In this video I show how to layer your fabrics, sewing and cut to create beautiful chenille fabrics. TOOLS AVAILABLE HERE cobarquiltshop.com.au/search?...
Your video is so very helpful. Have been searching YT and yours is one of the best. Thanks so much. I can see the possibilities with this technique are endless 👏👏👏
Beautiful fabric but you really need to put it in the washing machine and then drier to get that beautiful chenille look, do this before you do the binding as the fabric does shrink somewhat. Hope you find that helpful for further projects.
These pieces need to be washed and tossed in the dryer, pulled out before they are completely dry and brushed. The more they are washed and dried the more they ‘bloom’.
Beautiful fabric choices. I love it. Going to be doing some chenilleing when I get my craft room set up, which will be tomorrow. Just one little tiny problem, I had to turn my speakers all the way just to hear you....
This is beautiful! How were you able to sew through so many layers without a walking foot? I've started 1 & I'm using a walking foot & it is challenging. Also loved your tip about reversing the direction of cutting the channels.
tinker bell66 I don’t understand how reversing the direction of cutting the channels would make any difference to the look of the top piece. Wouldn’t they all just be cut straight through (leaving the backing fabric alone)? Would you be angling the cutter to make a difference?

It’s obviously a powerful sewing machine, hence why she states to “let the machine do the work”…😊👍🌞
Volume is very low
