In order to make my eyeshadow collect get use - I have my every day makeup in a tray and I rotate 3 palettes every Sunday to use for that week. Some of my best work is happening bc of the rotation system!!!

I can't stop watching eye palette declutters. One single palette may have so many different opinions and sometimes we can see how palettes that we love and use are the "get away" of other people. It's always very interesting to compare points of view!😂

To be fair, eyeshadow specifically was centerstage to everyone’s makeup, starting with that urban, decay, naked, and then, on to TF sweet peach,palette !
In the last year or two eyeshadow has been almost nonexistent and blush has taken center stage, it makes sense to have many eyeshadow palettes! I bet in three years if we check our blush stash it will be over the top too… Lol!

I'm truly impressed with this declutter. So many times it's only like 1/10 of their collection. It just feels more like a show and tell. I think you're really gonna enjoy your collection now because you'll be able to find everything you truly love. Please do a part two of drugstore and quad's. That's mainly what my collection is lol
I think the Tiny Marvels Palette is my favorite of all time. I travel with it all the time. It is just perfect. And I always chat to Mel when I use it.

I've been watching your declutter series for years now and seeing your palette inventory dwindle like it has is amazing! You went from multiple drawers to less than one and it's inspiring. Obviously wasteful, and I think that's a problem a lot of people had for a couple of years there where many of us wanted the latest and greatest. However, stepping away from that, acknowledging that's how we were and we can do better, and learning to bring in just what we use to combat that wastefulness goong forward is such a good lesson. Love this!
I wore purple eyeshadow today! I’m proud of myself for not going neutral like usual. I have noticed people don’t wear eyeshadow much. Maybe we need to step up our game!😅

I love declutters but my absolute favourite are eye shadow palette declutters!
Eyeshadow palettes are my weakness. I’ve rationalised my hoard by saying “well I only have one mascara and one lipstick no face products etc so it’s not THAT bad” 😂
My makeup is like that too - one (or none) of most things and like 15 eyeshadow palettes. I know 15 isn’t a lot by YT standards but it feels like a lot to me!
You could display your favorite old palettes instead of throwing them out! Like the ABH Jackie Aina and the Misunderstood palette. they clearly make you happy when you see them, and they may make a pretty display for your room.

I haven’t bought any major palettes this either, just a few drugstore quads or single cream eyeshadows! I’ve been using older palettes in my collection as you have and it’s been so nice to pull out the ones I just love and use them❤ Definitely a declutter coming in my main drawer as well…Yes would love to see your smaller shadow declutter as well, it helps me soo much😂❤

Whoa I really didn't expect you to declutter some of these! Great job but also keep in mind that it is okay to hang onto stuff for a while longer when you are somewhat attached to them or they maybe are a lil bit similar to something you are also keeping 🙈 I also need to go through my stuff but I unfortunately don't have friends or family that would be very much interested in it...

When you said you do makeup with your nieces, I automatically thought of me babysitting my little cousin (in law, but still my cousin) who's 12 now, but I've been having her over for years now. Her mom isn't too into makeup but she totally is into makeup, super girly girl, so she always wants to come over and get makeovers... Which I'm so down for! As soon as she was old enough to notice and appreciate eyeshadow, she was wanting to come over and get into my collection. Actually, when I declutter, I give a ton of my stuff to her mom to decide what she wants to give to her and what she'll use herself, and my mom. She always ends up leaving with something lol. Anyways, this girl always, even at like 9/10 years old, finds the most expensive makeup in my collection. How does a little girl know which ones are the most expensive?!? I guess she just has an eye for it! The first time it was Pat McGrath 😂! I end up finding out what she got into half of the time when I go to get a palette that I want and there's eyeshadow dust all over the palette 😂! The last time I told her to just grab a palette she wanted while I was gathering up her stuff and noticed a couple of weeks later that she took one of the 6 pan pat McGrath palettes and the 5 pan Natasha Denona palette. Her aunt, who's my age and into makeup, was at her house asking her where in earth she got them! Then she told her and her mom was like absolutely not, I'm calling Vanessa and you gotta give them back. At that point, it was too late and I'm not going to ask a little girl for makeup back that I told her she could take. Now I know to pick out some palettes ahead of time. to tell her to pick from lol! Every time I think of it, I just crack up!

I’ve been using a similar declutter strategy of asking myself how long it’s been since I’ve used a palette, and it really has opened my eyes about what to keep and what to let go of ❤

I love eyeshadow pallet declutters and girl I'm so very proud of you for getting rid of that many pallets, but you are always buying some beautiful eyeshadow pallets and yes there were some that you decluttered and I was sitting on my couch screaming "I want that one and that one." I have to go through all of my palettes. Lately I don’t wear shadow I feel like I’m always on the move and no time bc if I do dramatic looks, I feel like they look incomplete without lashes
Lately it’s just my base brows and mascara for me.

It's interesting that I don't wear eyeshadow that often, and when I do, I use very small palettes (like the Elf Bite Size palettes.) But I enjoy watching palette videos! I'm proud of you for this de-clutter, and that you have decided to have a smaller collection. Great job!!

Have you tried the Natasha Denona Mini Retro Palette? I just bought it at Sephora and love it! The glitter is so dramatic and it is versatile for a 5-pan!

The Malibu Barbie and Trouble Maker pallets from Colorpop are two of my very favorite pallets ever!
I’m cracking up because I’ve been binge watching from newest to oldest. Your like “well I’m going to get rid of a lot of these colorful palettes. I’m just not into colorful eyeshadows that much lately”. Me sitting here going “yeah see you in another month” 😂😂 that switch def went off in your head 😂 you did a great job I think with the ones you did hang onto so you still had plenty to play with the urge finally took over. Like you said good thing, because you’d be buying new ones if you had. I don’t think there is another ytuber than has such a concise well rounded collection. Maybe Lauren Mae beauty, but I think you’ve even got her beat. Great job !!!
So in the mini Biba, I’ve found that the middle shimmer shade is very similar to the “inner corner” in the second row of the Midi Glam palette! And the light brown shade next to it is not a dupe but in the same general area as the “blend” shade in that same row in the Glam. So def don’t worry about missing those shades! I only know bc I bring singles when I travel, and I tested a bunch of mine to see if I could find any close matches haha
It feels a little sad to get rid of palettes you loved but I'm glad you have a curated collection now that is full of your favorites. Don't feel bad if you decide to keep a few you picked to declutter after all.

I also used to be obsessed with eyeshadows, and I also have an emotional attachment to them. I had kept my first eyeshadow palette ever purchased, ones my grandmother bought me, the one I used for my prom, and more. I ended up recently decluttering almost ALL and kept 4! As someone who rarely uses it but loves options that’s plenty for me

I love ND and Huda shadows so much at this point. Somehow they are always the ones I end up traveling with.
They definitely make some of my favorite shadows too! Their formulas are so good and I love the color stories in ND and Huda palettes!

You did so good!!! I am so glad I picked up mercury retrograde before it got discontinued I love that one and the only big palette I have bought this year is the retro and its as good as everyone says it is like wow on that one! I think that I haven't been inspired to buy that many and I am trying to touch all my singles and it makes me realize that I have plenty. Will I buy more palettes yeah probably but its slowed way down as I am trying to be smart with my purchases.
I'm really glad alot of influencers are cutting down on their makeup supply, sometimes watching people that have hundreds of pallets or blushes it's like there's no way you can use all that. I'm very proud of you you did a wonderful job.
I think that you did a great job. I have drilled down my collection to 15 large palettes and 4 small ones. Three are Pat McGrath and I don’t see myself getting rid of those anytime soon. I have a tendency to get declutter remorse with my Pat McGrath palettes. I gave away three and repurchased Subliminal already. 🤦🏻♀️
My favorite Colourpop palettes are: Making Mauves, That's Taupe, Nude Mood (got repurchase mine since it's old), Blush Crush, Baby Got Peach, Uh Huh Honey (so pretty), Grandeur (I actually wanted this palette but it got discontinued), Garden Variety, Cabana Club, Menage A Muah (love using it for holidays or parties), Boudoir Noir (holiday palette and Urban Decay Naked Honey's Palette dupe), and You're Golden. I love the HUDA Beauty Rose Gold Remastered mixed with the HUDA Beauty Mercury Retrograde combined. I do love Natasha Denona's Mini Eyeshadow Palettes which are Juiblee, Anaya and Love Eyeshadow Palettes. I do want get the Natasha Denona Mini Pastel Eyeshadow Palette. Lamora Nude Bronze Neutral Eyeshadow Palette and Lamora Smokey Eye Neutral Eyeshadow Palette - 12 Highly Pigmented Cool Toned Shimmer Matte Colors For Professional Everyday Nude Looks - Travel Size Eye Shadow Makeup Palette With Mirror are both dupes for the Natasha Bronze and Glam Eyeshadow Palettes which are available at Amazon. The Milani Glided Flora Eyeshadow Palette is so pretty. Too Faced Better Than Chocolate Palette reminds me of both the Chocolate Gold and Chocolate Bons Bons combined. Urban Decay Naked Heat, Naked Cyber, Naked Wild West, and Naked Honey are all of my favorite UD palettes but I have to repurchase the Naked Heat Palette with the Colourpop Nude Mood Palettes. The only con about the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette was that the shade trick was so hard to apply bur when it goes on sale, I'm going get it. I own the LA Girl Sunkissed Glow Palette but I don't like how the gold shade applies. Colourpop's Lust For Dusk I own and I wear it for special occasions. I only use the matte shades combined with Blush Crush for a soft glam natural pink. Did you like the Colourpop East High or Malibu Barbie palette more? I can't decide between those two.

I’ve learned to just buy single shades instead of running out and buying a huge pallet just to use 1-2 colors out of 30. It saves so much more money.

I can’t remember when I last bought an eyeshadow palette. I used to buy one or two every month!
I decluttered eyeshadow awhile back and also sold some on my Mecari. I still have 58 so I just have someone give me a number daily 1 thru 58 and that the pallet I use that day lol been making me use mine and also been forcing me to be more creative as well as be outta my comfort zone and by doing so I now like purple shadow on me and most compliment I have gotten is on days I did purple looks. I ain't figured out blue or greys on me yet lol but I liking picking number so far daily!

We only have 2 of the same palettes and you decluttered the ones I have. (Urban Decay Wild Cherry, and Better than Chocolate. And you don't have most the rest of my collection, just the 2. It's so amazing how many palettes there are to choose from!

Naked 3 is like a daily for me - I have hit pan in two pans ! Love 💕 that one !
You have the best of Natasha Denona, although the My Dream palette is my personal fave, I also love the Glam, Love, Retro and Retro glam. My first palette ever was Urban Decay Born to run, and then the Naked Cherry. I decluttered the born to run as I broke the lid and it got super old like 10 years old, but I still love the Cherry one
