Down here in Southwest Missouri I have a salvage yard and when a car like this comes in I service them and put it in the Front sellers row. I sell them to working men mostly who need some transportation to a job.I sell them cash only but work out deals for some of them.And surprisenly enough I've never had problems getting paid for a car . But I won't sell a mechanical asshole .If I won't drive it myself I won't sell it .But do beat the hell out of rusters ,rotters & Running wrecks. though .Knockers and thrashed cars get parted out. But decent running and looking cars get serviced and sold.
Jaredsfarm In Ontario they want you to not only have an emissions test every time you buy a vehicle but a safety inspection as well. That's a big part of it. Plus the cops pick on older cars and you get pulled over more. Another thing is the cost of repairs if you don't know how to do it yourself. In Western Canada you can buy a car like this for as little as $200! Not to mention the interest rate and lots of car dealers offering car loans to anyone with a valid driver's license who can spell their name...
He's right, cross the border into Michigan and there is junk cars everywhere, minivans and crap with 5 colors rolling down the highway. Cross into ANYWHERE Canada and all the cars are new.

Once the minor repair was made, looks like there would always be a market for a cheap, decent running car. That would sell for up to a thousand bucks here in the states. What a waste.
