Michael Rosenbaum is the best Lex Luthor to date, Smallville hit the nail on the head with that one.
Definitely
Okay. It's Michael Rosenbaum wants it,
he'd gots it from his head. Are on with
Both, Zack Snyder's Justice League, or
the same of DC in Aventure Infinity War
Smallville had so many heartbreaking close calls for me, a long time DC comics reader. It was always almost, but not quite, great.
Exactly but it holds up. It's better then anything on tv now.
That was intentional. WB behaved like they had greater plans for Smallville and were waiting for certain benchmarks like enough seasons for a high priced box set and merch, which didn't do so well, before rolling out an expanded universe. CW showed right from the beginning how doomed they were as there was a lot of potential to keep it going. CW's Arrowverse started off OK, but devolved rapidly and imploding in grand fashion resulting in CW having to be sold for $0. Smallville did cover enough bases to keep it good throughout and even had Christopher Reeve's stamp of approval.
I love your videos! Comedy and information. It's just a great combination!
Oh sure lol Smallville fits in with sexy small town shows at the time. Can't blame Evil Allison Mack for the aquaman fail but hopefully she turns a new leaf given comic book short term jail lol though there's all sorts of reports for when or if she was already released.
3:25 AC lol and I thought Welling not being superman and stuck in Smallville Steve Urkel style was ridiculous.
I love Smallville and was hyped for he Aquaman spin off.. When the switch happened with the actors I was so confused as to what happened.. it’s amazing how things going on in the background that we don’t see or know until videos like this come about.
I’m just glad everything worked out for the actors and that were able to continue to do well in other shows
With the flash ending soon, a back door pilots of the arrowverse might be an interesting video.
Arrowverse spinoffs i would like:
a kid flash spinoff
a Roy harper spinoff
a john Diggle spinoff
a cisco Ramone spinoff
I watched Smallville a lot when It was on The WB and CW It was a fresh take on Superman and the DC Universe at the time alongside the DCAU Animated shows.
Do more Videos on The WB and UPN Shows.
Another masterpiece, Kevin! Keep it up!
Thanks, I narrated the script that was written by Nick Nadel and Emily Menez. Plus it's edited by Frank Reynolds. And our EP, Tim Finn. We've got a great time.
@@KevinGeeksOut bro your voice is what makes me watch these videos😁
Been saving this video to "open" on Christmas day. Thank you for this vid and hope you have a happy holiday season!
I love your videos!
Fox crane from passions was EVERYTHING
It kinda has Baywatch Nights kinda feel to it. Very 90s cheesiness look to it.
How the hell did you not mention Thad Castle. That was CLEARLY Ritchson's breakout role.
As someone who owns the complete series of Smallville there are only two episodes i enjoy watching over and over and those are the 2 Parter of season 9 " Absolute Justice " But it also has the Aquaman pilot and I Love it even tho Justine Hartly Played a real sexy green arrow he could've made aquaman a hit
I was impressed by their slick incorporation of the waterball power from the old Aquaman cartoon!
I have the pilot on DVD
The producers actually pitched a Bruce Wayne series. But Warner wanted to keep the Batman IP a film thing. The pilot made $ from the early days of paid downloads.
such an underrated channel 👏👏
Good vid!
Ving Rhames never came off as the type to play the "old black sage" that a lot of movies and tv shows have
From what I've seen, I'm 100% certain that if this Aquaman series had continued, a plot twist would have occurred where the Ving Rhames character would have been revealed to be Black Manta, the # 1 Aquaman arch-nemesis. There were several clues that he's really Black Manta (the harpon gun that's seen in the Aquaman pilot being a prime example since that's Black Manta's weapon in the comics). So he's actually pretending to be a friendly sage type character in this first (and only) episode pilot... but he's really the main villain who is manipulating the hero and waiting for the right time to strike.
@@johnpenguinthe3rd13 That makes sense actually, much like Clark Kent's relationship with Lex Luther in the beginning of the Smallville series.
I love this channel ❤
Alan Ritchson was hilarious in the Blue Mountain State series. He can pull off comedy, no doubt of it.
I'm surprised he didn't mention it.
Imagine tuning in to "Tempest Key" expecting a Laguna Beach ripoff and it turns out to be a Teen Aquaman show.
A show with Tom Welling and Alan Ritchson ought to have a costume budget of zero dollars and zero cents. Then I would watch.
I remember watching the Aquaman Pilot, I can understand why it didn't work out. Also at the time Aquaman was not taken seriously as a superhero unlike Batman or the Flash, so that didn't help either.
Aquaman TV show was the number one watched pilot at one time..
I don't know if you're still reviewing failed pilots but I have dubbed Marvel's What If series as "Backdoor Pilot, the Series" since the Marvel Zombies episode inspired a series. Also, a StarLord T'Challa series was planned but put in limbo after Chadwick's death.
Yes, still doing backdoor pilot videos -- new one coming soon. And that's an excellent point about WHAT IF. Thanks for the suggestion.
Nerd Alert: Aquaman used the water balls in the 1967 cartoon.
Yo never knew he was on America Idol and did this man ever not workout?
At first I thought this said why Smallville failed I was like bs. Then I saw Aquaman and I was like there was an Aquaman show?!
Wasn’t Hartley Green Arrow in the Smallville series?
Besides, there's a little bit of Changes to
Avenger Infinity War, what I'm just thinks
about DC Justice League? Of their Film:
Is also, of Zack Snyder's Justice League too.
But was it. Isn't it, about a Aventure
Infinity War, as for sure it's rather it.
First DC's Arrowverse, what Justice
League for the Wave-Defenters were?
Can you do a video on the Dawson's Creek spin off
Smallville is the best
Smallville had its upsides and its downsides. Jimmy Olsen was Doomsday. Like, the big thing that killed Superman in the comics, Doomsday
It didn’t work bc he was The Green Arrow in Smallville and both Were in the same Universe
OMG -- JACK REACHER !!
Tom Welling is so handsome
You need to do a failed super hero pilot episode
Justin Hartley has also gone on to voice both Batman & Superman in two cartoon projects..
never said why it did not work.
I never could get into Smallville and the AC spinoff seems like it would have been boring.
Surprised you didn’t call the Aqua-man casting racist…since they didn’t use REAL Atlanteans …
Couldn't stand Lana.
Easy answer aqua man c tier at best.
I have the pilot on DVD. It was pretty good
I think Aquaman could be really cool under the right circumstances. I love Jason, but even his version doesn't feel right.
I can answer this, it's because Aquaman sucks!
Aquaman is a lame character.
