      Thanks Chris. I've been here many many times. Before I visited first time the travel operators had a brochure and intertestingly enough every single Hotel on International Drive that had complimentary Shuttle Buses to all the parks also had a sub headline saying "Car Essential" obviously meaning that you would definitely need a car at this particular hotel. My mind conflicted with why they also had free Shuttle buses to the parks? Then every other hotel shown in the same brochure on International Drive that didn't have free Transportation had a subtilte of "Car Not Essential" meaning you didn't need a car for these particular Hotels, in yet all of these actual Hotels had Shuttle Buses for a price that would take you to all the Parks? I figured that maybe, just maybe the free buses could have taken hours and hours stopping at every hotel on the way, hence why we really needed our own car, so we opted for the Car not essential. The prices back then were $10 round trip to Disney, $6 to Universal and $6 to Seaworld, and yes these Buses stopped at a few hotels on the way. The free Bus Hotels were exactly the same as the paying ones. The Innitial problem was that I hadn't ever been there before and therefore knew so very little. Once We arrived, from there on I was able to find out how the system worked and through trial and error found out about all the other transportation about, but only after I had travelled. The next Vacation/Holiday was so so much easier and cheaper. The Reps at the hotels used to sell you a package to Busch Gardens in Tampa which charged you of course the price of park entry and then $20 on top for BusTransfer which was actually not too bad considering it took about 1 hour and 20 mins. Then the second or third time we visited the resort, there was a sign at Seaworld which advertised a Shuttle bus/coach to Busch Gardens called "The Gwazi Bus" and instead of $20 they charged you only $10, I told the Hotel Rep and she seemed somewhat interested or shocked by what I said that she immediately spoke with another rep close by.
      Next time we travelled The Holiday Reps reduced the Shuttle fair from $8 to $10 depending who you travelled with, but however the new Busch Garden Buses became completely free and still are to this day, you just need to telephone at least 1 day in advance.
      I didn't know very much at the start and love to share as many tips as possible which I can tell you will definitely save you hundreds throughout your stay and keep your budget more managable. I just wish I could now find a way around the pound dropping against the dollar, I'm hopeful that it will rise again soon. Anyhow hope you have a great time and that I have helped a little. Regards. Geoff Dean.

    Thanks Geoff for this vlog, I am hopefully visiting Orlando solo, don’t want to drive!
    I’m staying at the Rosen Plaza, would I be able to get these buses you mentioned?
    As I don’t have too many days in Orlando, I’d love to visit Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. So that looks like I could do that with the Lynx buses?
    Best wishes

    • @geoffdeanthemeparks
      @geoffdeanthemeparks  Před 2 lety +1

      Absolutely.. From your Hotel outside will be a Lynx Stop and you'll need first a number 8 and that will take you to Seaworld, then you'll wait for a number 50 which will take you into Walt Disney World, from there all transportation is free and easy to use. It's extremely straight forward as that. Have a great time. Regards. Geoff

      @@geoffdeanthemeparks hello Geoff thanks for a great informative video. How long does the lynx bus take from international drive to Disney ticket and transportation center?
      Google maps is saying it's around 2-3 hours away via bus or 20mins via taxi.

    • @geoffdeanthemeparks
      @geoffdeanthemeparks  Před 2 lety +2

      @@georgej9875 Hi there. The Taxi time is about right, and the same if you are driving. A lot of hotels have a free shuttle bus to the parks which will most likely pick up and drop off to a couple of other hotels, they'll arrive at Disney anytime between 30 mins to 45, can sometimes be a maximum of about an hour depending on traffic. The lynx busses will depend on the time you catch the number 8 from international drive to seaworld and when the next link bus comes along to take you straight to the transportation center in Disney which could be from 30 mins if you catch them right. Otherwise somewhere up to an hour at maximum from start to finish, the time goes quick enough. Google maps sound very wrong as I've never in all the time arrived at the parks between 2 to 3 hours later. I've travelled there many many times and you'll have it off to a fine art within a few days, you'll see. Before I first visited international drive from the UK I knew nothing at all, only what the travel brochures would tell me and it looked really complicated to say yhe least, iwas so worried that it wouldn't all come together and that I may be disappointed. From the first day there we found the I ride which took us straight into seaward for a dollar in about 10 minutes and back to the hotel I the evening when we were ready. The same for the lynx buses, always unsure when you first use anything, so don't be afraid to ask the guest services in your hotel, or along the drive, or even the other person waiting for the bus themselves, they'll put your mind at rest and you'll find it's very straight forward, inexpensive and the travel time will not be excessive. Also you can book a free busch gardens shuttle bus on international al drive, again ask hotel or one of the many visitor info centers around. Busch gardens by the means shuttles takes roughly about an hour and a quarter. It's going to be OK. Have a great time and enjoy it. You certainly will have a great time. Regards. Geoff Dean

    Hi. Thanks for the detailed info. Heading to Orlando for the first time. Will.be staying near Orlando International Airport and need to get to Camping World Stadium for a soccer match. What's the best way to get there?

    • @geoffdeanthemeparks
      @geoffdeanthemeparks  Před rokem +1

      Hi Jesse. The cheapest way will be via one of the Lynx Shuttle Buses which will cost you $2.00 about 45 minutes or so. Taxi is quicker but will cost you around $35.00. I have a link here for you that may or may not be somewhat helpful, I hope it is and you can click on the relevant types of transportation for more details. Once you get to Orlando don't ever be afraid to ask someone for directions, you'll find they are more than accomodating. You'll find someone who will be able to direct you to the shuttle bus stop and from there you'll get a better idea of which bus to get on. But a Taxi sevice for around £35.00 will get you staright to the doorstep of where you need to be. I'm actually for England UK and have visited here many times. It all seemed daunting before I arrived as like anywhere I didn't know if it was going to be easy to travel about and visit all the theme parks, before the first day was out we'd pretty much got it covered. You'll be fine and you're going to have a great time. Best wishes and kind regards. Geoff Dean

    In reality, this transport is too deficient, he says that it will take an hour and it does not happen all for the purpose of car dependency Upps!
