Recently i was watching NBA TV's Open Court and Dr J and Dominique Wilkins were invited to the show. The way they spoke about Charles, not even Ernie could believe it. Dr J said Chuck dominated their first practice as a rookie coming to the league and gave his career 2, 3 more seasons 'cause he didn't need to carry the team so hard. And Nique said he went with another pro to Auburn to play with some kids and one of those was Charles. Wilkins said he would not believe the fat kid could play... At the start of the game he easily blocks Charles shot and says "i told you the fat kid can't play".
Wilkins laughed while remembering the situation, calling it "a mistake", since Charles proceeded to dunk on Niques entire frontcourt the next 3 plays lmao
Charles plays the role of the fun uncle too much. He's a legend and people disrespect him way too often. Maybe not intentionally, but people not knowing who the guy WAS may be the cause. He's not even in 2K games because of a really noble reason, and kids today learn the game through the videogames.
He says it in this video as to why he’s not featured or ever won a ring; “I’m not going to hell like the rest of my friends.” His friends sold their souls to 👁.
