That's mostly an european thing to be honest. Portuguese, spanish, french families tend to say that, we tend to like to leave visitors as comfortable as possible. Even more than we ourselves are hahaha

"It's your home" is a middle eastern phrase for hospitality, meaning that the place is yours and always open for you to come whenever you want. And the video is so adorable and gave me positive energy, that I went out the next day and did the same all by my self😂❤
I was about to comment the same thing, we use that phrase a lot in Palestine
I think it means also "stay how much you want" because some restaurant with too much people give few minutes after you finished to ask the check, instead in Italy (where we use this phrase) many restaurants allow you to stay more time after you finished to chat, rest, etc...

There’s nothing like treating yourself in the name of self care and growth. I’ve always been scared to eat out in public on my own but when I finally got out of my comfort zone I absolutely loved it! Definitely a confidence booster 💛

In my culture, we say 'this is your house' in our language to imply 'be comfortable, it's your own house and you can do as you please'. This is probably what the Italian restaurant guy meant. Loved the video as always!

When he said this is your house, he probably meant that you should feel like you feel at home and be free to do whatever you like. It's a Greek/Italian expression we use quite often!

Something, actually everything, about this video made me so happy. I am kinda really struggling right now in university, I'm away from my family, having a tough time making friends, and finals season is going on rn. And I am someone who gets really scared to be seen alone. I get embarrassed sometimes eating alone in the dining hall or just going places alone, but when I let go of all of that I have lots of fun by myself. I was kinda going through it a lot today and this video put the biggest smile on my face. You probably won't read this but tysm for making my day Ashley.
