Dabuz is such a great player and very good at zoning out his opponent. But damn it is so boring to watch rushdown vs zoners as good as dabuz. Would love to watch him go against T3 Dom's Richter.

@Wyvern . look I’m no masahiro Sakurai but if you’re comparing a technical character using unique inputs and skill based conversions who has trouble getting in and to balance that has a mechanic that uses longer inputs to a character that runs away and hits left a left b over and over then we not playing the same game
Terry and the fgc characters in this game are the only group with special inputs, most of the cast in this game only press either A or B with a direction so your argument is lacking there. And the fgc characters may have trouble getting in but when they do get in they hit really hard, its just part of their archetype. Same as Min Min who is a zoner, hit and run is part of her gameplan because she doesn't have much moves to throw out in close range that is fast or safe. I don't understand people complaining about zoners when they have obvious flaws.
@@johnnybravosrightnut5117 “technical character” “skill based conversions” please anything a Terry does is considered the very basics in any traditional FG. His gameplay is fairly linear and his follow ups pretty consistent. He’s like a mid level difficulty character to play

honestly i prefer his terry. The shit he can do is so cool while still being able to keep control of the game better than kazuya
His Terry is amazing as well. I feel terry does way better against min-min than kazuya. He has been using Kazuya but it's smart to use Terry if Kazuya does terrible in a matchup. It's awesome that Riddles has been seeing success with both though.
I hope we can see more of his Kazuya, although it’s understandable why he didn’t go to Kazuya vs Min Min, as Riddles thinks that’s a borderline unwinnable matchup for Kazuya

It takes a LOT of patience to get through Dabuz’s defensive play, major props to Riddles for being able to handle that. I definitely get way too impatient in those situations

Nothing on Dabuz, it’s just Min Min feels so… boring… I know it’s just what he chooses and that’s how he chooses to play and that’s respectable. We as viewers can’t say “you have to play X character because Y character is too boring”… but man, I just get sad whenever I watch Min Min and see that the developers actually thought it was ok to add moves that cover the whole stage for little to no effort. (At least Samus needs to charger her shots, etc.)
Thats what zoners are incredibly boring keep away characters and ill never understand why they were made. They are boring and annoying and ur just blocking or evading a majority of the time

Great show from both players! I know I'm not in the vocal majority, but I actually really enjoy watching Min Min matches. Yeah, her advantage is super good, but her disadvantage is super bad. Going against in-your-face fighters like Terry isn't easy either, and while I give full credit to Riddles's patience and amazing recoveries, gotta give credit to Dabuz for dealing with the pressure once he got in, which happened a fair bit in that set!
Interesting point of view can you explain why going against in face characters is such a huge disadvantage for min min? Because I thought she could just keep them back easily
Dabuz' usage of double jumps never ceases to impress me.

I swear Power Geyser and Buster Wolf need a little more kill power. Dabuz was living at like 120-140 from those moves. Either way, it was so nice to see Terry winning.
MinMin is heavy. She around the same weight as Captain Falcon
Unova is a pretty big stage if I remember correctly. Dabuz always chooses the big stages for Min Min to be able to space and run around. While Riddles chose both small stages which he barely got to use his super specials
That matchup is supposed to be terrible for Terry.

I'm curious if Dabuz intentionally picks the most non-commital easy to use characters for reasons other than for competition.
He has used characters like Olimar, Rosalina and Luma in the past. Both characters that use separate hitbox type moves with the Pikmin and Luma. As for Min Min its identical to that too because her Arms don't have hurt boxes that affect the main character so it's like a separate hitbox too. I guess that it's just natural for him to use campy spacers.
People shitting on Dabuz for playing zoner, yet when Riddles plays zoner Richter they praise him smh

minmin so hard to play against 😭 she boxes so well. even when i play joker (someone i just picked up this year), its very polarizing from a somewhat close-long range to approach 🤣. i know you cant out-box minmin, and with ramram you cant really approach high... do i just need to master parrying? i can do that
you just gotta get as close to the min min as possible by sheilding / parrying, also you can use gun to stun the minmin. when you approach just spam fast moves and it works
I hate minmin. It's not even that I have problems fighting her since I play palu and if they wanna play their games I just press the b button over and over. It's that I feel awful for the person fighting them when I see these matches. Huge props to riddles for powering through it to take the win!

La forma que jugo Dabuz debió ser así cuando le tocó contra Leo, tan solo ve esos edgeguard, esa forma perra de defenderse al máximo, y sin olvidar el escapar y estar presionando en todo momento el escudo del contrario.
Espero que si juegan nuevamente Leo y Dabuz, el suba la expectativa y rompa a Joker hay con que, por parte de Leo sigo esperando lo mismo de siempre, ósea, que haga jugadas super fumadas y no pierda, a esperar no queda de otra.

Yo sigo creyendo en que Dabuz puede sacar más para usar a MinMin, la cuestión es adaptación, aunque igual son pocos jugadores de nivel que pueden jugar pacientes el mismo juego o ganarle.
