      Nah you just need to plug in the wire, make sure you search up what type of wire you need for your device and how long you need it

    I get over 800-900 Mbps on my ps5 on ethernet but when I plug mines into my Xbox series x I get over 500 almost 600 why is that? It’s not my internet because I pay for good WiFi

    It's weird that they went with wifi-5 on xbox series x. That limits wifi speeds even if you get good internet at home. Wired is the way to go.

    only works if your xbox doesnt have the very common broken ethernet ports. 2 in a row i bought brand new, both faulty. taking back to get another. piece of trash.

      @Charlie-xd1vj Před 4 měsíci +1

      Curious, how do you know if it’s broken? Mines all of a sudden just randomly stopped working and haven’t a clue why, it detects there’s a connection but says “Nat Type:getting info” and it doesn’t let me connect to online… very frustrating

    • @drtydawg73
      @drtydawg73 Před 4 měsíci

      @@Charlie-xd1vj its a known issue by microsoft. check the system update reports. it tells you there is an issue with people not being signs in on start up. looks like they are "trying" to fix it? i replaced my xboxes and on the 3rd one now. cant be bothered to take it back as it seems like its all of them. but it only seems to be a problem if you use ethernet cable, but wireless connects ok, just at lower speeds. many people having this same problem.

      @drtydawg73 i have this thing, where my internet just keeps connecting and disconnecting when i plug in the cable. No issues with wifi. But only with cable... and that same cable works fine on my pc... Could this be one off tho's broken ports?

    • @drtydawg73
      @drtydawg73 Před 2 měsíci

      @@463952 hiya, thats the problem i had as well. but i just recently changed internet provider and it hasnt happened since. so it might be something to do with the routers signal not compatible with the series x. i dont know, im still learning myself. although im now having a problem with this new internet where its restricting my MTU on the xbox to 1320, where as it should be 1480. ive just ordered a new router from asus. will see if that works. if you know someone with a different internet provider, maybe try asking them if you can test your xbox on theirs? i keep sending microsoft problem reports tho. install the report a problem app on the xbox and send them daily messages.
