  • This Technique Peek Video features Joanna Spivack, OTR/L, CHT, demonstrating how to create a static progressive PIP joint extension splint. This splint is incredibly effective at increasing PIPJ extension based on the principles of low load prolonged stretching. This splint allows the patient to gradually and progressively stretch their finger multiple times a day while outside of the clinic. It is easy to don/doff and does not require re-molding to achieve increasing levels of stretch.

Roylan Tailorsplint (any rigid material would work but perforated is helpful for making the slits for the strap).
