Thanks for the vid. I am considering this type of pergola for a walk way that would be wall attached. What's your judgement on the coating for the Lynx connectors? I assume it's steel, but what's it finished in? Thanks again!

if i put siding on this structure would a strong wind push it over? or should I use a pole barn structure put the posts at least 24" in the ground?

Wondering if the corners might have been a big part of the tight fit issues?
(Forcing sharp, square wood columns into the (slightly radiused) steel tube corners is gonna be a no-go, even when the side-to-side clearances should work.)
Just thought that it might be worth trying a 3/8" radius roundover bit on those corners next time before breaking out the belt sander.

      No. They needed sanding

Ya exactly, the metal was rounded and the wood had corners, so it needed to be rounded out. Belt sander made it too loose and ... What a mess

Toja grid looks way better, these seem like knock-offs

Pergola is pronounced PER-GOAL-AH...btw, that looks like a pretty crap product if you gotta bash it with a hammer and attack it with a belt sander just to get it to fit together...sure as hell ain't no Ikea bookshelf
