Roadhog and zarya seems to be the meta in open queue in a 3 tank 2 support format. Both of them hard counter the most tanks. The third tank can be a flex like rein mauga or ram for support.
I know man, don't worry, there's a ton of us advocating for 6v6, we are tired of the way things are when things could be so much better. State of the world, forced to have to put up with lower less quality service and subpar games/ movies all across the board.
This is further proof that 6v6 is superior it’s so much more fun as a tank main having another tank by my side it’s why I mainly only play open q we go like 2-3 tanks and supports it’s the most fun you can have as a tank main
I miss 6 v 6 too. And it's a shame we don't get to see it with the new tanks! For those that appreciate statistics/numbers. 8 Tanks in OW1 meant you had a combination range of only 26 different tanks you could pair. With only 4 more tanks, making 12, that number is 136!!!! 136 potential combinations of tanks!! Issues like stale tank meta, queue times, etc all should be drastically reduced if not solved, the more tank heroes there are to play. Especially if tank and support heroes match DPS heroes in number one day.
I unironically just had a double tank moment yesterday where I copied Rien, charged in, baited him by making it seem like I wasn't going to pin him causing him to swing, cancelling the charge, and immediately punishing with a shatter that hit 4. Then my queen immediately followed with her ult. It's was so beautiful that even few of the enemies applauded it and wished for double tank back 😭. And I too wish the same.
@@AdhvaithSane I went in the direction of one of his teammates, and he already used pin. Seeing as Echo has significantly less health than an actual tank, he wanted to get a swing just as I passed him. But I stopped the charge midway just to slam, and I guess he didn't expect that. So maybe it's a reverse bait? I dunno tbh cause I don't play tank 💀
The best QOL change they could do for open queue would be to limit the number of any role to 2 max. Then you wouldnt have to deal with 3 dps on your team while the enemy team has 3 tanks. Allows for any iteration of 1-2-2 and i think that would be the best version of 5v5

Tbf Cyx is Masters here so they probably take Role Queue ranks into account if you don't play Open Queue a lot

Open queue feels like a taste of 6v6 to me. Honestly its way more fun and balanced than role queue there are still a ton of issues.
