispering in isle 2 roughly at 22:25

i firmly believe that mark just has heightened observation skills when it comes to supermarkets bc no way did he go from 2 rounds finding one and two anomalies respectively to 25 anomalies
I had this playing in the background while doing other things, and hearing Mark yell "THE ZUCCHINIS" with basically no visual context is an amazing experience
When it says multiple anomalies active it means there’s currently 3 active anomalies. When you go to 4 , you lose. Abyss is like a void, often appears in a hallway and slowly creeps toward the camera. Distortion is what happened in the hallway last time when the camera stretched until you lost the game. And FYI some intruders will jump scare you when you report them.
26:00 I had to hold myself back because my immediate reaction was to punch my screen as hard as humanly possible. I was legit inches away from having to buy a whole new monitor.
I like to think that when the camera goes fuzzy saying fixing anomaly. It's just someone running in real quick. Closing a door, taking an object that isn't supposed to be there and the like.
Someone needs to make a game where you are fixing the anomalies that are sent to you, or a multiplayer version where one person searches for the anomalies and the other person fixes the anomalies that the other player sends.
I can't believe they made spot the difference this intense.

I love when Mark plays a game where it's like a little job. He takes the little job so serious
I love the observation duty series, here are some quick tips from someone that spent way to much time on them 😅
1. There are 3 anomalies every hour
2. Try not to let the warning message proc until the 5ish hour, it
Is technically a save since getting 3 active anomalies is a game over, but if you have that message you can get away with 5 but not for long so its a hail mary saving grace
3. The longer the night goes the funnier and crazier shit happens
if there were only three anomalies every hour, you would only ever see a maximum of 18 anomalies. but most successful nights put you somewhere over 25 anomalies fixed. the most i've seen is 30, even with zero incorrect reports.
i'm unsure about the warning "saving" you, also unsure about three active anomalies killing you. when i tested IoOD4 it seemed like leaving one anomaly active for too long would cause a fail, rather than multiple stacking up although i'm sure multiple active anomalies will end a run faster. my guess is that it works like a meter, where an active anomaly causes it to fill slowly. multiple make it fill faster, once it is full you fail, and clearing anomalies takes a chunk out of the meter. it might even empty if there are no active anomalies.

So he is your boss and your enemy at the same time. He has been dead alive dead alive multiple times, and killed many of these camera operators probably.

The anomalies in 3 are repetitive. John Wolfe got the walking shoes I think, 2-3 times in one playthrough. Plus it’s boring. Mark should avoid it and play the more traditional ones.

Something that's really excellent about this game is the sense of paranoia it gives you. It can make you freak out over a bottle of shampoo rattling or a door opening, it's insane. You freak out at nothing because you're convinced everything, even the smallest things have changed when in reality the game is just playing tricks on your mind, but then you get an intruder right in your face when you've been looking so closely for small discrepancies. It's just so well done.
Almost nothing happens in the game. This was SUPER BORING.

I had this playing in the background while doing other things, and hearing Mark yell "THE ZUCCHINIS" with basically no visual context is an amazing experience
When it says multiple anomalies active it means there’s currently 3 active anomalies. When you go to 4 , you lose.
Abyss is like a void, often appears in a hallway and slowly creeps toward the camera.
Distortion is what happened in the hallway last time when the camera stretched until you lost the game.
And FYI some intruders will jump scare you when you report them.
I would love to see more of these types of games! They’re so fun to play along with

Someone needs to make a game where you are fixing the anomalies that are sent to you, or a multiplayer version where one person searches for the anomalies and the other person fixes the anomalies that the other player sends.
