Strangely, for me, fire spells tend to fizzle more than storm spells. It doesn't matter, though, because why pick fire or storm as secondary schools for your balance wizard?
SuckMy Toe I have a master death in Dragonspyre currently, and a life starting Marley. My first ever wiz is my max storm. I don't much like death so far, probably because I don't have its aoe. I've never tried balance, but it seems cool.
Joshua Bolt ice death and life are crappie in pve for awhile cuz of ice not getting a blade till lvl 38 and life not getting Ala enemy hot till lvl 58 and death not getting an all enemy hit till lvl 48
I will always have a place in my heart for death because it was my OG school, but the best school is balance. Good heals, good damage, good resist, good health, good pierce. they can be any role in a group and are normally wanted in groups.

i soloed the entire game on death with half way decent stats and it worked well. it just matters if you know how to choose the right cards at the right times in a fight.

As a Myth wizard, I'll admit that we are on the lower tier for everything PvE and PvP related just due to the fact that so much of our utility spells were either minions or minion support while other schools were getting things more viable. However if the minion mechanic will ever recieve a well thought out rework then Myth might be one of those schools to really look out for.
I mainly like myth because there are barely any of us. When I see a myth it is usually a low lvl. I also like myth since we can take shields and I love the animations for our cards. Having actual myths as cards is fun as well. I do agree that we have to many minion support and minion cards. It would be so much better if they gave us a smart minion as well as a healing spell for once.
Learn how to use your minions. They are fantastic spells. You'll always get more than your pips-worth out of them in battle. Also, you can use the 0 pip minion spell and then use another 0 pip spell to destroy him and get free HP's or pips out of them. But yeah, they went a bit overboard on how many minion cards you get. Two would have been plenty.
I think it would have been more beneficial if you recorded each school on your own wizard of that same school to show the advantages and disadvantages up close.
Oh nawwww as a Balance student it’s clear you haven’t been through the whole game, BEING a balance student. Balance is a good school and people tend to look down at balance without knowing what they are actually capable of.
I feel like Life is a lot more versatile than people think. I quest on my life with my friend's death, and she honestly took a bit of a backseat. I quested alone most of the time, and how I managed that was an intense amount of side quests! If you can level up your life as much as you can early on, it really puts you in league with the other schools. I also highly recommend crafting your gear, as it is easier to get damage that way. I tried balancing out my healing/damage/resist stats with the Wintertusk and Zafaria crafted gears, the Peerless eye wand, an Avalon dropped amulet that gives a blade, and a crafted ring and athame from Celestia. I think the biggest way to get around the damage problem with life is to have a lot of additional buffs. The Zafaria crafted hat gives a spirit blade card. The Wintertusk robes give a 25% (or 35%?) trap card, and the Amulet from avalon gives an additional life blade card. Also, my pet dragonfly gives a trap card as well! So thats two extra blades and two extra traps you can have. Yes this may take awhile to build up for all battles, but the beauty is that you can heal along the way! Thats just how I get around Life. I'm in Azteca right now, and I just trained Devotion (praise that update!) and I got up to feint shortly before that in Avalon. So currently, I can put four blades on myself, and five traps. The only thing I would have to say is that to get these stats you have to make sacrifices in other areas. So I would say that there is a way to get around Life so it isn't just limited as a healing class. I TOTALLY would not recommend Life as your first wizard. In my opinion it should be your second or third wizard, you really need to get to know the game first. Drops and crafting is ESSENTIAL. Crafting takes a lot of time too, and its a bit tricky sometimes with the crafting quests, especially for those starting out. I really do stand by crafted over crowns, though. Except for the wands.
Little salty bout death being as bad as fire but you got a point. Pvp is horrible unless you juju spam. But in pve I never have to refill pots or go into battles with less than full health. It definitely has the best survivability of all the schools
Death can only set then steal health but problem is everyone has shields if Ice can keep the shields to themselves or they nerfed shields it would be better
I started out with an ice as my first wizard and I would definitely recommend starting out with an ice. They're really good for PVP and also questing solo. I used blizzard all the time until I got frost giant then used that all the time until I got snowball barrage. I quest with my sister sometimes who was a life, and she would heal us while I hit. I agree with everything you said in the video and ice can hit hard if you use strategy and you have good gear.

@@AxeOverSword If you're looking to spend your training points I would do it on life and on death but only up to feint on death since you don't need their hit spells. I don't really have good gear honestly and I went through questing solo perfectly fine so I think you'll be good especially if you have friends with you. My main advice is to get a good gear and always do the extra spell quests with Lydia Greyrose.
My first and favorite wizard is a balance. It is really hard to solo with this element, but the great thing about it is that you can team up with pretty much anyone and like you said, it's easy to make friends. You can blade teammates, shield them, and trap enemies to name a few perks. Also, since you have a lot of variety in types of spells, like damage, healing and blading, I didn't find getting through quests very hard. You definitely don't one-hit or get through fights fast, due to the low damage (and lack of a lot of damage spells early on), but overall it is really fun. Once you get to a higher level, fights get easier, but with balance *teaming is very important.* To be honest, every other school I've tried is still fun, but for some reason balance was always the most fun. It's a very secure element, but wouldn't recommend if you are just trying to speed through the game. For beginners, highly recommended. Anyway, overall, there isn't a best school. All schools have ups and downs and it depends on how the player deals with all the concepts.

Ayy, my max fire has 155% damage, 29 pierce, 28% accuracy, 100% power pip, and 8% shadow pip. I still need a Penta damage pet and my damage mount of course. I'll get around 160% damage when I do get that heh.
MrRegister96 I have very low resist but trust me, I don't even need resist since I kill mobs too fast with my consistent strategy. Like I keep saying in my discord chat: "I would trade all my resist and critical Forever for damage".
basic. jj it's hilarious isn't it? I almost got 3 maxed wizards (125), storm life and my ice. The rest are 110 and my myth is 120. Myth is absolute SHIT and needs a Huge buff. I have all the dark moor gear and it's shit..? 3-400 critical, less then 150 block and less then 100 damage. Minions are shit too. We have no heal also.. In my opinion best schools are Storm (especially later on the game. At least level 60.) Fire (so far my fire is 114 with 89 crit and decent damage. Easy to pve with meateor or dragon.) Death is by far the most efficient in pve as you can 1v4 everything once you get lulu. Balance is pretty damn good. Not much to brag or talk down upon. Balance is just balanced. Life is really good if you have a team how ever, life sucks for soloing. Just for the fact that you're mostly based off of healing and I don't like taking extra time in battles then needed Ice Is amazing but lacks. In pvp just for the fact that towers are absolute shit now especially with piercing. I can pierce 30% on my death and storm plus you can easily get 50% peirce later on with dark shadow pips. I feel ice is one of the worse (myth is the worst hands down and NEEDS a buff PERIOD. ANYONE says differently is an idiot.)
I find fire the best due to decent heath...I mean I know power link is technically its only heal, but its damage is really high up there! You may have to wait a while for all that damage, but that's because it does so much damage. That kingsisle fire buff will also help immensely. I see your point with meteor strike being is generic multi hit spell but it can easily do over 3 K at max. Not arguing just sharing my point! :) GOOD VIDEO
I started my very first wizard as a Death student, and I did struggle quite a bit, but I had a lot of fun with it because draining spells are my FAVOURITE type of spell. I love all of the other schools, but the School of Death will always hold a special place in my heart
All schools are useful in their own way : Ice is the tank of the team, fire and storm are the hitters, life is the healer , balance is the debuffer and buffer, myth is the minion lord and the shield breaker, death is the life stealer and team support. :)
When I first started the game my very first wizard was Balance and now after trying out all the other ones as well, it's actually still my favorite. It's not weak, the spells are cool and it's just fun to play😇this game has just come out on steam and I'm strongly thinking of jumping back in
For my opinion, Ice has definitely been my most useful wizard class for me. Before I watched this video, I believed fire class was the strongest. But this video has helped me a lot in recognizing the true inner weaknesses and strengths of all the classes. To be honest, myth was my very first class I chose when I began. I wasn't very experienced at that time of course. But now I've been playing for a couple of months (about 3 months) and I'm beginning to understand things better. When I began I didn't really understand what pips are for, but the more I payed attention I started to understand things better. For my wizard101 account I have made my whole class of different wizards, each from a different class. This helped me play and see what it's like to be a different class. So far my ice wizard has made the most progress. I've watched this video a couple times (2 times) and the first time I watched this it was when I first began wizard101, 3 months ago. I was a myth wizard at the time and I felt disappointed about the ratings AwesomeTheSauce said. But now that I'm a bit more experienced after playing for a couple months, I definitely agree with the ratings he told us about ice. The thing I love most about ice class is that ice wizards get stronger health and are quite useful in battles, especially if you are battling stronger monsters. I am proud of my progress and those of you reading this thoroughly, i wanted to wish you best of luck in achieving your goals and leveling up and becoming a strong wizard. I remember becoming first acquainted with Wizard101 when I saw my brother playing back when I was in elementary. When I started playing later on, it was a blast! The game is honestly a bit tedious when it comes to getting from one place to another, but the story is still pretty interesting and worth it. Now I’m back at playing the game, and the improved animation makes everything feel more alive. (I REALLY recommend getting a fast mount to keep things from getting boring. You can either do this by buying a bundle card at Walmart or GameStop, or saving up your gold for this mount shop in Mooshu or another world.)
I had an Ice with Life secondary up till Satyr. I loved questing with him. it was hilarious stalling boss battles so much so that one boss could take 1 hour even though if I wasn't heal and shield spamming, it would take 10 mins. I literally never died. Good times.

Big fan but I must admit... I extreamly disagree 1. Fire (If it wasn't for the game becoming so largely Shadow reliant) are honestly one of it not the best schools. They're really well rounded. And even though meteor is their only sold Hit all that doesn't need a shad or a lot of pips, it's really all your need a lot of the time. 9/10 a meteor is enough to kill with a few blades and a feints. They aren't the best at running solo but their not bad at it. When it comes to pop they're still amazing. You talk about them not having utilities but they have some of the best in the game. What other schools combo like a fire can? Hephaestus? Efreet? Burning rampage? Fire can combo the fuck out of any school. Expecially with their traps. They definetly don't lack in utilities. But then you said myth have more utilities? Which they really don't because as soon as you stun block, the benefit they get from Medusa or Basilisk is completely gone. Myth are great but not as good as fire- not a chance. Fire can adapt to any situation and can get themselves out of the tightest spots, because efreet, and can even turn the Course of a match with a perfectly timed efreet. Definetly an 8 or 9 out of 10. I agree it's out shadowed by storm when it comes to damage but can a storm Combo like a fire? Can a storm adapt like fire can. All storm has in this era is damage.. and that can only take you so far 2. You say that life is bad for soloing and that death is better because life only get their AOE at level 58, while death get their at any level (deer knight). This is so inaccurate. Yes, death get scare crow at 48- But who honestly uses that, it's hurrendously week. And to craft deer you need to be in zafaria crafting, which you can only access at like lvl 60+ when you get to zafaria- so at the end of the day, life honestly get the better deal
I disagree with the life vs. Death point as scarecrow is an AOE meant to heal more then damage and if you blade up with a balance spell and death blade you really screw your enemy's with the health you get from that Another thing I personally think that death is 10X better then life, call me biased as my level 49 is death but hear me out, the healing is great with life but doom counters that shit HARD and sacrifice exists as a teammate heal, like a worse goat man I think called saphyr or something anyway it's starts with S and while sacrifice ain't anywhere near as good it's still a heal that can help your teammates or yourself in tight situations where there aren't 4 or 3 enemy's, you don't have a blade and scarecrow or maybe both Anyway in conclusion this is what I think and if you have anything else to say reply to this and tell me
My very first school that I maxed was Life, and I pretty much agree with what you said about questing on Life (although I can't chime in on PvP because I don't PvP). The way I overcame the hardship for life is that I did every single side quest. This ensured that I was always pretty overleveled, which made killing mobs easier without an AoE until I got 58. Though it was pretty slow, I found that I was okay overall until Dragonspyre, which is whenever I had to start buying Forest Lord TC from the Bazaar. After I finished Dragonspyre with the help of Forest Lord TC, I did Wintertusk with the help of others, which got me to 58 pretty quickly (I think I finished Dragonspyre at around 53 or so), so I didn't spend THAT much gold on Forest Lord TC. Just enough to get me through Dragonspyre. The good thing is, after you get Forest Lord, as long as you keep a good deck setup and good equipment, you're pretty much set for the rest of the game. It may be a bit slower than other schools, but you're still always gonna be good to go. Also, I find life benefits from Critical a bit moreso than other schools. Being able to critical heal at any time is very useful, making critical builds extremely viable on Life wizards.
i think a great school to start off with would be either fire, myth or death. ice doesn’t have good damage so it’s hard to solo, storm does a lot of damage but has low health so you find yourself dying before you can kill. and life really has no HARD hitting attack’s until your max level. and balance, oh balance. balance is a great school, has a mixture of everything. but it has no prism.
Death is last in PVP because people are scared shitless. You never know when they're going to cast a juju on ya. Specifically since death has good health as well.
my main wizard is ice and i love it, Ice is just really good imo. Started a fire wizard and im doing well on that, its just as good as ice or any other school. Each school has their own strengths and weaknesses.

You gave Ice, a school that is a tank and can't attack well at all and can't heal and is OK solo a 9, while death is a 10/10 solo school and still decent in PvP, and ur backup for ice was the 40 blade, death has a 40 blade too, I just couldn't watch this after that, Kingsisle gave the schools there own personal "thing" as a wizard and u sat here and gave Ice a 9 and death and fire a 5.
Ice is OK to solo? It's alongside death as best solo school, as well as a good teacher to newer players to learn proper setting up, and you can make mistakes with all the health and resist. I've played both, love both, but Ice is easier than death, albeit longer and tedious at times. It's the easy mode of the game, Slow and steady wins the race. However, I do agree with you, his points were pretty lackin. Most newer players always went after death and fire, and usually stick to it, so you know they're solid schools. Death is pretty easy for soloing, But I feel he means for new players they don't really maximize their potential, and there is a lot of adversity for death, loads of death mobs and bosses, and even life mobs/bosses who seem to shield more than most other schools. Damage is really important to make it easier for death; The fact that death can spike to 68%+ damage from stats, and ice can sit from 30-45% and do about the same damage is a clear testament to that. (Mid-high level comparison, most sun spells acquired at this point)
Snake Scooter actually death is a 5/5 PvE and 2/5 PvP because team battles exist and hyper buff a strong death spell at your level with the blades and traps Gg mate as long as there isn't an ice shield
This was recommended to me 3 years after BUT, I did start with Balance. The thing is that I had such a difficult time fighting because I didn't have someone with me. I ended up deleting my balance guy at level 48

@@tylerredforge5563 Absolutely. It doesn't have the same *nuclear* base damage spells as Storm, and it is kinda slow at the start, but IMO it's worth it in the end.
While I agree Storm is a hard school to start with, I was welcome to the challenge since the test said I was a storm wizard. I don't think one school is better than another, however, I do agree that Balance tends to get the most friends.
As a Myth main, I enjoy schools similar to my playstyle such as Ice and Death. I found myself enjoying Life (Although Life is my secondary school for my Myth) and Fire the least. My second highest level character is a Storm and she is such a blast to play compared to the pace I'm used to with my main. I'm also working on a Balance character and I'm enjoying how sturdy they are.
Oh life was my first character and I am very used to it. It does take longer to fight but my spells are pretty strong AND OH BOY THOSE SHIELDS HELP A TON!! I sometimes hit them in one hit and it is much harder for me to die because I have healing and good spells with shields to make them stronger. Also my minion helps too. One problem is that I have too many healing spells sometimes and I don’t have any attack spells. But I’m doing pretty good. And you can actually be really good if you have really good stuff! My wand and clothes and everything I have helps me be stronger! I know this doesn’t count but I actually got some critical rating which means I can hit a critical SOMETIMES. Like rarely but I just got it?? Idk how but I’m happy lol. I’m so glad I picked life. Also green is my fave color. :3
The reason why its good for people to start with the game because it shows people how to hit and use damage in use and how to stay alive enough to live
Ok so here’s my ideas Best pvp schools 1. Balance.... there’s really not much to be said here 2. Death..... if your doing 1v1..... it can disable/weaken heals and most of their hits give back health so you can keep going 3. Myth or ice..... reason I say both Ice has high health but low attack so they have to blade a lot but myth can summon minions to help them so they are about even Best solo quest schools 1. Death.... like I said they can heal f woth most of their hits and disable the opponent so it makes it so easy to solo 2. Storm.... now you have to be careful because it has high damage and high fizzle so it is more of a toss up 3. Myth..... minions can help you so it makes it a little more easy Best schools for support 1. Balance.... they are super supporters because they blade other people and heal overtime so they are great support 2. Life.... idk if there is much to say about this.... and again you could have balance and life changed but I think balance has it beat by a little 3. Ice.... they are good tanks so it can be really helpful for storm
I really find this video to be very poorly thought out so I am going to make a list of what I think are the pros and cons of each school and I will try not to play favorites so here it is :Ice pros. high health, op resist, and spells that can shield you as well and tower spam :Cons. lacks healing and pierce. :Balance pros. Multiple hit spells the spells can inflict elemental and spirit damage, and Can use Hot heals Aka (Heals over time) :Cons. Predictable strategies. :Fire pros. INSANE Dots, Spells that deal damage and trap at the same time, and has it's own juju aka "Efreet" :Cons. Lacks heals even though they have "Power Link" :Death pros. Can deal damage and heal at the same time, can cause enemy to have less healing effectiveness even without doom and gloom, and has op debuffs :Cons. Self damage spells ( I will try to think of other cons) :Storm pros. High damage, high pierce, high critical ( and they have bugs O.O) :Cons. Lacks health, resist, and Can die easy if stunned :Myth pros. Lots of stuns, lots of minions ( also btw guys I can tell you minions can be super useful in 1v1 especially) and Can use spells to remove all positive things off their opponent. :Cons. Lacks health ( once again If I think of more pros or cons I will add them to this list) :Life pros. Good health, can heal constantly if needed, and in 1v1 are extremely deadly. :Cons. Lacks Aoe attack spells, and Debuffs ( im not sure if the Debuffs part is exactly a con but oh well) And there's my list of the schools pros and cons I hope I wasn't to biased or negative in any way towards the schools I was just simply trying to address what the strengths and weaknesses were
I like death because it's a great class that is for people who like to go alone a lot without much help. It's a bit hard to play as in the beginning game, because the life steal isn't much with only half the shields, but late game with something like Dr Von's Monster, building up those shields and getting vengeance allows you to take down almost every boss immediately, not to mention but the life steal is INSANE for death. It makes death players unstoppable if they do everything correct. I play as a death wizard, and I must say, it's a great way for any player, new, experienced, or even masters at the game who have never played death.
now, objectively, as a balance main, i can say that what "the best school is" is a subjective question because of the strengths and weaknesses of each class and the preference of each user fire has a lot of damage over time attacks, meaning they often do chip damage each round. of course, they also have really good non-damage over time attacks ice is generally tanky and better at being a part of a team, but still more than able to hold up by themselves storm is intended to be raw damage, a glass cannon, if you will. in exchange of their attacks doing the most raw damage, their spells have the lowest accuracy of all the classes myth has a lot of minions and spells that remove enemy buffs. it isn't as tanky compared to, for example, ice, but still has quite a bit of power behind the attacks life is a healing class. it's able to do fairly well by itself with its attacks, but it's better known for being a healing class and how they can almost endlessly fight with their heal spells death generally is a life-steal solo class. it takes enemy health to restore itself. it does do fairly well in groups, but the gimmeck of self-healing by damage dealt usually makes it better with doing things solo balance, which is my main school, is a support class, having lots of buffs, traps, shields, and even two heal over time spells. it can still deal a lot of damage and take several hits, but generally it does better with 1-2 other players
Now I'm a level 49 balance, and I train Storm and Life so *IN MY OPINION* I think balance is best in PvP because of healing and Lore. (Even though I don't have it).
Isxxc - im a lvl 90 balance wizard, here's some advice- don't train in life, you're gonna get your own heal. Also, you're going to get unique spells like mana burn, which destroys pips and supernova, which destroys auras

i soloed the entire game on death with half way decent stats and it worked well. it just matters if you know how to choose the right cards at the right times in a fight.

As a Myth wizard, I'll admit that we are on the lower tier for everything PvE and PvP related just due to the fact that so much of our utility spells were either minions or minion support while other schools were getting things more viable. However if the minion mechanic will ever recieve a well thought out rework then Myth might be one of those schools to really look out for.

I mainly like myth because there are barely any of us. When I see a myth it is usually a low lvl. I also like myth since we can take shields and I love the animations for our cards. Having actual myths as cards is fun as well. I do agree that we have to many minion support and minion cards. It would be so much better if they gave us a smart minion as well as a healing spell for once.

Yet, myth is best against mobs with more than 2 monsters, because of the minion spells. I love my myth/life wizard.
Learn how to use your minions. They are fantastic spells. You'll always get more than your pips-worth out of them in battle. Also, you can use the 0 pip minion spell and then use another 0 pip spell to destroy him and get free HP's or pips out of them. But yeah, they went a bit overboard on how many minion cards you get. Two would have been plenty.

Oh nawwww as a Balance student it’s clear you haven’t been through the whole game, BEING a balance student. Balance is a good school and people tend to look down at balance without knowing what they are actually capable of.

I feel like Life is a lot more versatile than people think. I quest on my life with my friend's death, and she honestly took a bit of a backseat. I quested alone most of the time, and how I managed that was an intense amount of side quests! If you can level up your life as much as you can early on, it really puts you in league with the other schools. I also highly recommend crafting your gear, as it is easier to get damage that way. I tried balancing out my healing/damage/resist stats with the Wintertusk and Zafaria crafted gears, the Peerless eye wand, an Avalon dropped amulet that gives a blade, and a crafted ring and athame from Celestia. I think the biggest way to get around the damage problem with life is to have a lot of additional buffs. The Zafaria crafted hat gives a spirit blade card. The Wintertusk robes give a 25% (or 35%?) trap card, and the Amulet from avalon gives an additional life blade card. Also, my pet dragonfly gives a trap card as well! So thats two extra blades and two extra traps you can have. Yes this may take awhile to build up for all battles, but the beauty is that you can heal along the way! Thats just how I get around Life. I'm in Azteca right now, and I just trained Devotion (praise that update!) and I got up to feint shortly before that in Avalon. So currently, I can put four blades on myself, and five traps. The only thing I would have to say is that to get these stats you have to make sacrifices in other areas.
So I would say that there is a way to get around Life so it isn't just limited as a healing class. I TOTALLY would not recommend Life as your first wizard. In my opinion it should be your second or third wizard, you really need to get to know the game first. Drops and crafting is ESSENTIAL. Crafting takes a lot of time too, and its a bit tricky sometimes with the crafting quests, especially for those starting out. I really do stand by crafted over crowns, though. Except for the wands.

Little salty bout death being as bad as fire but you got a point. Pvp is horrible unless you juju spam. But in pve I never have to refill pots or go into battles with less than full health. It definitely has the best survivability of all the schools

I started out with an ice as my first wizard and I would definitely recommend starting out with an ice. They're really good for PVP and also questing solo. I used blizzard all the time until I got frost giant then used that all the time until I got snowball barrage. I quest with my sister sometimes who was a life, and she would heal us while I hit. I agree with everything you said in the video and ice can hit hard if you use strategy and you have good gear.

@@AxeOverSword If you're looking to spend your training points I would do it on life and on death but only up to feint on death since you don't need their hit spells. I don't really have good gear honestly and I went through questing solo perfectly fine so I think you'll be good especially if you have friends with you. My main advice is to get a good gear and always do the extra spell quests with Lydia Greyrose.

My first and favorite wizard is a balance. It is really hard to solo with this element, but the great thing about it is that you can team up with pretty much anyone and like you said, it's easy to make friends. You can blade teammates, shield them, and trap enemies to name a few perks. Also, since you have a lot of variety in types of spells, like damage, healing and blading, I didn't find getting through quests very hard. You definitely don't one-hit or get through fights fast, due to the low damage (and lack of a lot of damage spells early on), but overall it is really fun. Once you get to a higher level, fights get easier, but with balance *teaming is very important.* To be honest, every other school I've tried is still fun, but for some reason balance was always the most fun. It's a very secure element, but wouldn't recommend if you are just trying to speed through the game. For beginners, highly recommended. Anyway, overall, there isn't a best school. All schools have ups and downs and it depends on how the player deals with all the concepts.

Ayy, my max fire has 155% damage, 29 pierce, 28% accuracy, 100% power pip, and 8% shadow pip. I still need a Penta damage pet and my damage mount of course. I'll get around 160% damage when I do get that heh.

basic. jj it's hilarious isn't it? I almost got 3 maxed wizards (125), storm life and my ice. The rest are 110 and my myth is 120. Myth is absolute SHIT and needs a Huge buff. I have all the dark moor gear and it's shit..? 3-400 critical, less then 150 block and less then 100 damage. Minions are shit too. We have no heal also.. In my opinion best schools are
Storm (especially later on the game. At least level 60.)
Fire (so far my fire is 114 with 89 crit and decent damage. Easy to pve with meateor or dragon.)
Death is by far the most efficient in pve as you can 1v4 everything once you get lulu.
Balance is pretty damn good. Not much to brag or talk down upon. Balance is just balanced.
Life is really good if you have a team how ever, life sucks for soloing. Just for the fact that you're mostly based off of healing and I don't like taking extra time in battles then needed
Ice Is amazing but lacks. In pvp just for the fact that towers are absolute shit now especially with piercing. I can pierce 30% on my death and storm plus you can easily get 50% peirce later on with dark shadow pips. I feel ice is one of the worse (myth is the worst hands down and NEEDS a buff PERIOD. ANYONE says differently is an idiot.)

I find fire the best due to decent heath...I mean I know power link is technically its only heal, but its damage is really high up there! You may have to wait a while for all that damage, but that's because it does so much damage. That kingsisle fire buff will also help immensely. I see your point with meteor strike being is generic multi hit spell but it can easily do over 3 K at max. Not arguing just sharing my point! :) GOOD VIDEO

I've always been Ice since 2014 It's not about the school. it depends on how you play the game when in battle, and how wisely you choose your cards!
I started my very first wizard as a Death student, and I did struggle quite a bit, but I had a lot of fun with it because draining spells are my FAVOURITE type of spell. I love all of the other schools, but the School of Death will always hold a special place in my heart
All schools are useful in their own way : Ice is the tank of the team, fire and storm are the hitters, life is the healer , balance is the debuffer and buffer, myth is the minion lord and the shield breaker, death is the life stealer and team support. :)

When I first started the game my very first wizard was Balance and now after trying out all the other ones as well, it's actually still my favorite. It's not weak, the spells are cool and it's just fun to play😇this game has just come out on steam and I'm strongly thinking of jumping back in
For my opinion, Ice has definitely been my most useful wizard class for me. Before I watched this video, I believed fire class was the strongest. But this video has helped me a lot in recognizing the true inner weaknesses and strengths of all the classes. To be honest, myth was my very first class I chose when I began. I wasn't very experienced at that time of course. But now I've been playing for a couple of months (about 3 months) and I'm beginning to understand things better. When I began I didn't really understand what pips are for, but the more I payed attention I started to understand things better. For my wizard101 account I have made my whole class of different wizards, each from a different class. This helped me play and see what it's like to be a different class. So far my ice wizard has made the most progress. I've watched this video a couple times (2 times) and the first time I watched this it was when I first began wizard101, 3 months ago. I was a myth wizard at the time and I felt disappointed about the ratings AwesomeTheSauce said. But now that I'm a bit more experienced after playing for a couple months, I definitely agree with the ratings he told us about ice. The thing I love most about ice class is that ice wizards get stronger health and are quite useful in battles, especially if you are battling stronger monsters. I am proud of my progress and those of you reading this thoroughly, i wanted to wish you best of luck in achieving your goals and leveling up and becoming a strong wizard. That's all I'd like to say now, have fun!

I remember becoming first acquainted with Wizard101 when I saw my brother playing back when I was in elementary. When I started playing later on, it was a blast! The game is honestly a bit tedious when it comes to getting from one place to another, but the story is still pretty interesting and worth it. Now I’m back at playing the game, and the improved animation makes everything feel more alive.
(I REALLY recommend getting a fast mount to keep things from getting boring. You can either do this by buying a bundle card at Walmart or GameStop, or saving up your gold for this mount shop in Mooshu or another world.)
I had an Ice with Life secondary up till Satyr. I loved questing with him. it was hilarious stalling boss battles so much so that one boss could take 1 hour even though if I wasn't heal and shield spamming, it would take 10 mins. I literally never died. Good times.

Big fan but I must admit... I extreamly disagree
1. Fire (If it wasn't for the game becoming so largely Shadow reliant) are honestly one of it not the best schools. They're really well rounded. And even though meteor is their only sold Hit all that doesn't need a shad or a lot of pips, it's really all your need a lot of the time. 9/10 a meteor is enough to kill with a few blades and a feints. They aren't the best at running solo but their not bad at it. When it comes to pop they're still amazing. You talk about them not having utilities but they have some of the best in the game. What other schools combo like a fire can? Hephaestus? Efreet? Burning rampage? Fire can combo the fuck out of any school. Expecially with their traps. They definetly don't lack in utilities. But then you said myth have more utilities? Which they really don't because as soon as you stun block, the benefit they get from Medusa or Basilisk is completely gone. Myth are great but not as good as fire- not a chance. Fire can adapt to any situation and can get themselves out of the tightest spots, because efreet, and can even turn the Course of a match with a perfectly timed efreet. Definetly an 8 or 9 out of 10. I agree it's out shadowed by storm when it comes to damage but can a storm Combo like a fire? Can a storm adapt like fire can. All storm has in this era is damage.. and that can only take you so far
2. You say that life is bad for soloing and that death is better because life only get their AOE at level 58, while death get their at any level (deer knight). This is so inaccurate. Yes, death get scare crow at 48- But who honestly uses that, it's hurrendously week. And to craft deer you need to be in zafaria crafting, which you can only access at like lvl 60+ when you get to zafaria- so at the end of the day, life honestly get the better deal
I disagree with the life vs. Death point as scarecrow is an AOE meant to heal more then damage and if you blade up with a balance spell and death blade you really screw your enemy's with the health you get from that
Another thing I personally think that death is 10X better then life, call me biased as my level 49 is death but hear me out, the healing is great with life but doom counters that shit HARD and sacrifice exists as a teammate heal, like a worse goat man I think called saphyr or something anyway it's starts with S and while sacrifice ain't anywhere near as good it's still a heal that can help your teammates or yourself in tight situations where there aren't 4 or 3 enemy's, you don't have a blade and scarecrow or maybe both
Anyway in conclusion this is what I think and if you have anything else to say reply to this and tell me
My very first school that I maxed was Life, and I pretty much agree with what you said about questing on Life (although I can't chime in on PvP because I don't PvP).
The way I overcame the hardship for life is that I did every single side quest. This ensured that I was always pretty overleveled, which made killing mobs easier without an AoE until I got 58. Though it was pretty slow, I found that I was okay overall until Dragonspyre, which is whenever I had to start buying Forest Lord TC from the Bazaar. After I finished Dragonspyre with the help of Forest Lord TC, I did Wintertusk with the help of others, which got me to 58 pretty quickly (I think I finished Dragonspyre at around 53 or so), so I didn't spend THAT much gold on Forest Lord TC. Just enough to get me through Dragonspyre.
The good thing is, after you get Forest Lord, as long as you keep a good deck setup and good equipment, you're pretty much set for the rest of the game. It may be a bit slower than other schools, but you're still always gonna be good to go.
Also, I find life benefits from Critical a bit moreso than other schools. Being able to critical heal at any time is very useful, making critical builds extremely viable on Life wizards.
i think a great school to start off with would be either fire, myth or death. ice doesn’t have good damage so it’s hard to solo, storm does a lot of damage but has low health so you find yourself dying before you can kill. and life really has no HARD hitting attack’s until your max level. and balance, oh balance. balance is a great school, has a mixture of everything. but it has no prism.

my main wizard is ice and i love it, Ice is just really good imo. Started a fire wizard and im doing well on that, its just as good as ice or any other school. Each school has their own strengths and weaknesses.
If you took into account how frickin awesome the spells look I’m pretty sure the ratings would be a little different
Tbis made me sick dude. You gave Ice, a school that is a tank and can't attack well at all and can't heal and is OK solo a 9, while death is a 10/10 solo school and still decent in PvP, and ur backup for ice was the 40 blade, death has a 40 blade too, I just couldn't watch this after that, Kingsisle gave the schools there own personal "thing" as a wizard and u sat here and gave Ice a 9 and death and fire a 5.

Ice is OK to solo? It's alongside death as best solo school, as well as a good teacher to newer players to learn proper setting up, and you can make mistakes with all the health and resist. I've played both, love both, but Ice is easier than death, albeit longer and tedious at times. It's the easy mode of the game, Slow and steady wins the race.
However, I do agree with you, his points were pretty lackin. Most newer players always went after death and fire, and usually stick to it, so you know they're solid schools. Death is pretty easy for soloing, But I feel he means for new players they don't really maximize their potential, and there is a lot of adversity for death, loads of death mobs and bosses, and even life mobs/bosses who seem to shield more than most other schools. Damage is really important to make it easier for death; The fact that death can spike to 68%+ damage from stats, and ice can sit from 30-45% and do about the same damage is a clear testament to that. (Mid-high level comparison, most sun spells acquired at this point)
Snake Scooter actually death is a 5/5 PvE and 2/5 PvP because team battles exist and hyper buff a strong death spell at your level with the blades and traps

Life could be very slow but can be very rewarding IF you play with a team OR you have high pip chance.
Ice primary and then pick up storm spells as your second. High health, High damage. Simple yet effective

The fire school actually isn't that bad you just need the right gear and the right strat

This was recommended to me 3 years after BUT, I did start with Balance. The thing is that I had such a difficult time fighting because I didn't have someone with me. I ended up deleting my balance guy at level 48
I know this is a old video but I just watched it and I wanna say that I’m really happy there are other nerds out there that played this games as children and have good opinions on the schools my favorite is death for reasons and you video inspired me to some day make my own best school video, thx🙂
Personally, I'm a Myth student till the end, but I thoroughly enjoy Fire as well.

@@tylerredforge5563 Absolutely. It doesn't have the same *nuclear* base damage spells as Storm, and it is kinda slow at the start, but IMO it's worth it in the end.

While I agree Storm is a hard school to start with, I was welcome to the challenge since the test said I was a storm wizard. I don't think one school is better than another, however, I do agree that Balance tends to get the most friends.
As a Myth main, I enjoy schools similar to my playstyle such as Ice and Death. I found myself enjoying Life (Although Life is my secondary school for my Myth) and Fire the least. My second highest level character is a Storm and she is such a blast to play compared to the pace I'm used to with my main. I'm also working on a Balance character and I'm enjoying how sturdy they are.

I love how for death you can get to such low health and not worry about it and you just cast a spell and regain all your health back :D
Myth has a 7 pip all enemy hit they get at level 48 for 700 damage straight up, no shadow pip required.
When I use to play wiz I picked life as my first and soloed up until level 72
Life was also my first wizard but I stoped playing wizard101 for a few years so it is only at level 70
the only hard about death it takes a while to get a new powerful move since leave 22 to 48
Oh life was my first character and I am very used to it. It does take longer to fight but my spells are pretty strong AND OH BOY THOSE SHIELDS HELP A TON!! I sometimes hit them in one hit and it is much harder for me to die because I have healing and good spells with shields to make them stronger. Also my minion helps too. One problem is that I have too many healing spells sometimes and I don’t have any attack spells. But I’m doing pretty good. And you can actually be really good if you have really good stuff! My wand and clothes and everything I have helps me be stronger! I know this doesn’t count but I actually got some critical rating which means I can hit a critical SOMETIMES. Like rarely but I just got it?? Idk how but I’m happy lol. I’m so glad I picked life. Also green is my fave color. :3
The reason why its good for people to start with the game because it shows people how to hit and use damage in use and how to stay alive enough to live

Ok so here’s my ideas
Best pvp schools
1. Balance.... there’s really not much to be said here
2. Death..... if your doing 1v1..... it can disable/weaken heals and most of their hits give back health so you can keep going
3. Myth or ice..... reason I say both
Ice has high health but low attack so they have to blade a lot but myth can summon minions to help them so they are about even
Best solo quest schools
1. Death.... like I said they can heal f woth most of their hits and disable the opponent so it makes it so easy to solo
2. Storm.... now you have to be careful because it has high damage and high fizzle so it is more of a toss up
3. Myth..... minions can help you so it makes it a little more easy
Best schools for support
1. Balance.... they are super supporters because they blade other people and heal overtime so they are great support
2. Life.... idk if there is much to say about this.... and again you could have balance and life changed but I think balance has it beat by a little
3. Ice.... they are good tanks so it can be really helpful for storm
I really find this video to be very poorly thought out so I am going to make a list of what I think are the pros and cons of each school and I will try not to play favorites so here it is
:Ice pros. high health, op resist, and spells that can shield you as well and tower spam :Cons. lacks healing and pierce.
:Balance pros. Multiple hit spells the spells can inflict elemental and spirit damage, and Can use Hot heals Aka (Heals over time)
:Cons. Predictable strategies.
:Fire pros. INSANE Dots, Spells that deal damage and trap at the same time, and has it's own juju aka "Efreet"
:Cons. Lacks heals even though they have "Power Link"
:Death pros. Can deal damage and heal at the same time, can cause enemy to have less healing effectiveness even without doom and gloom, and has op debuffs
:Cons. Self damage spells ( I will try to think of other cons)
:Storm pros. High damage, high pierce, high critical ( and they have bugs O.O)
:Cons. Lacks health, resist, and Can die easy if stunned
:Myth pros. Lots of stuns, lots of minions ( also btw guys I can tell you minions can be super useful in 1v1 especially) and Can use spells to remove all positive things off their opponent.
:Cons. Lacks health ( once again If I think of more pros or cons I will add them to this list)
:Life pros. Good health, can heal constantly if needed, and in 1v1 are extremely deadly.
:Cons. Lacks Aoe attack spells, and Debuffs ( im not sure if the Debuffs part is exactly a con but oh well)

I like death because it's a great class that is for people who like to go alone a lot without much help. It's a bit hard to play as in the beginning game, because the life steal isn't much with only half the shields, but late game with something like Dr Von's Monster, building up those shields and getting vengeance allows you to take down almost every boss immediately, not to mention but the life steal is INSANE for death. It makes death players unstoppable if they do everything correct. I play as a death wizard, and I must say, it's a great way for any player, new, experienced, or even masters at the game who have never played death.
now, objectively, as a balance main, i can say that what "the best school is" is a subjective question because of the strengths and weaknesses of each class and the preference of each user
fire has a lot of damage over time attacks, meaning they often do chip damage each round. of course, they also have really good non-damage over time attacks
ice is generally tanky and better at being a part of a team, but still more than able to hold up by themselves
storm is intended to be raw damage, a glass cannon, if you will. in exchange of their attacks doing the most raw damage, their spells have the lowest accuracy of all the classes
myth has a lot of minions and spells that remove enemy buffs. it isn't as tanky compared to, for example, ice, but still has quite a bit of power behind the attacks
life is a healing class. it's able to do fairly well by itself with its attacks, but it's better known for being a healing class and how they can almost endlessly fight with their heal spells
death generally is a life-steal solo class. it takes enemy health to restore itself. it does do fairly well in groups, but the gimmeck of self-healing by damage dealt usually makes it better with doing things solo
balance, which is my main school, is a support class, having lots of buffs, traps, shields, and even two heal over time spells. it can still deal a lot of damage and take several hits, but generally it does better with 1-2 other players

Now I'm a level 49 balance, and I train Storm and Life so *IN MY OPINION* I think balance is best in PvP because of healing and Lore. (Even though I don't have it).
Isxxc - im a lvl 90 balance wizard, here's some advice- don't train in life, you're gonna get your own heal. Also, you're going to get unique spells like mana burn, which destroys pips and supernova, which destroys auras
Storm can hit A lot for people for a lot of damage sad deer knights in the background plus we’re only bad because monster mash got removed
