- Let's finish this paver tee pad up by installing the border pavers. There's plenty of tips and tricks in this video. So if you are doing your own paver project, I'm sure you will learn a few things!
The main pavers and outer border pavers used on this job are made by (Genest) A company from Maine.
The main pavers are called (Grand Katahdin) with a color tone called (Meadow).
The outer border pavers are called (Katahdin) with a color tone called (Meadow).
The inner border pavers are made by (Nicolock).
They are called (Old Vienna) with a color tone called (Raven)

You guys are pro! I absolutely Love the End Job, "Bravo" great job.
Love your channel. It’s nice to learn from someone that actually knows what they’re doing. And you are very professional too.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you are learning from the videos. God Bless! ✌
Nice cut🎉
Good job!
Thanks!
Turned out awesome brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks brother!! It was a great way to wrap up the 2022 season. Thanks again for the consistent feedback, I really appreciate it! ✌🏻
Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure ✌
Very neat job lads. Well done. Looks great. Cheers
Thanks brother! Cheers! ✌
I see u using here knee pads, glases and mask for ur protection, well done now u are proffesional !!
Thanks for part3.
😂 Yes sir! I'm not getting any younger. The knee pads were a gift from my nephews, They have been excellent! ✌
Nice work. I normally use mortar as a border, but the concrete mix works good too
Thank you, I used mortar a couple times a long time ago. It doesn't seem to hold as strong, The crushed stone in the concrete holds better in the long run. The only thing holding the mortar is the sand in it. It can break apart pretty easily. But hey, it's still better than plastic edging.... 🤣✌
@@TheChristianHardscaper what if i whant to make something like this in grass, will it grow over the concrete edging? i want the grass to be right up against the pavers
@@MrDisgruntledGamer1 It is possible to use concrete and have grass grow. I recently made a video on how we normally do the concrete edging. This situation was different seeing as I did not have to worry about grass.

@@TheChristianHardscaper excellent video you've thought of it all, thx!
👌👌👌👌👌
Enjoy the video as we wrap up the tee pad build!

👍
Why would you do that mortar going to freeze and Crack, you put down rubber wrap you nail it in .the cement not going to last .first winter done.

I don't use open base so I don't know...but you don't compact top of pavers after sand?....Best,Steve
Yes, we do compact the pavers after sand. But we do a lot of setting the pavers with our hammers as we lay them to make sure they are very even. So concreting the edges before we sand is fine, the compacting is just going to settle the sand down and maybe the pavers a little bit. I like to sand at the same time as I concrete but that doesn't always work out. This install was done in December, so installing the poly was not possible. Just have to compact carefully around the edges when we go back to sand. ✌
I have a 6X6 grey and charcoal double boarder i need to cut to a 6Ft radius curved wall....do you have suggestions or a video, i looked and i have watched and learned a lot from your videos.thanks for taking the time to make them for us.
That is definitely a tight radius for cuts... You will probably have to cut every other border paver on both sides to make it work, depending on how tight it is...
Here is a fire pit border install I did with a tight radius 👉czcams.com/video/1Z09RARiWaM/video.html
How much space between pavers do you allow on the outside of curves before you start cutting pie pieces? I have to finish up around my pool in the spring and it is all curves. I went with 4x8 border blocks to try to minimize the gaps without having to do a bunch of cuts. Thanks, and as always, wonderful content.
To clarify, my 4x8 border is placed perpendicular, so rotated 90deg from what you guys did in this video.
I will go up to 3/4 of an inch, as long as they all match well. Polymeric sand is effective up to 1 inch. This is a debatable topic in the hardscape industry. Some feel like you did a bad job if the joints aren't 1/4 inch, I disagree. I try as hard as I can to not cut border pavers. Doing so takes away the nice beveled edges of the pavers and looks crappy in my opinion. Wider joints look fine as long as they are even throughout the curve. If it starts to open more than 3/4 - 1 inch, try to cut every other paver slightly to try and maintain the even joint. If you try to cut them tight, you will end up having to cut every single one. No good for time and no good for looks in my opinion.
Check out this video I made for cutting tight radius around a firepit and what I'm saying will make more sense... czcams.com/video/li6e0NZ34p0/video.html
What weight deadblow do you use for your pavers?
We use 5.5lb dead blows
Great finish. What type of pavers. Is that
I think he mentioned the brand of pavers in the last video
Thank you!

A lot of work, but to me, those curved edges dont look symetrical to each other. The black inserts make it more obvious.
Not quite sure what you are seeing but the curves are basically identical. ✌
@@TheChristianHardscaper Yes basically. they are not the same. If you laid a straightedge from the outer edge of each curved side, to the front corners, you will see the shape inbetween the straight edges and the stones arent exactly the same. They are slightly different. (based on the video stopped at 20:53) Basically, if you could fold that image over itself lengthwise, it wouldnt match up.
