  • Part 29 in Pastor David Guzik's in-depth study of the book of Genesis, expositing through all of chapter 25: The midway chapter-point in Genesis. This chapter records the passing of Abraham and the birth of Isaac's sons. What follows is the story of two sons and one birthright between them. Pastor David concludes by highlighting some of the many ways that this chapter speaks to (or contrasts) with the personage and mission of Christ Jesus.

    Oh pastor do these end with genesis. Oh please do the whole old testament, school doesn't have time to teach us like this. It's so sad.

    Thankyou so much for this great content! I want to do a bible study in depth! I listen to your teachings on pace 1.75 and I am reading the enduring word page at the same time! Your teachings in combination with the bible project give me a deeper understanding of the Bible and the cultural backgrounds, interesting facts and I can see the people behind the bible characters. And many more things! I think in the pace I study the bible, it will take me like 3 or 4 years. But I am excited for the years to come to grow in God´s word! Thankyou so much pastor David for all the research, work, great insights and clear sharing! Greetings from the Netherlands!

    Could it be that when GOD refers to Loving Jacob and hating Esau ,it is not about these 2 individuals but the nations that came from them as Edom always stood in opposition to Israel [Jacob ]

    When my friends and I would play backyard football, we would use the term “ankle biter”, as a “dirty” way to get a tackle in because we would constantly aim for the legs.

    I realize it says that's Abraham was buried by Isaac and Ishmael. If Ishmael is Haagar's son I think it's remarkable that Ishmael returned from where he was to bury his father.

      Yes, well said! This is indeed quite remarkable. What a testament to Abraham's status as a father and patriarch.

    Also, is this the 1st mention of twins in the bible ?

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  Před 28 dny +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes, I believe so - there is no prior mention of individuals in Genesis who were known to be twins. Some speculate that Cain and Abel could have been twins, but the text does not clearly state this.

    It’s the other way around…
    Jacob, with his agreement with Esau; Jacob abandoned his Spirituality and passed it on to his Brother Esau.
    God isn’t stupid and see’s everything.
    Jacob’s greed saw his Spirituality and Psychic ability’s - vanish, and his Brothers, if anything - grow stronger.
    Thus, those Ancient people who walk our Forests - the Children of Esau - otherwise known as Big Foot or other names…
    They - are the Spiritual and Energy Giants, that time forgot - Why? Because Greed became the focus of Jacobs Line, and that is where Greed embraced it’s totality and cast aside the memory of Esau’s Bloodline.
    Look at our Society today…..it’s a sewer system, including corrupt Priests, Churches and other Religions across the World.
    Look at Big Foot - the Energy Beings that can do things we hairless ones cannot…
    Who really got the better deal?

    The promise to Abraham was much more than land. It was the messiah. Sara birthing Isaac was a miracle of God. Land? Get real!

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  Před 6 měsíci

      Amen! It was a promise for the land, and the lineage and progeny that would bring forth the Messiah.
