I was 9 years old at the time, I was an ESPN addict. My TV stayed on ESPN 24/7 I remember ESPN talking about the Baron Davis and Reggie Miller shot for weeks non stop. I always thought they happened on the same night, but Im pretty sure ESPN had a lot to do with the rule change by showing the shots hundreds of times. Also I never remembered the Samaki Walker shot 🤔Now a days they just take away points at the commercial breaks if a basket was incorrectly counted. Man I love these videos. Some of them unlock deep memories from my childhood.
The presentation, the volume of music, your microphone quality, your editing, so much info regarding unheard NBA stories... Your channel has everything that an NBA fan can ask for. Best NBA CZcams channel IMO. Massive props from Turkey.
Reggie is so underrated.. if he wasn't a loyal man. He could've gone to the spurs n win multiple championships. He would be a top 5 sg of all time. I still put him in my top 5, but I'm biased. Reggie was a killer
Nah wdym. He made the finals with the pacers and deep playoff runs each year. The pacers didn’t fail him like the blazers are failing Lillard. The pacers gave Reggie everything he needed
@@EndietheEnderman im not saying the pacers weren't good to him. They did build great teams for him. I'm a huge pacers fan. I'm glad he didn't leave lol but Indiana still wasn't a great destination for free agents. I understand players didn't move as often but it still did happen. Reggie had opportunities to play for the spurs n Celtics. He could've taken the easy way out. But didn't. I'm just saying. The rings would've made the public look at him in a higher regard... but I agree. Pacers did 100 times better for him than the blazers did for Lillard... it's a shame that brawl in Detroit. Cuz that year could've been the year. We were on another level. Then it just all crumbled.
@@s_ame1135 I'd pick Reggie over Harden. Talent wise, no. But clutch sniper > clutch choker. Plus he's a better locker room guy, and he plays smart team basketball which definitely helps you win in the playoffs. But I agree, he's not top 5. MJ, Kobe, Wade, Drexler, Iceman Gervin are ahead of him.
@@EndietheEnderman despite this video, the Pacers seemed to be on the wrong side of bad calls for years . Even that 2002 series, every call went against them except that buzzer beater. If he had played with the Spurs,Lakers,Knicks or C’s(large market teams the nba wanted in the finals) he would’ve had a better shot at a title.
Man I remember being 12 years old and watching that hornets game I felt angry for the hornets. They showed the replay over and over and it was very clear that Baron got the shot off in time!
In the 98 finals, Howard Eisley was robbed of a buzzer beating three which actually did affect the outcome of the game. MJ and the Bulls went on to win
considering momentum was on their side and scottie pippen was dealing with injuries that would almost definitely take him out of game 7 if it would've gone that way along with dennis rodman also facing a bit of issues they most definitely would've won that game. Even if Mike still did the impossible at the end of that game the utah jazz would've still had a 1 point lead at the very least.
Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad I like how it gives a more freedom to the game. Like if nowadays something like hand of god (maradona scoring goal with a hand) happens in todays game it will never go through. Otherwise, we have worse case where referees make bad calls to rig the game for another teams victory Edit: I think referees should be punished for bad calls like in Europe. Like Joey Crawford has been known to terorize nba for years and nothing has been done to them
man I really do appreciate your videos you make.. I always make sure I'm in the right state of mind too ⛽⛽ 🌴🌴. I be anticipating your videos especially this last one..it was ok but you've done better.. I need some real crazy you won't believe shit.. I can't spin off somebody else's idea but really do appreciate your videos broo.
When I went to Sacramento State, a friend of my mine always talked about how the Kings could’ve went to the Finals and won a title; I understood that they actually had a good chance (since they had a good group of people in ‘02) but the refs at the time were trying to win their bets on games they were in. It is sad that they didn’t get a chance to get a title in ‘02…but it’s even sadder that the last 20 years, the Kings front office keep doing their fans dirty by drafting terrible players every time (except that year they got De’aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley which was the smartest choice they actually made) and never realized how badly they keep screwing up. Kings fans do deserve better and the only way to get better is by getting rid of whoever is in the front office.
Kings are one of the most unlucky franchises in the NBA. They had this series stolen from them. They never did right by boogie. Left him without a team like the Lions did Stafford. They should have been in the finals that year. That was a very good and special team. Robbed by a greedy referee.
@@memphis1038 2003 they lost because Webber got injured but in 2004 they lost because Minnesota outplayed them. 2002 and 2003 was their best chances to win the Championship but in 2004 they were not as good.
The 03 Kings actually had a better shot at the title than they did in 02. They had Dallas on their heels before Webber got hurt. Beating San Antonio would've been a possibility too since Duncan was the only star in his prime.
Well actually the Kings are the 2002 champions with an asterisk that says real champions. Now that I see the Samaki Walker three that shouldn't have counted I'm more sure that the refs were in on it.
I remember the exact moment the Lakers made that three as a Kings fan. I said exactly after that of that costs us the game that's messed up...and of course it did
Either I'm trippin or you already put this video out or a very similar one. This is the second time I've had deja vu looking at that Reggie clip while watching your videos
If u pause tho, clock truly didn't start until a bit after Davis caught the ball. Just reaction of the people at the desk was slow and he didn't get it off until .4 left, but clock didn't start for probably a bit more than that. Refs actually got first one right.

This is off topic, but I remember the Howard Eisley 3 pointer against the Bulls in Game 6 of 1998 finals, and it was not counted, when it should have been. Instead of Malone and Stockton, possibly having a ring, MJ has 6 coz of it.
@@s_ame1135 how can you say it's not? Except for it coming out late. The shot in general was tougher n more clutch since it was in the win or go home game in the playoffs.

Of course your fam is more mad to the Lakers than the Kings if you're a Spurs fan. You will be automatically and subconsciously going to be rooting for the underdog team.
The refs wouldn't have it their minds that it's no chance to catch and shoot with 0.7 secs left. I don't know where you got that from but it had been a league wide notice since the early 90's that a player can catch and get a shot off with anything over 0.3 secs. They said anything under that would require a tipped ball. Basically I wouldn't be saying the refs didn't think a catch and shoot could happen with just 0.7 left cause the entire league new it was possible with half that amount left.

Marvin Bagley over Luka and Trae? Not an exception.
Kobe elbows Mike Bibby and the refs don't call anything you know it is definitely rigged. If Game 6 was not rigged the Kings would be champions.

Rigged series just like the 2002 WCF. Jazz are the 98 champions and Kings are the 02 champions.
They could have and should have put the Bulls away when Pippen was a non-factor. They didn't. It's their own fault.
