honeysoob I tried making plaster clay cracking but I couldn't get my clay so smooth like your when I pour the plaster on my clay, any tips for me ?

You mean you couldn’t get the plaster smoothly covered on your clay? To get the right consistency of plaster mixture, you have to follow the instruction of your plaster brand for the right plaster:water ratio. Covering your clay with wet wipes or spraying water on it might help you to keep the clay moisturized if you feel the clay is not smooth/dry ! Let me know if that helped 🙂

How long does the plaster have to dry for?

It depends on consistency of the mixture, but I usually leave it at least 2-3 hours to dry 🙂

I tried doing this, but my plaster came out thicker and I don't think I have the right clay. I'll have to try again. I am using Plaster of Paris, so maybe that could be it too. When I have money to spare I will try different plaster and different clay.

I have one problem with the clay. How do you change the clay’s colour from the food colouring? It will mix! Do you put Anti-food colouring on? Or get some more clay from the store? Or wipe the clay when you were told to? And I have another question. What if you miss some pieces from the clay? And why do you sometimes have powder in your hands when you crack? And thank you for the tutorial,I sure appreciate it. Also I’m saying “clay” for short or else I will type a lot.

your comment comes off a bit aggressive. it was all typed out in the video during the process… the very first bag was air dry clay. the second bag was natural plaster.. all you need is acrylic paint, water, air dry clay and plaster to make this. follow the step by step process in the video and you got your very own sensory cracking clay ❤
