The Ginyu Force went to HFIL it's a mini series basically to watch after you're done with the cell saga
I always loved Goku holding a grudge against Piccolo being revealed in this episode 🤣 Like seriously you’d never expect him to be the person to hold a grudge.
It does a good job of setting up Goku to be the multi layered character we'd see in season 3 while still hiding it as a joke here.
No but fr one of my fave moments bec it genuinely took me by surprise 🤣💯
what's funny is... i'm not sure he actually was holding a grudge, or if he just forgot piccolo did the same thing to him and didn't even catch the irony in it

7:09 the reason he can’t do that is because the spirit bomb is actually going extremely fast (but for dramatic effect in the anime it looks like it’s going 4 miles/hour).
So if freeza tried that the spirit bomb would engulf him from behind so he can’t push it back and he basically gets hit even harder.

You have to circle back to the Raditz fight in abridged, to really appreciate the interaction with Goku asking Piccolo to distract Frieza for 5 minutes 🙂
So it took me a while to get this, but when Goku asked to play 20 questions, there were exactly 20 questions asked before Krillen asked "can't you take a joke"
I never knew that, why would they do that as a joke though? That doesn't have anything to do with Goku either way good job I noticed a lot of jokes tfs has done before because I was raised on older things so this one is good.

Also, I remember when Cartoon Network finally started airing the episodes when Goku finally started fighting Frieza, and with they previewed the next episode of Piccolo doing that kick to Frieza, the Announcer said Did Piccolo learned the Kaio-ken?! I was like WTF!? Only to find out that Krillin and Gohan just gave their energy to Piccolo. LMAO 🤣😹😹

8:56 I'm getting sick of this. Piccolo is Gohan's mentor!!! Seriously, all he does is train, defend, and fight side-by-side with Gohan, how does that make him his "dad"? That doesn't make any sense! If anything, Piccolo is more a friend than a dad.
At least, that's what *I* believe. I believe that Piccolo is Gohan's friend and mentor, not his father. Let me have my own beliefs.
