First of all, Chuggaaconroy deserves all the props in the world for his content. Super cool to see you were inspired by him also. I gave up on playing the games before the DS era, but his Platinum LP was why I went back in. I've since gone back and enjoyed every game I missed out on. I actually played Black 2 before the first game and it was a really enjoyable playthrough. I didn't check into a lot of the extra features until Chugga showed us around the Battle Subway and PokeStar Studios. Heck, even Join Avenue. But I enjoyed the story and the twists with how the box legendary came into use. Between that and the Ultra games, I can't help but believe that Pokémon does a really good job with sequel games. Which can't be said about many other franchises
Playing Gen 5 to me is like an experience of a shy girl dating a "nice guy". He's ugly, you don't like him, but he offers drinks, food, best entertainment, brings expensive presents, and you kinda a gree he's what most girls deam of, but you kinda wanna just go to the bathroom and never return.
What a coincidence, I'm currently playing through black 2 and I'm enjoying this game a lot! Such a shame that gamefreak won't make another amazing pokemon game like black 2 or any of the gen 4 games
What a coincidence, I'm currently doing another playthrough of White 2. It's been years since I played through the Gen 5 games. And I recently finished playing through White again. I love this generation so much. I just hope they get honorable remakes instead of giving them the BDSP treatment. I'm not that big of a Diamond and Pearl fan (they seem dull, especially after Platinum), but they were done dirty with those soulless remakes.
I agree I consider Pokémon Heartgold and Soulsilver, Platinum, Black and White, Black 2 and White 2 to be the peak of Pokémon. The only thing I wish is that Hilbert and Hilda were included Black 2 and White 2 where they help against the battle of Team Plasma. I wish Pokemon would do more sequel games. I would like to see another Kanto sequel game where it takes place 20 years after Red, Blue, Yellow, Firered and Leafgreen and the Gym Leaders, Elite Four and Champion have all changed and Kanto has new Pokémon and there being a Neo Team Rocket and a new legendary Pokémon Mewthree. The playable characters could be next generation trainers of Pallet Town and the rival can be Red’s son. I would also like to see a sequel to Black 2 and White 2 where it takes place 10 years after B2W2 and Bianca is the new professor with Juniper having retired and a new Team Plasma being revived and focusing on the Original Dragon of Unova. Hilbert, Hilda, Nate and Rosa can all come back in Black 3 and White 3 and help against the battle of the new Team Plasma and you could battle them as a NPC like Red.
This video makes me very happy. I still have my Pokemon Black 2 copy. I remember I begged my parents to buy it for me back in 2012 when the game came out. I played it so much. I even evolved my Oshawott into a Dewott on the first day I got it. Good memories 😌
This game is literally what every other pokemon game should be. A great game with a large amount of content that you play for hours, a wide range of pokemon you can choose from and can play through it multiple times. 😊😊😊😊😊
@@ChadVigilante wrong. They always remake first pair games. They don't remake third versions so why would they remake sequels? Remakes are for new players anyway. Older fans are not the target audience
@@ChadVigilante once again, they only remake first pair games. Sequels will never be remade. That is not how that works. BW remakes would be towards newer players. Not older players of the franchise
this game was packed with content especially in the post-game. The PWT with all past region Gym Leaders & Champions made the game feel connected to other PkMn games. I loved the limited 3D scenery especially on the Royal Unova ship tour. Getting medals was like getting achievements back then. Not to mention at the time, when the dream world was still active. It definitely was peak pokemon next to Platinum, HGSS, and Emerald
After getting to face-off all of the gym leaders & E4 with improved teams in the postgame of HgSs, they went all out w the rematches in BW2 & really outdid themselves for not receiving them in BW. This feature alone is a very good argument why ppl are opted to call this the ultimate Pkmn game (so far).
I still couldn’t believe the fact they added a tournament feature where you can battle with past gym leaders and freaking champions. BW2 truly is one of Pokémon’s finest entries.
I started with red and blue in the 90s but when I think about it I probably replayed black and white and the sequels more than any other gen. Its def up there with 1 and 3 for me as far as time spent in it
They're definitely good games. Really good. I wonder how they're going to handle them when it comes time to revisit? Faith for Black & white? Recreate B&W2? Maybe a legends? Or an open world revamp with a new story and characters? 🎉
Honestly, I would prefer a sequel over a remake, but instead of it being BW3, it should be called Pokemon Grey. It needs to continue the loose plot threads of the previous games, such as the return of the original BW protagonists and the Unovan citizens finally recognizing the Pokeball as a tool of oppression. It would also be cool to see them finally reject the use of Pokeballs, see where N and the Shadow Triad truly came from, possibly even a return of Ghetsis and Colress, and the reveal of the original dragon. Another thing they could incorporate would be the remnants of Neo Plasma and Team Rocket battling each other for control of Unova like in the anime.
Starters, story, available Pokémon, things are difficult, Pokémon like Riolu are just flooded everywhere. You actually have to grind. Just all around the best games we’ve ever gotten from Pokemon.
Gen 5 will always be my favourite to where I still play it to this day. For me it feels like a game made with care and love for the player. There are so many things in the game, additional details, polish. Random things like music changing slighly while jogging. The ferris wheel trades, challenge mode etc. The end game, the White tree/ Black City, PWT, the random powerful trainers like the Iron Maid, the 5% encounters, the music (Neo team plasma & chad Colress theme), the animated sprites and the story. Etc The feels like GF put their all into it. Like they had perfected the hand held Pokémon game. From the story to the end game to the post end game. I miss it and what I brought to the franchise.
So true, I'm now 18 years old (born in 2005). I grew up not with Pokemon Omega or Pokemon Diamond but I introduced to the Pokemon world by my cousin which also the same age as me with Pokemon Black. The memories still lingering when I travelled Unova with my dear Oshawott, my first started Pokemon ever. My cousin stop playing Pokemon for a while because he didn't like them so much until years later with the introduction to Pokemon Unite. I played the game as well. Back when I played Pokemon Black until it's finish, I thought the game was over until I discovered that Pokemon Black 2 exist. I overjoyed and found a way to play the game. After finish everything in the game, I always restart it and play it all over again, playing with different starters and Pokemon. That's why my fav gen/region until now is Gen 5/ Unova region despite all the bad stuffs thrown by people. I still love them. I barely remember my first pokemon team that were Samurott, Unfezant, Krookodile & Scolipede. Then the fifth Pokemon was between Jellicent/Chandelure because I forgot about it already. Now, I really miss playing Pokemon games and I can't afford buying Nintendo Switch. So, to cure the Pokemon fever I play Pokemon Unite and my aces are Decidueye and Chandelure. That's is my story in travelling the world of Pokemon, thanks!
I’m currently nuzlocking Pokémon white 2 and it is an absolute blast. I appreciate these games much more than I did before. I personally think that emerald is the best game in the series but bw2 is definitely up there.
HGSS/ORAS/Platinum are my favorites games. With that said, B2W2 are on another level. White Treehallow/Black Tower is another post game battle area that makes B2W2 one of the best games. And you get a FREE shiny pseudo-legend as a reward!
That Chugga LP has done such a good job of highlighting all of the variety of different things that there are to do in BW2. I love how much content there is in that game. Just in terms of stuff to do, Pokemon hasn’t reached these levels sincs

I bought this game when I was on the lamb. It kept me entertained and I still have that save data from 2015. I won't delete it but may bring up more Gen 5 mons to Scarlet and Violet if they become available in the DLC.
Pokémon White was the first game that introduced the games to me (16) and my brother (20)! I will always have a soft spot in our hearts as the best Pokémon games.
I've been wanting to play B&W since getting back into Pokemon but the ridiculous price gouging on both the games and a 3DS to play them leaves me cold.
They're the best games because they even had an animated trailer, fully voiced and dubbed, that was on par if not better than the Pokemon tv show which just further shows how much effort they put into these games. You just don't see that level of effort for the vast majority of video game releases these days especially from GameFreak.
I really hope Black and White get remakes because I've never played them before. I've also never played X &Y or Sun & Moon which I hope they get remakes too.
Black and White are most likely getting remakes as they’ve been teased a lot. As for Black and White 2, goodbye to an amazing game. All there is to do is hope Black and White remakes dont end up like Brilliant Diamond and Shining pearl which had nothing new just chibi 3D animations unlike oras which had megas
They're right Pokémon Black 2 was my VERY FIRST Pokémon game and I agree with a lot of these sentiments. It's got a great story, nice gameplay balance, tons of interesting characters, a truckload of content, amazing 2-D sprite work, etc. There cannot & will not be another Pokémon game like these two.

Nuzlocker here, and I can say right off the bat that these games are just too good, I don’t know how anyone could hate these games..And the fact that BW2 is arguably the hardest games to Nuzlocke in makes it all the more enjoyable to play through to give anyone a good challenge
Black 2 & White 2 are quite possibly the nearest perfection of an Pokemon game that we've gotten. It did so many things right that later gens couldn't accomplish in and even though previous gens does some things to achieve & have alot of fond memories with, even those felt dated that BW2 would improved on. The variety of Pokemon, an more interesting worlds, the right amount of progression & exploration and overall better pacing, the gameplay, the challenge settings, better content, the animation, the music, etc. No Pokemon games to this day comes close on rivaling or on par with BW2 to this day. I hope one day it will. But as of right now and IMO, BW2 is the best Pokemon game we've gotten.
While White 2 wasn’t my first Pokémon game, it was the first one I ever beat with my level 84 Emboar and nothing else 😂. I loved the game so much. It was a lot of fun. I remember finding The Team Plasma ship in the post game and going crazy. Then the Colress fight, plus another Master Ball. Incredible. Plus I think B2W2 are the only games where can legit get unlimited Master Balls through Joint Avenue. Raffle, 1% chance to win a master ball, but still a 1% chance.
The best part of Black 2 and White 2 is the World Tournament. I just wish they included the Elite 4. And Mega Evolution but I know that wasn't invented at the time.
Ive been playing since Blue but this gen out of all of them im not familiar with. I got my first 3DS, a Pokemon Edition and a copy of Black when I was in Afghanistan but I wasnt able to truly experience the game, didnt even get remotely close to the elite 4. Fast foward to now after searching for a long time I finally found Black 2 just recently and cant wait to dive back in. I thought I finally found all of the pokemon games I ever liked(took a looong time getting my collection back on their original systems I tell you that) and after this video I feel Ive got to find and play Black all over again to fully appreciate this game.
Of course the "best games" just had to be the ones I skipped. I was preoccupied with school and didn't realize they had released. I'd buy a used copy, but the prices are absurd.
I am currently in possession of the White 2 version! I’m actually planning to reset my original data and try the Challenge Mode. I know it could be hard, but I’m just hoping to do it for the sake of taking on Grimsley’s final rematch team, as they all change to males; his Pokémon team entirely consists of females, which really doesn’t totally fit him.
The challenge mode for gen 5 games is a mixed bag for me as it gave a new challenge for the players since enemies will have items equiped and have competitive IVs. Though this comes with some flaws, when playing with level caps it might give you some unforseen advantages example challenge mode Elisa level cap is 32 i think, if you have a drillbur on challenge mode it will evolve into an excadrill before the level cap and it can badly wall elisa's team in which only the zebstrika with flame charge can do significant damage to it. Also the stats dont scale to the increased level of pokemon. FlygonHG a youtuber who does nuzlocke videos asked and tested it on one of his videos. In his mono steel run on a gen5 challenge mode game his lucario based on his stats and stats of Iris' drudiggon should have no rolls (0 out of 16 possible damage rolls) to ohko it even with crit but it did so. So he did some tests using fixed damage moves and learned that the level only increases but not the stats.
I think the gen 6 and especially gen 7 games deserve more credit, but I do really like the gen 5 games. I personally think Pokemon has 2 peaks, it peaked in gen 5, dipped down a little bit in gen 6, and peaked again in gen 7.
I spent sooooo much time at Join Avenue. I haven’t played BW2 in quite some time, but i Imagine that the online features for the game aren’t active anymore
I plan to buying this game for my 2ds even for absurd price because its worth it when i was younger i was playing 5 gen only on emulator and white 2 just absorbed me for hours in my opinion this is the most complex game and this clip only proves it
I had a team for Black 2 Wakaba the Serperior Faraday the Magnezone Magnum the Magmortar Boxers the Scrafty Epigene the Flygon Voyage the Lapras (You could probably make a video on this team like that one FRLG team a viewer had.)
I personally went with Samurott, Ampharos, Arcanine, Lucario, Flygon, and a random sixth throughout my B2W2 playthroughs. Floccesy Ranch was an absolute gem of a place. Level 25 Trapinch is a must for Elesa since he can sweep her team.

I played It for years without getting bored. Now i play a new Pokemon game and put It Down in about two months
I wish route 10 was still there, it's music is my favourite, fortunately you can still hear it from an npc in icirrus city winter
they are less handholding as well and there's a lot more to discover even when you already have seen everything
Challenge mode is a feature I wish they had continued with in Pokemon games 😔
The best part of Black 2 and White 2 is the World Tournament. I just wish they included the Elite 4. And Mega Evolution but I know that wasn't invented at the time.
I just looked up "mysticumbreon black and white 2" and was shocked to find a video that just came out lol.
Emerald battle frontier has entered the chat
There's also a cool Spinda trade
Hey Mystic, do you think Mega evolutions will return for the Gen 6 remakes in a few years?
I’ve actually never owned B/W2 but I did borrow it to play it and I agree. These 2 and Platinum are the top games imo
I loved the strong and available pokemon, psyduck, marill, mareep, magneton, arcanine, magmar, electabuzz
Unova is my favorite region in pokemon and I can say playing B&W2 is an absolute fun in my opinion plus I like dragons and unova has just that
I would even say Pokémon Emerald and Platinum are great Pokémon games that were set in the Japan-based regions.
I plan to buying this game for my 2ds even for absurd price because its worth it when i was younger i was playing 5 gen only on emulator and white 2 just absorbed me for hours in my opinion this is the most complex game and this clip only proves it
My team for this game was Samurott, Magnezone, Zoroark, Lucarrio, Sawsbuck and Flygon. One of my favorite teams.
Great team! I had the same aside from saws where i had mamoswine
I never hear people talk about the memory link in black and white 2 to get flashbacks from black and white 1
This makes me wish i had a copy of blacj or white 2. My first game was x and y so i missed out.
Amount of pokemon. Challenge mode, pwt, champion iris, white tree hollow.if get hidden abilites. Want to see come on switch with more mons.
Gen 5 are my most replayed games
Thank you for giving the credit that gen 5 deserves. Best gen by far!
my favorite pokemon games I was kid
And also the best post game... fighting all gym leaders and black tower. Woah..😮
Dont forget you could get heatran and rotom in those games
I've never played this Gen. Just so happens to be based on the states too
The greatest Pokemon game ever!!!
I think that Black and White 2 are the best Pokemon games.
Story and features of Silver and White/Black - To me those 2 are best all time Pkmn games.
I had a team for Black 2
Wakaba the Serperior
Faraday the Magnezone
Magnum the Magmortar
Boxers the Scrafty
Epigene the Flygon
Voyage the Lapras
(You could probably make a video on this team like that one FRLG team a viewer had.)
Soul Silver is my favorite.
Black 2 was my first ever pokemon game
Hey, Mystic! You wanna start updating your rankings on the Elite Fours, Champions, Villains, etc.?
Eventually! I want to wati till all the DLC drops first! Expect that type of content during the holiday season in November/December!
@@MysticUmbreon Well, maybe in the meantime, you could edit the Gigantamax Pokémon ranking video now that there is still the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC.
My favourite pokémon games too:)
Tbh the absolute peak
I love this game so much. ❤
Pokemon mystery dungeon is a roguelike dungeon crawler
I wish u got to fight the old protagonist through that data link thing
Cant wait to see black 3 i hope they do it justice or there will be hell to pay
Best one of them all imo💯
Hope to see Black/White 3
Fingers crossed
How did you guys miss the challenge mode? I wish that was available on modern Pokémon games
