Honestly, selecting the "Hug" option here (Which spares asgore and aborts the genocide route) is worse than killing him. Not only are you manipulating his emotions by hugging him after all you did, you're leaving him in a city that's full of monster's dust. He'll have to live with the fact that he failed to stop you after you killed his people.
I completely agree with your opinion, but I noticed that there is something very wrong with the genocidal route, as you can see, when we are about to cross the bridge and have another confrontation with the Mad Dummy, we can see that there is a *HUGE CITY* while walking on the bridge, and the most we can kill is only 20, so it kind of makes no sense.
@@ap0rk_Guardian it's unrealistic, but gameplay wise it's doable. and besides, ruined home has only few monsters in it, most having relocated to the new capital where Toriel is, but the city is still there since it was once the capital of the monsters. It's the same with the ruins in undertale, 20 monsters killed yet everyone but Toriel is gone
4:05 this part hit me hard, the look on his face literally made me shed a tear in sadness because of how much I felt bad for the poor guy, and I'm not usually the one to burst into tears about video game characters dying. After that, he would roar and slam his trident into the box, creating shockwaves. But in the end, as Toby stated, he didn't add that because it would have made the fight too hard and due to the fact that Asgore's trident wouldn't fit on the screen. This attack pays homage to that.
@@grimmygrim9448 actually it was fully our fault, Chara is literally conscious that what they are doing is not right and is feeling hopeless due to the lack of control And this can be even seen during a PACIFIST run when we try to ask Asgore for him to let us leave, but Chara literally wanted to stay with him, and you can see that when we switch to the 2nd option, it rapidly changes to "How can i leave", and this same problem repeats for 2 times until Asgore goes to the garden in the back of his house
First i came that attack i thought i have killer him and he killed me first fireball i was shocked and her angry but it was entertaining fight i love it and music of last attack was imperresing

I hope this game doesn't get canceled like all the other undertale fangames, this game is really exciting to play, it captures the feeling of what undertale felt like the first time I played it, in fact it does it better, can't wait to see the end
This is what I love about underswap, when I first heard about it I thought it was really lame, I mean it's just undertale but characters are swapped, thats lame. I read comics, all of them only ever care about sans and papyrus which are essentially unchanged, But this this shows the true genius even though this person should just be like regular Tories, they are still asgore the more courageous and well asgore of the two. I like that underswap Asgore is much more serious compared to original Toriel. His goals and motive change, but his character remains the same as in Undertale. He is not selfish like Toriel and does not ignore the massacre that Chara caused.

From there you could use your "Up" and "Down" arrow keys to uh, move up and down. Kind of like the purple soul.

Asgore is not disgusted about their actions, so being spared doesn't matter to him. Like the original Asgore, he wanted no mercy because he killed 6 innocent children in order to free his kind, so he would rather have a good fight and die instead of feeling that guilt for the rest of his entire life.
They said Starlight isle is functionally complete so player can reach from beggining to the end, but details wise it still don't have some asset nor writtng yet and it doesn't account side content so it still may take a while and it seems like they want to release both starlight isle and Crystal Spring in one go
It depends on what enemies you fight while grinding. The person in the video probably only fought froggits and whimsums which give the least amount of exp for battles, which would only put you at level three max. Though not sure how the ruined knights's exp didn't push him to level four.

So, I didn't know this until I battled him, if after his final attack you go to ACT and select Hug, you can spare him and abandon the Genocide route.
But asgore locks yourself in the house and he asks you to leave the Ruins

I actually played the demo for the fan game cause it was a planned section in Deltatraveler and I got curious. Ended up dying quite a few times.
I also didn't know that once the trident turned gray I could pass through it. I guess the final attack made me forget Gray attacks can't harm you.
