Overall Winner - The Parcels Building | Schüco Excellence Awards 2024

Structura, Grafton Architects, and tp bennett were crowned Overall Winners at the Schüco Excellence Awards 2024 for their work on The Parcels Building in London.

The building, located on Oxford Street, also clinched the Refurbishment and Adaptive Reuse award. The judges were full of praise, saying:
“This is an exemplary model for repurposing a building through thoughtful façade design and the clever use of standard Schüco products. The result is simultaneously fresh, contemporary and contextual."
Originally built in 1957, the development gets its name from the historic Royal Mail post office tunnels that run beneath it. The project involved stripping the building back to its core and introducing a new, clean-lined classic façade to echo the iconic Selfridges building opposite, with continuous Schüco curtain walling installed behind the pre-cast and handset Portland stone feature cladding.
