Fostering technology to protect forests

FSC is exploring how technology such as stable isotope ratio analysis can be used to protect forests by confirming where a piece of wood comes from. In the future, FSC will use this technology to protect the integrity of its certified supply chains.
IUFRO has recognized FSC as a thought leader for this initiative and supported the production of a film showcasing the ongoing work by FSC and World Forest ID on “Fostering technology to protect forests”.
