    44:17 DOUBT QUESTION
In our previous discussion about matter, we learned that matter is composed of particles. When a substance, like sugar, is dissolved in another substance, such as water, the sugar particles separate and spread among the water molecules. In this chapter, we are studying the chemical properties of matter. You have explained that mixtures are substances made up of two or more elements and compounds that are not physically combined. You have also explained that homogeneous mixtures are those mixtures in which substances are mixed and are indistinguishable from one another.
An example of a homogeneous mixture is tea, which is made up of various constituents (like tea leaves, sugar, milk, ginger, and some other ingredients). So, can we say that the tea constituents have separated into intermolecular spaces between the water molecules? When preparing tea, heat is absorbed or released, but a mixture doesn't require any heat for its formation. Since a homogeneous mixture is also a type of mixture, why are we considering a homogeneous mixture as a mixture?

    44:17 TEA [Homogeneous Mixture]
The resulting mixture looks uniform because the dispersed particles or molecules are too small to be seen individually. There are no visible layers or separate phases. When you taste the tea, the uniform distribution of the components means that each sip contains the same proportions of water, milk, tea compounds, and sugar. This is why it tastes the same throughout.

    1:19:12 mam I have a doubt.
When we will increase the temperature the water particles will evaporate and the water particles will be converted into gaseous form so therefore water level will decrease ,so more salt will settle down and the water will become more unsaturated.
Please reply on my doubt mam.

    • @AwkwardAvii
      @AwkwardAvii Před 4 měsíci +5

See, We dont need to boil the water in order to create space for the salt that is settled down.
when we increase the temperature -> water particles create space between. them -> and therefore, the salt which was settled down will now move in the space created by the increase in temperature! cool, right? hope this helped!

The video script covers the concept of solutions, suspensions, and colloids, as well as the properties of matter and chemical changes. It explains the difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures, solubility, the Tyndall effect, and the classification of pure substances into elements and compounds. It also discusses the properties of metals and non-metals, and the importance of understanding chemical properties.
Understanding Pure Substances and Chemical Properties
Pure substances are made up of only one kind of particle.
Chemical properties are based on the composition of pure substances.
Understanding the concept of pure substances and their classification based on chemical properties.
    Understanding Pure Substances and Elements
Pure substances are made up of only one kind of particles
Pure substances can be classified into elements and compounds
Water is a pure substance and can be broken down into simpler substances through chemical processes
Understanding Elements, Compounds, and Metals in Chemistry
Water is not an element, it's a compound.
Water is made of hydrogen and oxygen particles.
Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity, and have a shiny appearance.
    Understanding Compounds and Chemical Combinations
Jewelry made of metals and non-metals needs to have a shiny appearance from a distance.
Metals and non-metals have different properties, such as luster and sonorousness.
Compounds are substances made up of two or more elements chemically combined in a fixed proportion by mass.
Understanding Compounds and Mixtures in Chemistry
Water is a compound made of hydrogen and oxygen in a 1:8 ratio.
Compounds can be separated into their constituents by chemical processes.
Homogeneous mixtures have uniform composition, while heterogeneous mixtures do not.
    Understanding Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Mixtures
Homogeneous mixtures have uniform composition and cannot be distinguished visually.
Heterogeneous mixtures have visible boundaries and can be visually distinguished.
Understanding the concept of homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures is crucial for chemistry.
Understanding Solutions, Suspensions, and Colloids in Chemistry
Salt solution is made by dissolving solid salt in water.
Children often misunderstand the concept of solutions, suspensions, and colloids.
Solutions are made by dissolving a solid or liquid in a liquid.
Understanding Colloids, Suspensions, and Tindal Effect
Colloids and suspensions have different particle sizes, affecting their ability to scatter light.
The Tindal effect occurs when light is scattered by suspended particles, making the light's path visible.
The size of particles in a solution determines whether the Tindal effect will be visible.
Understanding Concentration of Solutions and Saturated vs. Unsaturated Solutions
Scattering light can make the path of light visible, known as the Tyndall effect.
Tyndall effect is observed when sunlight passes through a dense forest with mist containing tiny water droplets.
Concentration of solutions can be determined using the mass by mass percentage formula.
Understanding the Effect of Temperature on Solubility
Adding salt to water at different temperatures affects solubility.
Increasing temperature increases solubility, while decreasing temperature decreases solubility.
Solubility is the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved in a solvent at a specific temperature.
    Understanding Physical and Chemical Changes
At a specific temperature, the solubility of a substance in a solvent determines the maximum solute that can dissolve.
Physical changes involve alterations in the size, shape, or state of a substance, while chemical changes result in the formation of new substances.
Burning of a candle involves both physical (melting of wax) and chemical (formation of carbon dioxide, water, and vapor) changes.
    Understanding Chemical Changes and Solutions
Chemical changes involve the burning of substances and the physical change from solid to liquid.
Applying concepts of solutions and identifying properties of substances based on their behavior.
Calculating the mass of solutions required to make a specific concentration of a substance.
Understanding Solutions and Solvents in Chemistry
Glucose is a plus mass of solvent, which is water.
The solution is 150 grams, and the solvent is water.
The mass of solution plus mass of solvent equals the total mass of the solution.
    Understanding the Chapter Concepts
Chapter was about Matter Rounds Pure
    Story was basically about Matter
Matter is now moving towards Chapter Three and Four

1)Chai mein water or milk mein koi speration boundary visible nahi hoti
      2)(samajh nahi aya)
      3) heterogeneous bhi hain or homo bhi in (case of heterogeneous) salt jada amount mein hone ke vajah se vo water se uski ek alag visible boundary hoti hai, or (in case of homogeneous) sea water mein bhot sari alag alag gases bhi mix hoti hain, jo sirf chemical method se seperate ho sakti hai,or uski koi visible boundary bhi nahi hoti.
