But nevertheless, there was a great team spirit and trust, that you could see and sense it. At the latest, after this ugly fight against Algeria, they were ready. These are the games you have to win. But Brazil semi final caused Brazil a lot of repsect and intimidation. Espacially for us fans. Still we trusted them, but the outcome was something else. I have experienced the traumatic last-minute loss against Italy here in 2006, so I can only begin to understand what that day in Belo Horizonte must have felt for you Brazilians. I love your people and have Brazilian friends, so I always have mixed emotions about that day. Probably has German roots. There are towns in Brazil PACKED with Germans because they fled after their defeat in WW2. My dad has been to some of these towns and says they feel just as German as Berlin or Duesseldorf and they speak German in some of these places. Ironically, there are so many with German roots that a friend who lives in Ecuador told me he might as well learn a little bit of the language as they're starting to become a larger minority in some parts of Ecuador!
It's nearly four years ago and still I can't think of any sport event on tv that appeared so strange and weird. The devastation in the brazilian faces are unforgettable and no one I know enjoyed to see those women, men and children in such a state of sadness. how can you say your football is still based on individuality? if i remember back to the 90's and early 2000's ( and i cant remember more far back than that, but since there is not much to miss from the 80's brazil i think i have a voice here ^^), this was, maybe beside fc barcelona under pep, the best football i have seen - and that from a national team, that had spent hardly any time together! they played this nice one touch football, direct approach. also: 3 world cup finals in a row, which was and is unheard of, not even peles brazil had this accomplishment) it was a joy to watch and the reason i became a fan of brazil team im 1994 ( im german). i think this is what you and brazil should strife for. bring the joga bonito back and show the world how the game is meant to be played: beautiful AND successful. if done properly its an undefendable style. if you score 4 you can concede 2 - no problems with being a bit weak in the back.

I am Brazilian and this result was not a fluke. Foreigners who like football do not watch our local tournaments. Our domestic football have declined in quality. Ridiculous people have been in charge of our football. Our best players are not in the best teams anymore. The clubs are full of people who does not know anything about football, so, this score was unpredictable but not a fluke. And the worse thing, after this game it is already 4 years ago, nothing has been made or done to change this scenario. For the "owners" of our football , everything is fine, but it is not . Shame on them, they are blame for this tragedy.

The devastation in the brazilian faces are unforgettable and no one I know enjoyed to see those women, men and children in such a state of sadness. We' d better won 3:0, what a celebration this would have been.

The first two goals we where celebrating like crazy, but then it got more and more into a "what the f... is going on here?" mood.

and i have never met a guy in germany, who would say something bad about brazil... maybe its different on youtube, if the people are anonym. but even under german vids no one is saying bad things against the brazilian team. i personaly think that 7:1 is so unusual, that some people make fun of it, but those guys are usually not from germany.

Marc Marc Bullshit! How do you know where people are coming from on the internet? They're anonymous. Everybody could say he's German, but then they actually come from elsewhere. Nobody in Germany mocked Brazil - they celebrate their own team. Germans aren't bad losers like Argentinians or Portugese who always blame it on the referee or the whole world that "conspired" against them. But additionally to that, Germans are also good winners that always show respect towards their opponents. Not only their players, but also their fans.

how can you say your football is still based on individuality? if i remember back to the 90's and early 2000's ( and i cant remember more far back than that, but since there is not much to miss from the 80's brazil i think i have a voice here ^^), this was, maybe beside fc barcelona under pep, the best football i have seen - and that from a national team, that had spent hardly any time together! they played this nice one touch football, direct approach. also: 3 world cup finals in a row, which was and is unheard of, not even peles brazil had this accomplishment) it was a joy to watch and the reason i became a fan of brazil team im 1994 ( im german). i think this is what you and brazil should strife for. bring the joga bonito back and show the world how the game is meant to be played: beautiful AND successful. if done properly its an undefendable style. if you score 4 you can concede 2 - no problems with being a bit weak in the back.

I am Brazilian and this result was not a fluke. Foreigners who like football do not watch our local tournaments. Our domestic football have declined in quality. Ridiculous people have been in charge of our football. Our best players are not in the best teams anymore. The clubs are full of people who does not know anything about football, so, this score was unpredictable but not a fluke. And the worse thing, after this game it is already 4 years ago, nothing has been made or done to change this scenario. For the "owners" of our football , everything is fine, but it is not . Shame on them, they are blame for this tragedy.
