Champions often seem like they're on the verge of losing and squeak out tiny margins. But the margins aren't really tiny. You kind of know they'll pull it out and win, regardless of the Laker runs.

Honestly, this isn't even that weird. Denver never gets free throws... ... Which is probably for the best, cuz we also can't make them. I consider 22 ft in a game about as fair as the refs can stomach being in a Lakers game. It's when they go for 22 in a quarter that I start to raise an eyebrow.
The disparity.... Couldnt make it more obvious... they gave Lakers all these silly tacky foul calls but Nuggets couldnt get barely any.
honestly its just that lakers have no defense they give them so much space that they didnt want to foul them thats why nuggets didnt get that much freethrows and thats also why they won too
@@mosquitoburrito2232 I mean, to be fair, 4 out of 5 starters have excellent FT%, leading with KCP at 92% (!) followed by Jamal with 85%, Joker with 82% and MPJ with 78%. AG is kinda slacking with a modest 63%, but I do think that getting more free throw attempts would significantly lower the pressure on the guys during these games.
In other words, if we wouldn't have to chase to equalize the huge discrepancy in points caused by the unfair difference in uncalled fouls, the guys would be under much less pressure compared to now.
