I’ve come to enjoy the sound of your oscillating fan. 😴
Very soothing 😊
As you say, "Holy!" I'd best get mine out of their pot, root pruned and repotted. They are likely to take over my pool shed. I am so grateful for your repotting videos. I watch one and then go at that particular variety here in my garden. There is a request from the plants that you take about a 2 week break!😁 That's summa root system!
I’m looking for a bald cypress this year. The base of these trees is something special. Almost alien. Thanks for sharing Nigel.
Oh, the tangled roots we leave,
When first we practice to de-weave.
Wow that was some crazzy growth on the roots, it's a very interesting species. I'm already looking forward to next years repoting video !
The growth is something ! Thats a really cool species, im already looking forward to next years repot.
All the trees look awesome enjoy spring
Wow, those roots really greeeeeeeewwww! Great job!
I really love that old apple tree
Great video Nigel I’ll be following with keen eyes 👊
I love this time of year
Very nice looking tree! Can sure take a beating!
Outcome of root pruning is awesome
Amazingly inspirational, thank you!
My bald cypress is one of my favorite trees for all the reasons you’ve mentioned. I also have repotted mine every year since I acquired it as a cutting in 2019. Thanks, keep growing
I didnt repot my bald cypress last year, and i think it will be one of my last repots, possibly this weekend. Im so jealous of your greenhouse! My larch seedlings just started budding, dappled willows, honeysuckle as well... im about 2 -3 weeks behind you without the greenhouse and i cant wait for the greening of the trees!
my bald cypress is tall, and one of my favorite trees. the pot is in another container thats filled with water always. trimmed it up about 2 weeks ago, almost 36 inches now, twin trunk.
Brimming with potential!
What an improvement from last year!
Back then it was basically reduced to a cutting, and now we already have decent roots to work with. Great progress!
It's a cool species fro Bonsai. I'm recently trying to get my hands on some Dawn Redwood, but my propagation efforts were not fruitful yet..!
Yes, I'm really happy with the roots now, they did come a long way in just two years!!! I hope you find one!!
Wow, amazing root growth in just 1yr!
Looking Fab👍
Great trip back in time with this tree. Massive root pruning. This tree loves to grow roots for you. Spring around the corner and this tree will take off. Excellent specimen for you.
I’ll be experimenting with one of these in my fish tank. I’m going to be using it as the centre piece of an aquascape and have it growing out of the top. Hopefully the roots grow as rapidly!
🌴Oh man, Nigel, I have a bald cypress forest. I haven't repotted in a few years, and now I'm scared of what I will find.🌴
52F/11C this morning at 8:30am, Tuesday. How is the weather out in the North 40 by you, Nigel? Crazy weather for March.
Great job nigel. Can't believe how much roots have grown in just a year. I was going to work on a tree later but after watching this I'm panicking a bit because I put one of them in the ground few years ago to grow on but think after seeing how fast yours has grown I better dig mine out while I still can 😅
I place my potted bald cypress on the ground to let the roots escape through the drainage holes. Fantastic controlled growth. Good luck 👍🏻
Hi Mister Saunders. Are there by any chance videos about your specific soilmix?
👍🌳☺️
👍👌👌
Is your styling plan conical or flat top ?
can the bald cypress survive frost?
Foist
Wow can't wait for it to get bonsai pneumatophores at the base 😂
I have heard they are impossible to get on a bonsai? Some of the collected specimens have the knees!
@@TheBonsaiZone Ah that's kinda a shame, I'd love to see one in a swampy forest style bonsai pot with them rising out the soil lol
Secoind
Your trees do well because you tell them they will and voice your confidence in them to do so! “You will do fine. Okay little tree? ” That’s what you told it last year, and it did better than fine!!! The power of positive encouragement.
I wish that is all it takes, lol, I do have one tree coming up where the root work didn't work so well, my Cherry tree.
@@TheBonsaiZone Okay, 1 out 100. Not bad. 😊
