Just unpack it and make sure you paste it in a separate folder(as well as in a separate partition if possible, but is not that necessary), then run it as it is. No need to install it or anything. You also need to run(only once) the ProfileFix batch file which comes within the same folder. It will help in case user's profiles won't get saved after every run. - Zábava

Greetings everyone!
The project has been recently updated to v2.8.
This is a big update and I invite all those who are interested to check it on the usual links in the description.
However, due to the presence of new models with textures from WarcraftIII v1.28, use of that version of the game is a must, otherwise said models(such as human town hall) will be invisible(thus unclickable). Don't use 1.29 as the newer version will glitch up the remake even more.
Fear not. I already put 1.28 within the description. Follow the simple instructions to download it and play. Of course you need to own the original game, otherwise it won't work. Have fun and enjoy!
Will you ever add the Warcraft I sound effects?
@@HarryPotterPs1fan there are already wc1 sounds as per sword hit, ranged weapons and spells. If you mean voice wc1 sounds nah, that would be way repetitive for a detailed game such as warcraft 3.

I tried it and its so amazing, totally captured the feeling of Wc1 with some improvements of the Wc3. It is as if it has come to live anew

So it is 5 AM where I am at. . . but the second I started playing I was captivated! That was AWESOME and crazy enough I only watched my brother play that game when I was 4-5 years old. . . never played it but some memories came back! Thank you big time! (PS, all your hardwork made the Warcraft movie go from it's okay. . . to a great memory as my kid played the other campaign on the laptop!)

What a small world, I've seen you in so many Tekken videos and here you are making Warcraft mods. That's so awesome man. Still figuring out how to download and use this though :/ never modded WC3 before. I downloaded 1.28. Made a "Campaigns" folder in the base folder of the game. Put both humans and orcs inside. Not showing up when I go to play custom campaign
There are 2 folders for the games, one is in the install path, the other is in Documents. I don't remember which one the game does detect for the campaign and maps.
As for myself, I've been playing Warcraft since i was a little kid and RTS is one of my favourite genres alongside FPS, Driving and Fighting of course. I just became very selective with the titles as I got older. I think you are only one of the veeeery few Tekken players to know that i also do this! :D Don't forget to check my Warcraft 2 mod currently in development on the same forum!

Well, no, i definitely won't. This project took me lot of spare time and attention, expecially through last year, when i worked on its update. Another project of the like would take a long time, after which i dubt people will still be so consistently playing/modding on wc3. Maybe by that time wc4 will be out? who knows?
oh I see. Maybe you could place this project on kickstarter and maybe people could support you to do it with some money for the time and the effort you will spend on this. Who knows?

It is a webpage where you can show the project which you want work on, and the people could donate money to support you on that. I'm sure you had got a lot of money with the remake of WCI that you already did.
lol absolutely 0. I did this because i firstly wanted to play it. Later, as dozens, hundreds of tests were going, i grew somewhat weary and bored by it. Probably i will rec a longplay sooner or later.

I just telling you, it is impossible to finish the game without cheat codes. Some levels possible, most of them not. I wathced old gameplay videos, and I see the difference. Because WC3 has better AI, then WC1 it makes impossible to finish the majority of levels withouth cheating. The opponent spawning units all the time, and do lots of summoning units. The catapults hurt my units most of the time. I managed to finish many resource gathering levels usin gold and lumber cheats. But I couldn't finish Blackrock spire, I had to use god mode.
+Oreskó László hard or normal mode? Just reach conjurers as fast as you can there and you re good to go. In hard mode there is another solution, an it ain't cheats. Anyway, human campaign is not my favourite.
Normal mode. I can kill conjurers but the opponent spawning more.
I played with lot of strategy games. for example Stracraft 2 on brutal difficulty, but this one is impossible for me.
+Oreskó László i didn't say "kill". i meant "train". You already have one at the beginning. Tech them fast and spam them. I already had someone else playing for me.
Damn man i just watched warcraft movie and now i'm gonna replay warcraft. I was wondering if there was a remake of WC1... I guess it is and damn fresh. :D

How did you get yours to work? I have moved the files into the Campaign folder, but it does not come up when I look at the Custom Campaign selection screen ingame.

Damn it! The announcement caught me off guard! I'm in the middle of the Warcraft 2 remake! It depends on what will the new editor be capable of, retro-compatibility and, most of all, when it's going to be finished and released! Now i really have a deadline.

what do you think about the new Warcraft 1 remake in reforged?
A valiant teamwork effort of individuals who, other than being legally united under a collective brand, clearly have plenty of time, motivation, ideas, resources, feedbacks and, most likely, profitable gaining, which is more than a justifiable end to the means.
Now, only things I had when I started all of this(myself) were time, motivations and ideas based on the resources I could find on The Hive, which were not as plenty and well-crafted as the ones available today.
@@ThePhantomPhanto Nice. I never played W1 and W2 so im thinking about trying your mod. It looks really good. I was never really a fan of how W2 and 1 look. They are so old so better gameplay is needed.

I have one problem. When i start play it don't show me secondary objectives, time countdowns and "fire rain". And in fourth mission in every campaign when I finsh quest (Find Lothar/kill Grisdela) nothing will happen and i can't continue.
nobody ever complained about this. idk it's your problem. maybe new game version bugs.

legofanguyvid it's not because of that. The expansion offers more elements to use and it has an updated armor/damage system. The author simply did his job, but the editor told him "This map has elements of the expansion blablabla"

Hey I downloaded the .w3n files from your links, but I don't see any ReadMe docs for how to setup. I'm a complete War3 noob so this is probably really basic. Help?
Well, first of all you need Warcraft 3: The frozen throne updated to the latest patch.
Paste the .w3n files into the "campaign" folder located in the game folder.
Run the game, go to "custom game", then "custom campaign". You will see the campaign in the list.
Thanks! I didn't update my Frozen Throne so the '../Warcraft III/Campaigns/' directory wasn't showing.
To update The Frozen Throne, click 'Battle.net' from the main menu. The game will initialize connection and during this process will install any updates to your game.

I too am a War3 noob and was struggling to figure this out. As a added aside for other War3 noobs, you update the game by connecting to B.net while Warcraft 3 is running!

It's being translated in chinese. Someone wanted to translate in spanish but contacts have been missing ever since. As long as they do it on a separate site(not on THW) it's fine, otherwise it would go against its rules.
